hi, With PhysX included in ArmA3, I am wondering if dismemberment will be part of the standalone? Would you like to see it or not? Why? I know it wont be included in first release but maybe in a later patch. IMO, dismemberment will add a lot to the horror experience. cya. Nikiller.

hi, Very good new. I hope the best for Rocket and his team. If standalone uses ArmA3 engine, I can't wait to see the new PhysX features. It should solve a lot of AI pathfinding and collision issues (no more crazy zig zaging and no more broken legs when you open a door :thumbsup: :beans: ). Now my question is Dismemberment or not dismemberment? I just hope they will add it because now it should be possible to mod dismemberment in ArmA3. cya. Nikiller.

hi, You are wrong it was possible to dupe in earlier version of the mod. I am playing the ArmA serie since 2001 and this duplication bug is well known since ArmA CWA, it has not been fixed in ArmA CO and is still not fixed with ArmA2. It is a 10 years old bug. It is named the ammo bug and it was quite anoying in multiplayer since it slowed down the server due to ammo duplication. cya. Nikiller. -

hi, Of course a big part of the AS50, NVG, rangefinder, guillie suit and L85 are duped. Just go north of the map and you will find at least 5-6 tent cities full of duped items. Here's what really happens: Dupers die, respawn, run back to their camp, grab a new hight end gear, die again and so on... Moreover people who kill dupers loot their body and become a passive part of the problem. This bug is 10+ years old, it exists since ArmA Cold War Assault then don't hold your breath it wont be fixed tomorow. I say wipe out all tents from time to time. It doesn't solve everything but at least it limits the problem. It penalises legit players but you can't test if you have false data. cya. Nikiller. -

hi, If you want to change FOV in ArmA2: - Browse to C:\Documents and Settings\YourName\My documents\ArmA 2 - Open YourName.ARMA2OAPROFILE file - Make a backup - Scroll down to fovTop and fovLeft - Multiply both values the same (i.e: values 0.75 and 1.20 become 0.975 and 1.56 when multiplied by 1.3). - Save the file - Test and repeat the operation until you feel comfortable with the new FOV - Enjoy. I use the following settings with my 22'' monitor: fovTop=0.98; fovLeft=1.57; I think I will make a topic about this since I guess a lot of people are wondering how to set FOV in ArmA2. hi, If you compare the PS vita to a PC, spec would look like this: quad core 2.0Ghz GPU 200 Mhz 512Mio RAM It's allready hard to run ArmA2 on a good PC so you can easily see what would happen on spec like that. Moreover, even if ArmA2 was ported on console it would be impossible to succeed sony's bug tests. cya. Nikiller.

hi, After my topic about stamina realism I suggest to add weapon jamming, wear and overheating. - Clean/wear Maybe a cleaning weapon kit item (like tool box) + weapon state HUD to indicate when you must clean your weapon. it works pretty much like food and water, HUD becomes flashing red when it's time to clean your weapon. If you don't do it, you increase the probability of weapon jamming/overheat/break. If you fire a lot you must clean your weapon more often. If you don't clean your weapon some time after the HUD is flashing then your weapon is broken and you must find another one. - Jam/overhit The probability of weapon jamming increase if it rains, if you go in water, if you don't clean your weapon for a long time, if you fire a lot. I'm not expert in weapon but I guess some weapons jam more than others then why not an additional jamming probability according to the type of weapon you carry. Your weapon will overheat if you fire in rock n'roll mod for too long. I may forgot reason why weapon can be broken, jammed or overheat feel free to ad your suggestions. cya. Nikiller.

hi, I made a similar suggestion but about weapons a while ago http://dayzmod.com/f...-and-overheat/. Maybe a bit more elaborated system like you need to take care of you knife by sharpening it or it is useless or clean your water bottle or you can become sick when you drink with it. Limited items life would be nice since the game is getting boring after a while. cya. Nikiller.
