    Burning Tires/trash for smokescreens

I like this idea, there's alot of things we could do with a fire. One thing that came in my mind yesterday that if you were able to drop/place bullets in a camp fire and after a while they start to explode (duh) and if possible shoot bullets with low velocity in random directions around the fire. This would make a great distraction if you spot a group of people and want to bait them. Or severly would or perhaps murder innocent people around a camp fire. Note: If there's actually people around the fire it wouldn't be fair that they wouldn't see someone dropping bullets into the flames. So it should prompt a message, clear animation or make a sound. Can't wait! :)

Fix (not remove) Third Person Perspective

My point of view on the matter is, play however you wish to play. What I hope will be the final decision on the matter that there is a box server hosts/admins can cross/uncross to enable/disable 3rd person view. I prefer playing on 3rd person view because it resembles more realistic version (there are exceptions). In real life, your character isn't as clunky as your character in the mod, arma 3 or in the standalone. In real life you can peek over walls, subtle little adjustments to your body so you don't show yourself. In 1st person, you have to expose a minimum of 30% of your body to see what's beyond a wall or what ever obstacle. That currently is the only reason I dislike 1st person view, it is not at all realistic. In real life, you can turn your head around and detect things close or far away much faster than in the game. To be frank, I lose immersion of the game when I'm stuck with first person because that's not how human head or body works. Any arguments supporting 1st or 3rd person view should be irrelevant, let people choose which they want to play (server side option of course because 3rd person is a huge advantage). That way I think everybody's happy.

    Use of Xbox/ps3 control pad?

Currently no, but why would you want to? I'm sorry, you want to get steamrolled ingame by people using keyboard+mouse?

So tired of the teleport/frozen bug

I've run with things in my hand and fists lowered and still got the bug, stop spreading this rumour that it works since you haven't tried if it actually helps. I'm waiting for the next patch because currently any server I join, any character I have I get this bug constantly. This is the first bug I've encountered that rendered me not being able to play, sadface.

    Rolling Update Rev. 0.30.113925

I thought the 20-30 second delay for logging out to fix the combat logging was going to be in this patch. Any news about that front? It's really disgusting how these noobs disconnect the second they're not the first guy pulling the trigger. Huge thanks for the bodies disappearing! That was a pain.

Dont you guys think (payday masks)

Reason my post was not adding anything is because much like the threads creator gave us no argument to hate the masks. Now that he has explained why such hate resides in the masks or helmets existance, I can finally have something to argue against. Helmets bring safety to the character, I don't feel they're out of place since they cover your head from zombie bites. Payday masks I feel should be a rarity (more of an easter egg kind of thing), since they don't bring perks (atleast that I know of) and are quite useless like someone already pointed out, they shine your face like a star through the bush. I like the fact that there's an item or a reference to other games, it tells me about the fact that dayz developers don't have stick up their ass. I think the masks are funny and can be quite intimidating.

The only stupid thing about the masks or helmets is this thread.

    m4 is really inaccurate.

You obviously have no idea what "effective range" means, it's not about the fact that CAN you hit the shot, it means it is EFFECTIVE at that range, and a target <500m is inside the lethal zone. Oh the irony, Einstein...

    Unconcious

It's cute that so many complain about the uncounciousness "bug". Since the first patch I have not once gotten it, not once... You whine about eating alot and drinking alot, it's obvious you're not doing it right. When you spawn your first problem is to drink alot, not go to balota and find m4 with ammo and kill fresh spawns, you find a well and drink a shit ton of water, keep clicking on it. The indicator "thirsty" doesn't tell you anything but you need to drink ALOT at that point. Your stomach needs to be full/stuffed most of the time, I have no problem finding food or water since the wells are so common, you only need two canteens and two cans of food at all times for emergencies. Oh and stop looting houses that have open doors, chances are that someone much like you went through it looking for food and water so there's nothing left for you. If your food/thirst indicators are red or close to it and you're in a town that has been looted, change the server, loot doesn't respawn (yet). So you need to change the server or you will die. You can complain all day long about the fact that it isn't realistic that you need to eat so much, it shouldn't matter, because you can still survive (easilly at that). If thirst bests you, you're still a newbie and you deserve to die :).

    The maps not finished.

Yes, rape the game with overpowered thermal gear. Thank god they're never going to add such things. There was a reason they removed them (it) from the mod.

    m4 is really inaccurate.

It is not 200m, effective range on M4A1 is 500m for a point target. I believe the dispersion in dayz SA is 0.1, whereas it was 0.00175 in Arma. I believe (or atleast like to believe) this 0.1 is the base for which your character starts, more he shoots, the more accurate he gets. But I don't think they've implemented any learning system yet (which basically is a weight function controlled by how many shots your character has fired). So everybody is a shitty shooter without any learning capability. This is merely speculation, but if my assumption is right, they should set dispersion a tad lower until they implement the learning curve. Because first shot is crucial in Dayz, I'd hate to see it go 3m off-target on a 50m distance.
