He didn't fall down and didn't get a SINGLE scratch. Pretty much everyone else died, was in the process of dying or nearly dead. Players that were further away from the explosion than he was died. Players next to him died. And that's just one example out of countless many. And still no example for why his temp icon blinks whenever he's in combat or why he was flat out caught post-editing his temp icon with an overlay of a non-blinking icon in another video. If he wasn't hacking (scripting) then why we would he have to do that? So odd. It's not hard to constantly kill everyone else (I mean...have like totally amazing FPS skills...like...Call of Duty skills) when you never lose a single health point. He's also put DMCA takedown notices on other youtubers who have pointed out these glaring tells to try and hide the fact...oh...uh...I mean...protect his copyright. In case you don't know he's been banned from too many DayZ mod servers to count. Is it because everyone is just a hater? In case you're not familiar with the DayZ mod and the humanity system, it is not even remotely possible to get a hero skin after a complete server reset/fresh spawn in just 15 minutes much less the fully kitted AS50. And that's just one of numerous server admins who have caught Frankie hacking. Must all be one big conspiracy to make Frankie look bad right? A conspiracy with a giant mountain of evidence, most of it supplied by Frankie himself. Mmmmmhrmmmm.

Rocket said the game development is going to be for a little over a year until the official release is ready. I don't expect that timetable to change much regardless of how many million gajillion bejillion dollars they make.

If your goal was suppressive fire, you achieved it. Otherwise, you should slow down and take better aimed shots. You had those guys dead to rights multiple times with plenty of time to take a well aimed shot.

Permadeath was a feature of the DayZ mod, which has been pretty much responsible for a massive surge of sales of Arma 2 and Operation Arrowhead (you have to buy both to play the DayZ mod) and continuing sales. It certainly hasn't hurt Arma2/OA sales. It's not going to hurt DayZ SA sales.

I seriously doubt it. Many players have been reporting lag, servers down, disconnects, etc. today.

I reported a gameservers.com server to Gameservers.com support today. This is what they had to say: "DayZ server admins that are kicking are violating the terms of service. This is beyond our control. Thanks Paul Adamczyk www.gameservers.com" Apparently, Gameservers is unable to moderate their own servers. So...if the DayZ mod teams says report it to the server host and then the server host says they can't do anything and basically foist it back on the DayZ moderators...um...so...wat?

Ever heard of Roguelikes, i.e. dungeon crawler games with an emphasis on randomization and permadeath? You should play Nethack. I've been playing that game for over a decade and still haven't beaten it (I still haven't read the spoilers because...that would be cheating). The last time I played I got to the 7th floor, tried to feed a horse an apple and got kicked in the head and died. Permadeath is part of why people like DayZ. With the release of the standalone there's been a lot of hype about DayZ. It's well deserved but a lot of players are coming to this game because they've heard about it but they have basically no idea what it's about. DayZ is about permadeath and being difficult.

Many choose to take the coward's way out instead of facing the apocalypse like a man.

There hasn't been an official announcement yet because...it's not official. Rocket has only expressed interest in porting DayZ to PS4...maybe to Xbox if Microsoft pulls their head out of their ass and stops charging developers $10,000 upfront for the privilege of making Microsoft money. He said he might look into working on a PS4 devkit after the Alpha release but so far it looks like they're dedicating all their development time to PC. And Hall said not to expect the official release for over a year. So...maybe (just spit-balling here) you might see DayZ on PS4 a year later after that.

Yesterday, I got killed by a teleport hacker. Today, I fell to my death through a solid wall. Shit happens. You said, "don't bitch about it being alpha, they release alpha to get people to report bugs, and this is a game breaking bug that needs to be fixed." You're right. The alpha is for reporting bugs. Not for immediately fixing anything that ruins your gameplay experience. So take your own advice. "Don't bitch about it" and report the bugs. If you clipped through a wall, try providing a location and submitting that in a feedback report.

Have you tried speedtest.net? If you say you can run this game (DayZ) fine, then are you sure you don't have some downloads running in the background? Also, you still haven't clarified if you're talking about DayZ SA or the DayZ Mod.

I got killed by a punkass teleporter yesterday too. I'm not too worried though. VAC bans have a tendency of catching up with people.

Welcome to DayZ! Making friends can be hard...especially in Elektro/Cherno. As much as people complain about KOSers and bandits I've actually met more people who are amicable...or at least ambivalent. Don't feel like you always have to be nice to everyone but don't always expect everyone to be nice to you...do expect to die and don't get too attached. Most importantly, have fun! Don't worry about dying too much, just starting out. If you're looking for a group or clan, there are also clan/group recruitment threads on the forum. Golly gosh. Thanks for explaining the difference between "scripts" and "hacks" to me, internet smart guy. There are mountains of evidence against frankieonpc, not to mention a previously VAC-banned steam account in his name. If you know anything about FrankieonPC you'll know his temperature icon in DayZ mod has a funny way of blinking real funny like, only when he's in combat...which is a dead give-away of using a God Hack. Not only that but he's also been flat out caught post-editing a non-blinking temperature icon into some of his videos after being caught numerous times with the blinking temp/god hack indicator. Why would he have to post edit a non-blinking temp icon into his video...if he wasn't hacking? Another fun one is the video where he's standing in the middle of a church when it gets blown up, temp icon blinking as usual and suddenly it explodes...and everyone around him immediately dies, players next to him and even players farther away from the blast than him...yet oddly...he doesn't lose a single point of blood. Funny right? Those are just a couple examples. There's literally too many to list here. There's a reason he's not allowed on numerous DayZ mod servers. It's not because of "haters."
