Yep I saw the exact same thing last night. Performance got worse in the cities after the newest patch but were good out in the coutryside

Separate hive just like hardcore. So no character wipe.

They've added green M4 handguards and buttstocks and not just the magpul ones. You could already spray paint them green in the previous patch but now they spawn green I assume.

Actually no it won't. Two separate hives so two separate characters. You can switch back and forth without worry of loosing your characters. As for the RIS handgaurd i'm not sure if you can use it if its ruined, never tried.

I've personally seen them in hangars and air traffic control towers.

Your character doesn't actually spawn in game while you wait. The only time your character stays in game is when you log off from a server and that's only 30 seconds. This is two separate fixes one for server hoppers and one for combat loggers.

Awesome story man. . . . this is exactly why I play DayZ.

This means that the hosted servers that are having connection issues to the central hive aren't loading or saving character info which is why you start as a new spawn and when you log off a server that is having issues nothing saves. You just need to try different servers until you find one that is working properly and you're previous character will load just fine and of course will also save when you log out.

some servers are having issues connecting to the central hive which is why you are respawning with a new character. You'll just have to hop around to different servers until you find one that isn't having the issue and it will load your previous character just fine. Hopefully all the hosted servers will get fixed soon
