I got one of these: (that little button on the top left of a dude running, is a built-in auto-run key) I've never even bothered setting up any of the macros, because the auto-run is the only thing I ever use.

I axe-murdered a couple players the other day who were in the process of looting their numerous intentionally created clones, then I murdered their clones, which isn't really murder. It's more like "closing the loop." :P They had more than a few clones of themselves so it was pretty obvious they were doing it on purpose. They were so engrossed in their cheating and looting their clones, that they didn't hear me running up to bury an axe in their heads.

You cannot sprint at full speed with a weapon in your hands, so no. Also, to use another item you will have to constantly drop the weapon you're holding in your hands and since this is Alpha, things you drop on the ground/floor are sometimes never seen again.

That's probably not going to happen, since they intentionally decreased its spawn rate.

DayZ is hella different compared to games like Saints. Row/GTA/etc. The most profanity supplied by DayZ is the ability to perform a flip-off gesture, aside from interactions with other players on voice, which is no different if his kid has ever played xbox or play station online. And there are NO sexual mechanics in DayZ! None!

From the point of view of violence, blood, gore, it's not heavy on it at all. The zombies in DayZ are probably about the least terrifying zombies you'll ever see in a zombie themed video game. The main selling point of DayZ is actually the interactions between players, both good and bad. The game features both chat and voice, so if you're not into that well...I dunno what to tell ya. It's online only as well. That said, it's not a particularly bad game for a 14 year old, as long as you make sure he plays responsibly when it comes to interacting and talking with other players online. This is about as bloody as DayZ gets. As you can see in the pic below, the air appears to be bleeding. It's a somewhat comical bug that has yet to be fixed.

Until you're ready to make friends with other players, you may as well dump the blood bag kits/saline/etc. and just stick to bandages and other self-administerable items. That's for the lone wolves out there. If you've got a friend, you're good to go.

Ah, your formatting is much better! 1. KOS = Kill on Sight, PVP = Player Vs. Player, PVE = Player Vs. Environment, 3PP = 3rd Person Perspective, ON means you can switch between 1stP/3rdP, Off means it's 1st Person only. You don't really need to worry about the numbers and other stuff. You should know though, for Public servers "NO KOS" / "NO PVP" is completely unenforceable. It is against the official server rules to kick or ban players on Public servers for killing you and currently players can only host public servers. If you are kicked or banned on any server for killing a player, that is a violation of the official server rules. That said, many servers will use "NO KOS" or "FRIENDLY" to lure players in but make no attempt to enforce it. Such "friendly" servers are often far less friendlier than normal servers. You may also see many servers with names like "NO JOIN", "DONT JOIN", "AUTO KICK", "CLAN ONLY", etc. These servers are in violation of the official server rules. 2. Killing yourself is not an effective means of getting a "better spawn location." Often such players will waste more time suiciding repeatedly than they would if they just set out to their desired destination from the get go. Try the DayZ wiki here: http://dayz.gamepedia.com/DayZ_Standalone_Wiki They list areas and building types where various items/weapons normally spawn. The DayZ DB Map also has interactive filters that highlight various spawning locations on the map. Schools are almost guaranteed to spawn Mosins. Military Camps and Airfields will often have M4s or M4 parts, although their spawn rate has been significantly reduced. 3. You should always aim to play on low ping servers, 100ms or less is ideal. You should also give a server browser an extra 30 seconds to a minute to fully list all the available servers. Alternatively, you can also search for servers much more efficiently here: http://www.gametracker.com/search/dayz/ and then enter the IP/Port in manually of the server you want to connect to.

I'm pretty sure they're based off of keywords similar to the current video or something, although somehow it always shows completely unrelated videos. Regardless, I haven't side-surfed youtube for months since the last time I came across the Cow with the "river of puss" pouring out of it's leg. If you type in "river of puss" it'll pop right up in the searches, along with a bunch of other stuff you won't be able to unwatch.

I axe-murdered two dupers yesterday while they were in the process of looting their duped corpses. I axe-murdered the dupes they hadn't killed yet as well. Then I ran off naked with my fireaxe. 100% Guilt-free axe-murdering.

Oh...man...some spaces between those questions would make it a lot easier to answer those questions. 1. Guns have low spawn rates. In fact, their spawn rate was just decreased. 2. There are online maps for DayZ. http://dayzdb.com/map Some consider it "cheating" to look at the maps but I'd say a majority of DayZ players have scoped out some DayZ maps at some point in time. Many of the old mod players don't need/use maps anymore because they've played the mod for so long and the Standalone map is very similar to the original mod map. After a week or two, you won't need the map as much and sooner or later you won't need it at all. The easiest way to group up, is find a town, on the main road leading in and out there should be roadsigns that tell you the name of the town. Work from there. It's important to note, signs in-game show town names in Russian. I.E. Могилевка in-game is a town called Mogilevka. There is an in-game compass, which isn't too uncommon and is a great tool. 3. If your screen is grey, you're suffering from a condition, probably blood loss and you're probably going to die sooner or later. There may be "NO KOS" or "PVE" or "Friendly" Servers but they aren't enforceable. The official server hosting rules for DayZ state you cannot kick/ban players for killing you, killing your friend, taking your stuff, making you eat rotten kiwis, etc, etc, etc. Additionally, you should observe these rules when playing DayZ: 1. Don't get too attached to your gear. (You're just holding it for someone else) 2. Deal with it.

As a word of caution, you're probably more likely to get killed on a "friendly" server than another.

OMG, right?! How lame people would be speaking Russian in a game that was developed in the Czech Republic, where they still have a decent population of Russian speakers. Gosh, why would anyone want to interact with people from different cultures who speak different languages on the internet?
