I've had people combat log on me when all I had was a baseball bat and running around like an idiot in my underwear...and they actually had guns...go figure. Combat logging/hopping/ghosting are all things slated to be addressed during the development. For now we have to deal with. It basically.

The devs are supposed to be finalizing the dev roadmap this month so hopefully we'll see that too once it's done. They have already said there will be. More items, more clothes, more weapons, more zombies, more optimization and 25% more paper on the roll so the bases have all been covered basically.

So you don't like people telling you how to play the game so you tell them how to play the game and throw around some bonus profanity? I don't care to debate the ethos of killing on sight, camping coasters and newspawns, heroes vs bandits, etc, yada yada. I think everyone should play how they want to play and remember that telling people how they should or shouldn't play the game works both ways. It seems like a lot of KOSers forget their own ethos...ala "deal with it." If you honestly can't stand someone complaining about being killed...then...uh...don't kill them? Otherwise, people are gonna complain about it, no different from the mod.

So you want a separate set of controls for "eye look" i.e. Looking around without moving your head as in actual peripheral vision which would allow you to crane your eyes upward and see...the brim of your hat.That seems like it would be a pretty wasted mechanic with an incredibly low payout.

Could have been someone running a modified server. Try a different server. Try a lot of different servers. There are many servers with issues. Try connecting to a server with a decent number of players.

Yeah to reiterate, I don't think you were cheating. It was definitely not an impossible shot. I have a devil's advocate streak though so I just wanted to point out that it is possible to use game hacks, without them showing up in your streams/youtube/etc. It all depends on if and how the cheat (normally ESP/Radar hacks) "hook" into the game. I could explain it further but it's not really a productive area of discussion to delve further into than that.

Warlords and Pong are actually two of my kids' favorite games despite the fact that they have nintendos, xboxes and computers. They also complain that I'm too hard on them in Street Fighter despite the fact that I occasionally let the younger ones win.

I don't think you were cheating but a video doesn't really absolutely prove that you weren't. Most game hacks are known to be drawn on independent graphic layers that don't appear when recording video. That's not just something I'm pulling out of my ass either. It's a well known feature in many game hacks, especially paid/subscription ones. Many streamers/youtubers have been later caught and banned despite many "proof" videos they've posted proclaiming their innocence.

All this appears to be is a survey where you have checked things you want in DayZ.

Haxxors in online games. News at 11. But seriously, I wouldn't call hackers and script kiddies a huge problem in DayZ right now. Yeah, they exist but many of them have already been banhammered and have already begun filling these forums, steam forums and their hax forums with tears, none of which are met with pity. And to be Frank, the DayZ mod has more than it's fair share of well known hackers and epeeners.

My thoughts on "Stream Sniping": A lot of streamers have been admonished by DayZ staff for locking public servers and auto-kicking and then there are certain streamers who have made quite the reputation for themselves hacking on the DayZ mod so a few of them, kind of bring the hate on themselves. For the rest, being "efamous" comes with followers, both good and bad. On the same note, streamers are no different from players either, there are good and bad ones. Anyone who tries to make the argument, that streamers need ad revenue so they can pay their rent, buy diapers for their babies and that anyone who stops them from "winning" is stealing their internet moniez is ridiculous. As far as claims that all these stream snipers are haxxors...ZOMG! You don't need hax to stream snipe someone. Names can be easily found from Steam Community, google, etc. including the fact Steam publicly tracks your previously used aliases. As far as figuring out what server they're playing on, all you need is: http://www.gametracker.com/search/dayz/ So while there may be a few stream snipers who have used hacks, it's silly to accuse all stream snipers of hacking because you don't need hacks to track someone down on Steam/In-Game not to mention a lot of them constantly stick to Cherno/Balota, so it's not exactly hard to find them in-game. I'm not advocating stream sniping and I'm not saying it's wrong or right but if you're playing on a public server, you shouldn't expect any special privileges cuz ur youtubes famous or whatever. Most of these streamers run around in DayZ with large squads in full milgear killing other players and what's the bandit ethos/typical response to being killed? Deal with it...so they should take their own advice. My advice for playing DayZ and streaming? Just have fun. Classic DayZ advice? Don't get too attached to your gear.

Has anyone ever got a free copy of Battlefield/CoD/etc. just because they bought it for PC? Generally, no. Buying a PC or console version of a game doesn't entitle you to a free copy of it on different platforms, unless there is a specifically stated promotion for that. As far as a console version of DayZ, it's already been addressed many times. Rocket talked about it as a possibility. There have been no official announcements of development beginning for a console version of DayZ and I wouldn't hold your breath on that.

If you're gonna KOS everyone, and kill coasties and newspawns because you mad, that's your prerogative. You don't have to justify it...as long as you realistically expect the same in return. That said, giving guns/ammo to coasties you don't know is your bad.

I find it a little hard to take this seriously with the "plox" in the title. That said, conditions/status ailments/hunger/thirst/etc. aren't fully implemented yet. I think in the future, players will find it a little more difficult to turbosprint for extended periods of time. I'm not sure if you're being facetious or not but it takes a hell of lot more than 20-30 minutes to walk across the entirety of Chernarus.

Empty your hands before you start eating, otherwise if you have a weapon equipped you'll pull it back out after every portion. Other than that, it's fine how it is.

You got those from another player. Ammo boxes don't spawn with any bullets in them, much less 300.

Stop repeatedly doing the same thing that gets you killed repeatedly. Guy with an axe? Run away...easy. Guy with gun? Take less obvious routes and avoid lingering in coast towns...or just join lower pop servers. I was running around Kamyshova for a few hours last night on a full server and there were bandits camping on the road outside of town. They must have expended over 60 rounds trying to shoot me because the idiots couldn't hit anyone that wasn't running in a straight line. I kept circling around them, with nothing but underwear and a bat making fun of them. So yeah, it's not impossible to not get killed.
