Players like to team up and play together for various reasons. It is more fun, you can protect each other in a team, you are more dangerous, you can plan strategies and help each other. There is only one problem... 90% of the teams and groups/clans that play together in the game are created outside of the game. Either they are friends in real life, or they create the team in specific web pages that connect DayZ players. In this sense I think the game has failed to create that realistic environment that would lead to people teaming up naturally in game and not outside of it. What can the developers do to promote or help to solve this. Is it lack of communication? Is it because of the constant fear of being killed? Is it because in game we all become ruthless killers without any sign of humanity? Thoughts?

How many of you can read/write russian?

Maybe you are right. I was reading somewhere that the names are basically Czech but written in Cyrillic. It could be that what I read was wrong. My language is Slovenian and I can understand the names completely, but I cannot tell what language they are. I based my knowledge on some info found somewhere on a webpage... not very reliable hehehe -

Actually the signs around DayZ are written in Cyrillic but the names are based on the Czech language, not Russian or maybe not... LOL -
To me they seem still the same old useless laughable zombies from before. I was in Berezino unlooted, between the lower port area and the upper Berezino I met literally 2 zombies. I was circling around one and it took 5 seconds before he aggroed. The other zombie spotted me from around 100 m and I heard him when I entered a building but I never seen him after that...

It is not the fucking rabbits... I was on top of the factory in Cherno, highest point above ground anywhere and I literally was hearing a concert of all kind of random noises... Zombies, drinking, reloading etc etc... It was like I was hearing everything everybody was doing in the server... -

I give you all my beans! I so agree with you. It is sad reading the forums and see that most of the people don't care about the zombies at all. Everybody is talking about guns, more guns, vehicles, tents, clothing... At this point they could take away the zombies completely and nobody would even notice... -
Anybody else have really bad FPS especially in towns or looking into a town after the patch? In my case it is almost unplayable at moments. Before it was good, now it is terrible.

Well said! I just hope the zombies will give me that fear I had when I first played the Mod... That feeling of danger and terror when I first woke up on the beach near the Lighthouse down between Kamenka and Komarovo

I'm starting a book club soon. We are meeting every Saturday either at the Hotel in Cherno or at the restaurant in Berezino at 5.pm. Tea will be served, the ladies of the club will prepare cookies.

I still rather go all the way up to NEAF and then to NWAF. I never liked the Balota AF, always felt it is way more dangerous, and the Pavlovo military camp is the same. It looks like a trap to me. At the two north AFs I can check the area much better and also NWAF is so big that if a bandit is camping one side, the other side is safe. Still my favorite place to get military gear. -

1: Avoid big cities... ok, done that, now what? Should I live in the forest and go only to those boring hamlets where there is not even a zombie around? 2: Totally agree with this point. It was always my tactic too, always worked when freshly spawned 3: When you see players... observe them... only to see them log out after a minute or two 4: Scout and observe? Yeah done that, only to find a server hopper spawn behind you and bang bang bang 5: Makes sense 6: Avoid this, avoid that... Where is a poor fresh spawn supposed to get some decent gear? In Mogilevka? At a certain point you must go to the military areas. I know the purpose of the game is to stay alive (technically) but it is also to have fun. If it is boring and is no fun... what game is it?

I never said that I want super zombies... I just want zombies that follow you and are many and scary and everything a zombie should be. Not a sleeping creature you can run around without being noticed... -

It is funny how everybody in the forums are talking about guns, and what kind of guns, and tents, and vehicles, bikes, and armored vehicles and helicopters and, and... and bombs and... nukes yeaaaah, but it seems nobody cares for those creatures that are supposed to be terrifying, dangerous, the real rulers of Chernarus (oh and the game is named after them...) it is really funny...

The problem is (since it is Alpha) there is nothing much to survive from... Hunger? Not a big deal... Thirst? Even easier, just find a well and drink drink drink. Zombies? HAHAHAHAHAHA, Cold? boh... Other players? Maybe, but since the patch weapons are much rarer, we will see... I just hope they can add enough elements to the game to make it interesting. I played the Mod for a year and I know every little corner of the map, and the standalone alpha is so far extremely boring and doesn't give many options to do something.
