I have to say, this has been the most exciting alpha to be a part of, i have sheer excitement when I check the forums when I see a little red number 1 telling me that Dean Hall or the other Devs have released a patch, or hot fix, and that is quite frequent, it keeps me driving to play and research about the game, a charm that no other game or Development team has able to accomplish. I also enjoy the game itself a lot, so much so, that i play it completely forgetting that things are getting improved and fixed and that just keeps me even more hooked, so to you Devs, i just want to say that you have successfully made an impact on my gaming choices, and i wish you all the best for the future updates.

It's a buff, Don't get overstuffed, Overstuffed means you can't run without throwing up losing your hunger status. Being stuffed in a zombie apocalypse is a good thing by the way, as food is scarce, in a role play point of view, your character should let his food and drink go down for a few minutes before sprinting and you can sprint away anyway to get the healthy status after around 5-10 minutes, given that you are engergized and hydrated.

Right guys, basically, i play with people i've never met before on teamspeak, however, that being said... i know them well enough to trust them, so there we were, we met up in berzino, we played for about 10 mins looting before we all rendezvoused at green building to which i teleported through a wall and fell to my death, oh well i thought onwards and up? Right here is were it gets annoying. I spawned in Berzino, holy shit right? I ran over, clearly spoke into the team speak, guys guys i'm here i'm here, british fella says "your bodies here mate" so i run over to it, Irish guy says "I'll keep watch." German guy says "bambi! bambi! put your hands up put your hands up!!!" So me and my pals think he's just fooling around, so as i start dressing into my old gear, he says "put the gear down you have 5 seconds!!" ... so we thought wait wtf this is weird... annnnnnnd then he shot me. Claims that the team speak was laggy and he couldn't hear me, the thing is, i trust him and i believe him, we have good history and maybe i was lagging.. i just questioned why he thought his teammates would casually allow a fresh spawn take all my gear without saying anything into the chat about it or KOS... right here is were it gets extremely aggravating. I spawned in the middle of nowhere with no zombies, no way to kill myself, so i ran for 20 minutes and found a rock, to which i jumped off and broke my legs.... i tried for another 10 minutes to kill myself and the rock wouldn't do it, so i crawled for another 10 minutes before i encountered a new spawn player to which was a sissy girl who said "Hi there!" and i said "hi can you kill me" and she said "Ew no" and ran away.... Here's where it gets ludicris The server Restarted, all my gear? Gone, my legs? still broken, where am i? In the middle of nowhere. Welcome to DayZ

But why? my friends were waiting on me and i didn't have long to play.

lots of things work for different computers, i bought a new card to run the game as the original card i had wasn't suffice, although if i had of changed some settings on the readme file then it would have been better, for example, try change the rendering distance from 3000 to 1500 etc, but you should search this up as my graphics card that i have now (HD Radeon 7870) is more than enough to run this game. Hope you figure it out.

In the game's current state it shouldn't run perfect even on a super computer, change your settings back to default and look at the rendering resolution, if it's too low, put it up and if it's too high, put it down, you should be above 80% at least to get a solid framerate.

the holster is good because it enables fast weapon switching but also is a fitting alternative when u cannot find anything else.

people who are in the game for pvp turn off Grass and trees and bring the graphics down, this means the next thing that appears are 1st party objects, such as players and zombies, this means that players can spot you before the environment even renders. turn your graphics down if u want this hack.

When you play at night and you try to be careful not to attract zombies and avoid players, stepping through a house making wooden floor footsteps whilst not knowing what awaits around the corner really keeps u on edge, infact, i spawned in at the school and i heard moving around in the next room and i sat still... and i accidently LEANED ON MY MOUSE AND LET OFF A MAGNUM SHOT. safe to say he sprinted away and i logged out lol.

To be honest, my eyes get very stressed looking at distant objects, the last thing i'd want is poor vision on my chara forcing me to look even harder at objects.

I was playing on a server at night, alone, with like 3 players on the server and i heard russling around and i found a player practically naked handcuffed and with a bag on his head in a feed shack and the noises he was making was demonic as fuck so i shot him. lol

Man the most insane stuff happens to me, i was at one of the castles and there were literally 30 zombies there and a player dancing in the middle of them all.

I've recorded lots of videos, and i usually have fraps going at all time but it was unlikely anything like that would happen i understand but it was a quiet server.

I have one word for you and it begins with A Ambiguity

Lol a guy attempted to rob me as i just spawned in at solchinski or whatever you call it. He said "Do you speak english? or russian? And then he told me to put my hands up or he'd kill me, so i did it and it said "etc is taking your blood" so i thought "Oh hell naw" and started punching him in the face, randomly he turned his back to me and then he passed out, i took his machine gun and shot his unconscious face AND THEN his friend turned up! with a water bottle out for some reason, geared as well as the fellow i shot he reached for his gun and i blasted him until the magazine ran dry. I really really wish i got this on video as i normally record using fraps, but there you are.

Sorry if this has already been answered, but i have been playing about 3 hours today and 3 hours yesterday, i have 10 clips of M4 ammo, lots of gear, a revolver which took me hours to find and a pistol which is already damaged, no clip for it but lots of rounds, i have lots and lots of food and water but i can't find a primary weapon, not even a shot gun, i was in the barracks at the NWAF when the server had just restarted, and i ran around looking quickly for a gun and i couldn't find one, not in the barracks, control tower or fire station, not even any attachments for it, besides an atlas bipod i found in a car. Is there a reason for this? I apologize if this has already been answered again, thanks for your time.

So i ran into a friendly Player on the beach, i wish you to stand forward and name yourself i'd like to meet up with you again because this was epic, but basically saw a bunch of well armed people, and this unfolds.

Completely out of ammo, i dropped the m4 for the guy in the black shirt, the one you heard speaking.

1)Do they have a gun? A)The Chances are, they are going to shoot at you for having a gun, just avoid them and you shouldn't have to shoot but if you are standing your ground in a building, you should make the right decision, unless you want to lose all that precious gear you found, i'd either KOS, or Sign out. 2)Are you in a group? A)The Chances are, if you are in a group, your sense to kill on sight could be a bit higher since finding water and food to supplement more than 1 player is a struggle so it's that mentality of survival of the fittest to try and hunt other players for gear. If you are alone, you should try and go inland and avoid KOS hotspots, such as Electro, Balota, NWAF and other military gear locations. 3)Should you waste the ammo? A)Killing an unarmed player can put you in the position of lacking ammo, especially on servers that have just restarted, you'll find it hard to stock up so that leaves server hopping one of your standing options to get bullets, you should avoid unarmed players, and don't let them get near you as i have been robbed from behind before from my backpack, and it only takes one click and drag for them to get your gun. Speak to them and see what they are like. 4)Are THEY? in a group? A)other survivors usually are only out for banditry when travelling together, the more there are, then the higher chance some nitwit will fire. 5)Kill on sight, and give yourself away to enemy snipers and you'll lose all that loot anyway. So as you can see, the only thing other than blood lust, and personal dick measuring, there are no other legitimate reasons to KOS other than self defence.

From experience, i've died about 20 times to this.
