I guess you forgot that it's an Alpha. What spawnrates are you referring to? By my knowledge there is no loot re-spawn yet. So yeah... This game isn't all about weapons, it's about surviving and you can do that just fine without a non-melee weapon. I've seen plenty people that had an m4/mosin and still lost to someone that only use his fists. If you find it hard to get/weapons then change your strategy. Run to someone for example and hit him twice on the head and he goes K.O. (Of course you will need to do some planning first, like look for the best spot to do so etc) The game as it is, really isn't THAT hard and I don't hope that they make it easier. It's not supposed to be easy. If something like this would happen in real life it wouldn't be easy either. " I want to jump in. Spawn. Go to a fire station and find a m4 or just a handgun with ammo. And then i'm good to go. Not waste 1-2 hours running from waay up from electro to balota to find nothing than cans of food and rotten oranges.." I'm so glad that it isn't easy as that. Think bout it as it would be in real life: Why would fire stations or hospitals have weapons? Running 1-2 hours from Electro to Bolota? Exaggerate more please... You can run from the coast to NW airfield in about 30-45min so please... Maybe a suggestion would be to look at how other people play: For example this guy: www.twitch.tv/lirik Stream starts around 5pm GMT. I'm also new to DayZ, but I really learned a lot by watching people like him play. -
Yeah so did I! Just wanted to share it tho for the people that missed it.

Ugh, I "hate" people stealing other peoples work. Here is the original video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcbG1bUCG9s -
Ok I've got a problem here: Just downloaded the game and after a while my PC just keeps crashing. Here are my specs: CPU: AMD FX 8350 GPU: AMD HD 6970 Ram: (A brand) (Don't remember the name but it's good) 8gb I'm not a total pc noob so after the first time that my pc crashed I went to event viewer to check what caused the problem. This is what I saw at first: The AODDriver4.2.0 service failed to start due to the following error: The system cannot find the path specified.I couldn't find anything specific so I decided to update my drivers. My current drivers are now: So I hoped that the problem would be solved, but it didn't. The error went away, but my PC kept crashing and got another error back instead.... + System - Provider [ Name] EventLog - EventID 6008 [ Qualifiers] 32768 Level 2 Task 0 Keywords 0x80000000000000 - TimeCreated [ SystemTime] 2013-12-19T03:49:58.000000000Z EventRecordID 17883 Channel System Computer 3895hubj4g30 Security- EventData 4:49:12 19-12-2013 363 DD070C0004001300040031000C001501DD070C0004001300030031000C001501600900003C000000010000006009000000000000B00400000100000000000000Binary data: In Words 0000: 000C07DD 00130004 00310004 0115000C 0008: 000C07DD 00130004 00310003 0115000C 0010: 00000960 0000003C 00000001 00000960 0018: 00000000 000004B0 00000001 00000000 In Bytes 0000: DD 07 0C 00 04 00 13 00 Ý....... 0008: 04 00 31 00 0C 00 15 01 ..1..... 0010: DD 07 0C 00 04 00 13 00 Ý....... 0018: 03 00 31 00 0C 00 15 01 ..1..... 0020: 60 09 00 00 3C 00 00 00 `...<... 0028: 01 00 00 00 60 09 00 00 ....`... 0030: 00 00 00 00 B0 04 00 00 ....°... 0038: 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ........ So it really seem to be random. I also messed a bit with the video settings, like putting some things on low/normal. (AA off) To see if that might improve things, but it didn't seem to do much. Hope someone can help me out!
