I have had Steam tell me that before and never had to enter in a code, that I can recall. Use DayZ Commander to make sure that you do indeed have the proper versions and that they are up to date. In teh upper right of DayZ Commander is the install/update tab in yellow (mine's in yellow, anyway). Click on the install/update tab and make sure that Your DayZ and Arma 2 are up to date along with any other mods of the mod that you want to play (there are very few vanilla Day Servers)

The amount of power draw a particular program demands can only be determined using an external piece of hardware called a Load Meter/Monitor. And even then this will only give you a relative number* and will not take into account other background programs you have running nor how efficient your power supply is. *Edit: Relative to the power draw of a particular program. It will tell you how much power your computer as a whole is taking from your socket.

I don't believe that Windows XP is supported. Sorry, mate. you'll have to at least wait till you get Windows 7 Edit: There may be workarounds to get it to work on XP... I have not looked into it myself, but I'd imagine where there's a will there's a way. But windows XP is not supported and it will not "just work" with that OS

If you play ANY map in Arma 3 in editor, or single player... just NOT online, you will have butter smooth performance. Put Chernaraus + in Arma 3 on multiplayer and see what happens

Yeah, I'd definitely go with a CPU/MOBO upgrade. Looks like you pretty much need a whole new computer, mate! I'd go AMD for the CPU/MoBo if you're looking for cheap but functional. And, I'd go the I5 4670K route if you got the money to spare. And, if you're in the states, I'd go Nvidia all the way for a GPU because, thanks to cryptocurrency, high end AMD cards just aren't at a good price/performance ratio for gaming.

Well, first off, I would recommend getting to learn how to build your own PC. If you plan on using computers in your life! It will save you a lot of time and money when you can maneuver around a computer. That being said. I would recommend Digital Storm as a decent custom PC builder. I have never used them myself but have not heard many horror stories about them as with other custom PC sites.

I would, honestly, go with Nvidia right now. AMD cards are not shining through with their price/performance anymore thanks to cryptocurrencies...
