Well my server has been daylight for the entire day so far - still midday (it has crashed a couple of times though), it's 22:47 locally.

Not currently on Gameserver servers, you can almost do it, but it would eventually turn dark very early in the morning if you time things right.

Problem solved, for the most part, at least on Gameserver servers: So after a restart (I set mine at ~17:00 GMT) the server will restart at daytime. I finish at university at 17:00 most days, so I'd like to be able to play on my server in the daytime with my friends. I imagine it will still do the day/night cycle, but a few hours delayed, which is nice.

I'd absolutely love this. Even if the light just feathered out more, it would help quite a lot.

Mine fluctuates quite a lot: between 60 (vsync on) in the open and 30/20s in cities, though I've been getting a lot of massive lag spikes/freezes. I think it's something to do with my hard drive, as it would go randomly to 100% usage whenever there was a lag spike - only happens on DayZ. Though this seems to have stopped or happen less frequently recently as opposed to yesterday/earlier today. I'm playing on Medium/High/Very high 8GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz Intel i5 3570k @3.8GHz GTX 670 2GB @1920x1080

Well, post second patch, I had a rabbit circling me and making growling zombie noises, it was so damn bizarre, not sure if it was a hacker or just a sound bug (I know it was the rabbit because as it moved to the right or left of me, the zombie noises followed it, either that or it was just a massive coincidence) - who knows!.

As far as I am aware from my server's control panel - it is the local machine time. But the server owner has the ability to change this to either 'morning' or 'night' on server start ('default' time) or they can keep it local.

I can confirm that GameServers servers are set to 'local machine time' after restarts/crashes. Though saying that - I've set mine to set to daytime after restarts or crashes, but then progresses through the day gradually as time goes on (as far as I know, I'll be able to confirm/not confirm this tomorrow morning). It's literally just a drop-down menu that the control panel allows you to alter.
