The same thing happens to me but mine usually comes around every 5-10 minutes.

The actual DayZ mod is free but you have to have Arma 2 Combined Operations to play it. The DayZ you bought on steam is the Standalone game, not the mod.

I have windows 8 and I can run Arma 2 and Arma 3. So you should be fine. Depending on you GPU and CPU though.

Idk about this because when I turn my clouds ON I see better at night time so idk if it is only me or what.

It is really not admin abuse it is just that they can't add passwords to their servers yet so they do this instead.

Well with the guy coming back to life that is a simple glitch that can happen if he combat logs but with your friend being teleported into the middle of the ocean, idk about that.

I agree that this should be implemented into the game.

To lose the zombies try and run through bushes and up hills that will most likely get them off you and I think the detection system for the zombies is bugged. Now to meet up with a friend this could be very difficult if you don't know the map. So you just learn as you play and hope for the best.

Maybe you should of tried giving him water instead of soda, not saying it will work but it is worth a shot.
