Towns that people don't go to often?
eleventhavenue replied to CrocoDan's topic in General Discussion
Comrade, no one ever goes to Zelenaya Gora... They have good reason... -
I imagine that you have to pack the syringes carefully to not break them...

Dead players eventually become lootable zombies
eleventhavenue replied to professorofdarkness's topic in Suggestions
They're not actual zombies, atleast not walking-dead style zombies. They don't ´´reanimate´´ and they're not really dead either. -
New models for DayZ--<Enjoy>--!
eleventhavenue replied to Hebrew Melvin's topic in General Discussion
The opposite. I think night vision in any shape or form is a horrible idea. -
I didn't really like it very much. It was nice but it blocked out other sounds too much. I think I used to have it playing at really low volume so that it became a kind of background sound. In the SA I think I would prefer more background ambient sounds instead.
-
Comrade, if you willingly complain about a poor player complaining about being murderized by the Friendly-Squad teleporting in from another dimension, I have nothin good to say about you.
-
You have learned to win the game. That is the first step to becoming a true DayZ player. Now you must learn to loose the game.

Komrade, these are specially developed hyper-efficent backpacks made for the soldiers of the motherland. By removing unnecesary capitalist features, we have achieved 100% item storage/item volume efficency and we can thus store an infinite number of backpacks inside other backpacks. Beware of singularity forming dangers.

" does not expect that DayZ will reach beta status before the end of 2014."

This is the best comparison I have ever read. -

Excuse me for this correction, but this is infact of great interested to the top 0,0000001% of players, about 0,889 of them. You should not underestimate the efffect that nine tenths of a person can have on the community. You have, I believe, heard of the glorious OP's exploits? Yes? Edit for OP: Surely you must have miswritten your reply to me. We all know about how glorious and honorable camping is. -

eleventhavenue replied to mooky32's topic in General Discussion
If I may bask in your glory for a moment, I must tell you of my own exploits; I killed a guy in the Cherno fire station. I recall, clear as if it was yesterday... He died. It was sad for him. Then his friend killed me. That was sad for me. But, for just a moment, I felt the glory, the true glory of killing another player. It felt remarkably a lot like shooting someone in a video game. It did require a lot of skill, though. For example, I had to point my mouse at the player. And I also had to camp the firestation until they walked out of it. Very hard. I wanted a snack! The apocalypse is truly a horrible place. Needs more snacks.- 496 replies

What to do when geared on DayZ for fun?
eleventhavenue replied to thebalfrog's topic in General Discussion
Plan 1: Collect books Plan 1.1: Open book store in Chernogorsk Plan 1.2: Restrain players, put books in their inventories and force them to read the books out loud for personal entertainment. Plan 1.3: Form sect in Chernogorsk church, restrain newspawns, read from the holy bible while cleansing their souls with the holy disinfectant. (Yes, it started going downhill after that) -

Please! In no way did I attempt to provoke you into turning this into an unmannerly discussion. I just noted the apparent problems of teaching the humble world your ways when only approximately 0,0889 persons care. -

eleventhavenue replied to mooky32's topic in General Discussion
I don't get why people sound so hateful on this fellow! He himself states that only one in every ten million of all DayZ players would be interested in this story, and he is truly correct about that.- 496 replies

In my opinion looking like a Gud Komrade beats getting 4 extra slots. For the same reason I choose a trapper's hat over a ballistic helm. Really, with a 35-slot backpack, 2 or 4 extra slots really do not matter that much. So far, I've never been KOS'ed, and several times have I, on my own, met a group of armed people and I could convince them to leave me alone.

The goals of a group....Discussion.
eleventhavenue replied to katana2665's topic in General Discussion
Make players benefit from cooperation, group building, scoiety building... but no hard systems. More, emergent gameplay from simple systems. Atleast, that is the picture I get form the way development is moving. I doubt we will see a ´´trading system´´ but maybe more incentive to trade rather than to steal, or at the very least, to steal instead of killing for loot? -
Hallucinations a thing or am I imagining it?
eleventhavenue replied to Ageati's topic in General Discussion
It's the ´´Zombie Bunny´´ glitch. I seriously think they should consider adding this, maybe as a symptom of various diseases. I also think the ambient sounds in forests should be more varied. -
I don't think he not coming to terms with people will make him loose his job, so I don't see why he should resign ;) (considering that the logic of you people seems to be ´´if no one stops me it is ok´´) Also, I agree with Mr. Forum team man, and I think Mr. Forum team man perfectly knows his place and it is the one Mr. Forum Team man now is occupying.

Komrade! In here we do not speak of the mountain. No. -
fast and highly observant zombies are bad for the game
eleventhavenue replied to Antiklimax's topic in General Discussion
It seems like right now, Zombies can spot players at distances of over seceral hundred meters, but they have no sense of hearing. Basically, if you get in view of their laser-eyes, they aggro but not if you walk up behind them. Alpher is alpher, I guess. -
M4 assault rifle accuracy test (VIDEO)
eleventhavenue replied to blitz's topic in General Discussion
Exactly. Even if I am a completely untrained sivilian, who is starving, winded, thirsty and sick, that STILL does not mean that the gun itself is more innaccurate than one fired by a professional. It's not like the gun has a mind of its own and decides ´´Tee-Hee this guy is such a noobie I will make all the bullets swerve off course´´. The inherent innaccuracy caused by the gun itself should be much lower, and especially for bolt-action rifles like the Mosin-Nagant which do not have any moving parts while firing. -
Lots of work with this. What happens when you gallop into a brick wall? What happens when someone shoots your horse wihile you ride it? What happens if someone injures your horse? So many game systems... I don't really think this is the work, despite how nice it would be to have horses.

Loads of storage...no food?
eleventhavenue replied to jackoftrades_rt's topic in New Player Discussion
This. Go to the deserted villages in central Chernarus, like Kozlovka, and you'lll be swimming in supplies. Most villages also have a water pump. Don't forget to look in ordinary houses, not just the supermarkets and such -
Suggestion - Usable Train - Dayz SA
eleventhavenue replied to Fragsponge's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I would rather prefer some small diesel-powered draisine or something. There's really no need to go overboard with this kind of stuff when there's so much else to spend development time on. Something like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Chessie_System_speeder,_Linden,_Indiana.jpg -
I'm no gun expert, but I'm pretty sure that you should be able to feed single bullets into the mosin, considering how freely you can combine the ammo stacks. Pretty sure this is just a glitch.
