I saw it when you posted it on Reddit. I'm just stating my overall general thoughts on the issue. As far as combat loggers, server hoppers, ghosters, etc. the dev team is in the process of addressing those issues so at some point, they'll mostly likely cease to be an issue at all.

Bandits are not ruining DayZ. KOS is not ruining DayZ. People who complain about bandits and KOS aren't ruining DayZ either. There is no right or wrong way to play DayZ. There are only two rules everyone needs to remember when playing DayZ. In fact, Rule #2 pretty much sums up Rule #1 as well. 1. Don't get too attached to your gear. (You're just holding it for someone else) 2. Deal with it.

I get the jump on an unsuspecting coastie running around in Solnichniy. What sick, twisted and demented things will I do to him? *No items were duped and no servers were hopped in the making of this video* (That's my kids coughing in the background. We're all sick. Didn't have FRAPS set up right)

I guess my real point is some people take DayZ a little too seriously. The complaints about bandits and people who KOS and the complaints about the people complaining about being killed and both sides telling the other they're playing the wrong way. There is no right or wrong way to play DayZ. I can have just as much fun (if not more) running around in my underwear as I can in full milgear. Super cool loot and awesome weapons isn't what made DayZ the phenomenon it is. It's the interactions between players, good and bad. In my opinion before you can truly understand and enjoy DayZ, you must be prepared to let go of everything.

I read your thread. You're claiming that people are ruining the game because they "just play to get their ''Mosins'' and houndreds of ammunition to it, then they hide and shoot random people for no reason" and "don't have even any idea of Role Playing." So, you hate people who "ruin" your game by playing the way they want to play...so you want to dictate the way they play. So, my point still stands. Why do some people even play this game? Because they paid 30 bucks to play it. There is no black and white in DayZ and there is no bottom-powdering. If you're getting killed repeatedly then try a lower pop server, avoid the coast, approach high profile coastal towns and military bases with caution, avoid open roads and highly visible travel routes and if someone is shooting at you head for cover and...SERPENTINE! And never forget the two fundamental rules of DayZ: 1. Don't get too attached to your gear. 2. Deal with it.

If you had this problem before and sorted it out with Steam customer support, why don't you just send Steam customer support the old emails detailing the problem? Both myself and Shrapnel posted links to Steam support. No one here works for Steam. Steam support are the only people that can help you with this issue.

No one is forcing you to be friendly on so-called "friendly" servers. If anything, I would be even more paranoid on a server with friendly in its name. Honestly, I think it's just an ironic gimmick server operators are using in many cases.

I feel compelled to say that it appears that Jexter is the only one who got the joke. I know some of you are fairly new to DayZ but c'mon people, there are no ranks and prestige levels in DayZ. I thought the claim on the front page that we're getting "mechanized armor suits" in the next patch might be a giveaway too, if not the disclaimer on the registration page. There is no "newspawn" kill tracking. :P Anyway, that's my point. DayZ isn't about epeening about stats or kdr or non-existent ranks and leaderboards. In a game where you can just camp on the coast and kill newspawns who are lucky if they have a bat, kdr doesn't mean anything. It's an "anti-game" according to Rocket and it's a game where you make your own fun.

He would have gotten shot while turning around and stopping to pull out the M4. He should have run left and used the trees and houses as cover and to lose the attackers, shouldn't have entered a house where his attackers could see him and shouldn't have left the door open and should have leaned around the corner of the stairs and covered the door waiting for them to follow if he knew they were following.

Well, I tried searching Steam support and google for other users saying their verification email was being sent to a chinese website called www.sina.com but I couldn't find anything remotely close to that or even users claiming steam was sending authentication emails to the wrong email address. Perhaps you could provide a link to this issue, which you say has been reported by many users? I have never heard of Steam accidentally resetting your account email address, to an email associated with a Chinese media website. I may be going on a limb here but, you can't access your Steam account and Steam is sending your authentication emails to a Chinese email address...you might have got hijacked. If this has happened to you before, you probably compromised your computer, most likely by downloading some malicious software. You said you were hoping for a solution from the forums but it appears the solution you want is for BI/DayZ to completely remove it's Steam support? Er...? It sounds like what you need to be doing is getting control of your Steam account. Even if you didn't own DayZ, I would think you want to do that anyway. So you claim Steam has your user email set to a random Chinese media company/website but that your account has not been hacked. In that case, who set your email to that website's domain? You also claim that Steam has the "worst customer service from any company in the world" which leads me to believe you have never interacted with EA or Activision customer support. At any rate, this is a Steam issue and I find it somewhat suspect that your email was set to a chinese domain without your knowledge even though you adamantly claim your account hasn't been hacked.

The guy in that video clearly punched the other guy TWICE and he immediately got up after being knocked down...not out. So I'm pretty sure my point still stands. That guy also had a clear shot at him and while the "freshspawn" ran around, the geared player stood in the exact same spot not even moving and allowed himself to be flanked like an idiot. Clearly he got what he deserved. DayZ isn't in the business of powdering bottoms. If anything that video illustrates why you should be able to knock people down and gank them.

I've never seen a full health, geared player knocked out by a single punch, knocked down at best and rarely at that. Did too. :P ^^ It might be more convincing if you made a video to demonstrate how OP a player with fists is when they're "kamikaze-ing their way into geared players" as you put it.
