I really don't see why people are so bothered about PvM servers, if people like PvM. Why prevent them? heres is gazzilion others that are PVP, PVP and more PEEVEEPEE.

1. There will be hackers, but nowhere as much as the mod. And game devs always hate hackers so it will be addressed. 2. There are no vehicles yet, just so that i said. It really depends, this game requires a lot of walking so if i only had 1 hour to play, i probably wouldn't go on.

There are PvM servers but i've found bodies there so i actully consider them less safe then normal servers. I can't kill them but nothing stops them from killing me from behind.

I like watching my character :c, but i'm gone try playing on a server first person some day ;3

twice, once i killed, once i got knocked unconscious but my friends were there to help me (stuffing me with lot of stuffs as we didn't know what would work).

Your corpse stays if you logs out, but only if your dead.

The alfa is for people who want to try the game in early stages, report bugs etc. If your main intention is just to play the best game, go and play the mod. Even the developers says so, take the hint. I bought mod after i bought the standalone, since i got a lil bit bored of waiting on friends to go online with the main purpose to kill KoSers, even if our record is not quite clean either :p I gota say this tough, the standalone got a heck lot of a big potentional, i hope the the devs releases a simple to use mod system, so we can see stuffs like epoch.

Hais, I just recently bought the DayZ standalone to follow the development, and i'm honestly surprised how good it is and not to mention how much potential it has. The standalone i got like 5 irl friends to play with, the mod i got none? i think. I just wondered how it is to play it, and if its easy to get together with groups etc. Just so it said, i don't like KoSing, i like PvE and killing bandits or what you seem to refer to them as ^^ Considering its only 5 euros atm, it sounds a bit tempting :)

As a software developer myself, i'd say its not. As people will always find what triggers it and what not. Its a tad bit annoying situation, as the ways i can think of is far from perfect. Optimal would be that you would be stuck on that server for an x hours, if you logs your body stays on the ground appearing only half dead.

And yah, i bought mod so i might join you folks on chat or something(if you allow visitors), maybe there is some familiar voices ^^.

Rotten food needs to change, it should be a chance you get sick and you shoulden't loose blood from it only maybe start to look blurry or something, maybe have your character actully vomit.

Now the bigger question is, is the missinterpretation to play or to play play :P And i dunno why, but i suddently got a uber urge to continue to watch the walking dead ^^ Ofc, but i like to hear what pro, cons the mod has to the soon-to-be standalone. Ofc. decision like that is on myself :P
