A mate of me experienced this, too :( I think, that the hive will save your latest progress, so: Your character is absolutely gone, I think. Last time i've seen this, it was linked with an error like "Can't load character". I don't think, there's any solution than going north an *obligatory alpha blablabla*. Have my beans for consolation :D

WTF? He just agreed. But i really wonder how they will "fix" it, if they want to save the hive-system? Will the gear, someone looted, respawn after the player switched the server? This could be one solution.

There's really no need to have paper or stones in order to make a fire. Paper: You can craft the tinder from the wood directly. Stones: Nobody gives a F- if there burns down a house or a forest after the apocalypsis. But I agree with you, because I would prefer the materials "Paper, Matches, Wood" more then "Stone, Matches, Wood". Ther'e just too many ways to keep a campfire secure without stones - plus you don't really have to care at all. Btw I would love to see, if you could build an cooking-gadget with an empty can, a scissor and some alcohol.

What do you guys think about the "new" Stary Sobor? I was there yesterday and realized, that there's no single military tent o_o. I think the military base nearby compensates it though. But the MB is really close to the North Western Airfield and so you concentrate all the good loot on a quite small area.

Would shoot a guy just for not standing still 2 seconds after the "FREEZE". I don't really have an interest in killing the other, but it seems, there no way out, if you want to survive. We've raided the military base near kabanino with a 5 man squad yesterday, when we've seen a guy running over the open field towards the base. As we arrived and have known, that there must be a geared up player, who just looted, we where freakin' careful and secured the base in a professional way 8D. A few minutes later, we realized, that he just hopped the server, looted, and logged out. So we were not able to rob him or get any amunition. It wasn't really bad, because we're quite good geared, but it sucks though :( NWF will be the next stop /o/

I agree. Rare pistolspawns are quite okay, because a civillian could own one. But no M4's, Ghillies and so on like in the mod, please.

Sure I do. Next time, they just should announce it for "End of the year" instead of christmas, because they can know before, that they will have less time between 23. and 27. ^__^

I don't want to have army-stuff in civil buildings. The loot has to be realistic. And yes, it is announced, that the lootsystem is less than halfbaked and will be improved.

You guys are right, we should chill. But alpha or not: We're paying customers and if they give a deadline, they have to adhire to it, because they are professionals and no modders. I'm not mad. I repeat: Not mad! But the word "Alpha" is just no excuse for stagnation - it is the opposite.

It's just alpha ~o~ Some friends of mine already died by random bugs, too. They're walking into a building: You are dead! Well, yes, this is really sad but I don't know the origin of the problem. It's a known bug, that the ambientanimals like birds are making Z-Noises. This will be fixed with the implementation of a soundeffect-overhaul.

NO DayZ will hopefully not go casual!! It should stay the hardest multiplayergame ever. Or one of them. But you're right in all the other points. There should be a "puinishement" for fireing bullets. This could be solved with the new Infected-AI for example.

I ain't trolling. Yes, it was a little offensive, but I was honest. Don't play something, you're rageing about. It's just that simple. If the bugs are too annoying for you, you should really wait for the release and play something you have fun with until DayZ is ready. This could even be the Mod.

The pathing, the AI, the collision and the laggproblems of Z's will be fixed during the alpha, but they're still messed up. Sometimes I even pull them on a way too long range.

I absolutely agree, IF the Char has any weapon.

It would be really fun, if you could open cans using the street. But this technique should be noisy and Z-Attractive! So if you want to be save, you would have to open it with an sharp object.
