Can't agree more, your common sense should be enough to differ whether 'x' player wants to kill you or not, use VOIP and you can tell by the way they speak. If it's not enough, some real life experience is lacking :(

World of Warcraft player detected, in modern MMOs death penalty is nothing compared to the first generation MMOs. If you don't wanna lose your stuff, don't die ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ﾉ. The adrenaline when you're about to die is what makes the game worth playing, nailed it. -
Cheating/Exploting Player Hopping Servers

Dude, I got killed by this guy and 2 buddies of mine! We were on balota airport and 2 of my buddies were hiding on the jail building, then this guy appears randomly behind them and starts shooting. I was holding my ground on the outskirts hidden on the forest, then as I was watching the jail building, I saw him through the wall jumping into the second floor (WEIRD AS FUCK). Then I went in, checked every single corner, as soon as I came down from stairs, he comes from my back on the first floor and kills me. Blatant hack as hell, must be banned from every freaking server. -
Agreed, this should only happen if the guy hopped and there is another person nearby where he tried to server hop to, so he would get tped outside the field/city. If there is no one around though, why would it matter?

The books/paper idea seems legit. It would also be cool, if there is a lot of smoke as a consequence of the campfire, so people around the area might spot the campfire. It would add a more realistic tone to the game, imo. -
