I don't KoS... how do I survive this situation? LOL... I don't... I regularly get killed up in the north by any player that sees me first I regularly get killed by any server hopper that jumps in the same barrack where I'm looting after I accurately checked the area I regularly get killed on the coast even when I wear just a tee shirt

Server hopping is killing the game. If BI doesn't find a solution soon and stop server hopping, the game is dead! What is the purpose of surviving and trying to get gear by traveling from place to place if people just jump from server to server to get fully geared in minutes and then go on a killing run? Not to talk about being killed by a server hopping bastard who spawns next to you...

To everybody who says it is an Alpha (like I didn't know...) I don't think is such a big deal for a programmer to give a spawn on a new different server an inventory wipe...

I would like to join you. I have one year of DayZ experience. I tend not to KoS... I'm going to respawn because I fell out of a window in Cherno... LOL I don't have a mic ATM -
I cannot find my own bodies after I respawn... Happened every time I tried to recover my stuff... Is it supposed to happen or is it a bug?

I found plenty of other players bodies but three times I tried to recover my own body and I never found it even If I knew exactly where it was -
Here is my 10 cents... I would like to have the option to craft an explosive vest, that can be detonated on command or when hit by a bullet. I would love to see the KOS trigger happy people think twice before shooting me without communicating first. 30 m radius blast could kill or severely hurt anybody in the area. Just an idea ;-)

It is not a problem of bandits. I think bandits are an essential element to the game and the zombie catastrophe environment. The problem is that KOS is always the easiest and most "logical" solution in a random encounter of two or more players in game. Also the player who is willing to KOS without any moral prejudice is at a huge advantage against the player who would rather salute or talk first before start shooting. I don't KOS but I'm debating if it is the only way to survive once geared up and if you want to visit more popular locations. Not sure if adding the elements you listed would be a solution. But I would surely like to see less trigger happy KOS situations. -
I was hoping that the standalone will promote some cooperation between players and at least to a certain degree eliminate the KOS trend that basically ruined my experience in the Mod. Fact is that KOS is still here and I cannot see how it will go away. I managed to travel from Elektro up to Berezino, didn't meet anybody, everything is OK, decent experience... I reach Krasnostav, and while looting a house I get killed through the window... Did I have good loot on me? No, just a small backpack and the helmet, no guns. Second game... spawn in Cherno, try to get some basic gear, still in my fresh spawn tee shirt, checking a building, I come out of the door and bang bang... Do I want to play again, yes! But damn it is frustrating... What to do to limit KOS? Should it go away? In a real world scenario I don't think people would be killing other people like that, for moral and practical reasons... In DayZ? Just the opposite, morality = weakness, for practical reasons if you can kill another player first is better for you... Kill or be killed But I hoped it would be different... maybe I'm naive...

Wait till you die of hunger... It happened to me too yesterday. It takes a while but once you are unconscious you can respawn.

Butthurt? LOL no... I played the mod for too long to be butthurt for being killed. I was pissed of of course the first times I played the mod and got killed after 2 days of surviving. Now not anymore, but sure I don't want this to be CoD... -

I'm not saying it should go away completely. But killing somebody who clearly is not a danger for you, or will not bring any benefits is insane. I would like to see a nice fight between two clans, a battle over the control of a condo building, that would be realistic.
