I usually go for the SKS until I can collect all the MP parts for the M4 then I'll switch to that. I feel like the SKS is good for starting out because it does enough damage that I'm confident enough to go to the NWAF or NEAF with it, but when I find an M4 and both MP parts then I go for that because of the volume of fire you can put out with it. Victory through superior firepower ya know? Although once the AKM gets put into the game that will be my weapon of choice instead of the M4, really can't wait for it. As for a sidearm, I honestly love the FNX because its the pistol I can find the most mags for. Although I did recently come across an engraved M1911 and if I could find a mag for it I would switch to that.

I agree with gibonez. Military-grade rangefinders should either be extremely rare or not in the game at all but, civilian grade ones that hunters use would be nice although they wouldn't be super accurate. They should still be rare though, like maybe a bit more rare than the LRS or can opener and if the military-grade ones are in the game than they should be Stab-proof Vest type rare. As for ghillie suits, I personally don't think you should be able to find them I think you should only be able to make them. Burlap sacks, rags, sewing kit and spray paint. You would need black, green and brown colors. What do you guys think? EDIT: Like others have said, a way to get around rangefinders would be having scopes with actual Mildots or a scale like the SVD scope. Some spotting scopes have those scales on them but you would either have to have a spotter with you to use it or get used to switching between the two.

The only headset companies I've had any experience with is Tritton and Logitech. My Trittons broke withing 6 months and I replaced them with Logitech G430's which are amazing and I love them. I was like you and was looking at the G35's and didn't have the money for them so I went with the G430's, which are also extremely good, but if I had had the money at the time I would have went with the G35's. So I say get the G35's, Logitech doesn't disappoint.

I have the same graphics card and an AMD processor with around the same ghz, I can run this game on medium settings with a few setting turned on high very well. You'll always get a frame drop in big cities that's just how the game is but overall that card and processor is enough to play the game decently.

I dont think zombies should have been updated so soon. Making them more deadly isn't the smartest choice since they can still run through walls.

Fuck yeah you're right I am thinking of the stamped AKM. And I didn't mean that they had stores of 5.45x39mm before the AK-74 I meant that they produced way more of it than 7,62.39mm once they pretty much decided that the AK-74 was going to be the new service rifle. Like I said in my post and like you said in yours, both of the rifles have their pros and cons and I don't think one should be better than the other in every way. It should be a question of how you're going to use the rifle. Do you want something to run around and kill people in cities/buildings? AKM. Or, do you want an accurate platform that you can use to fight in the open fields of Chernarus? AK-74m.

The Soviets adopted the AK-74 because it was cheaper to make and they had an abundance of the 5.45x39mm round that they made to try and compete with the NATO 5.56x45mm during the Cold War. The only reason the AK74m is still in service with the Russians is because they couldn't afford to mass produce the AN-94. But in reference to that guys Reddit post the 7.62x39mm does do more damage then the 5.45x39mm. Despite the 5.45x39mm having a higher muzzle velocity than the 7.62x39mm, the 5.45x39mm has low energy but a slower moving 7.62x39 has a LOT more energy behind it. (About 1400J for the 5.45x39mm and about 2100J for the 7.62x39) and the more energy you have the greater stopping power you have although that does NOT mean that the 7.62x39mm is more accurate. So if the devs want to do it right than the AK-74m should be more accurate than the AKM but do less damage and vice versa for the AKM. It's a lot like the .338 Lapua vs the .50 BMG. The .338 Lapua is more accurate than the .50 BMG (which is why it's used by most western snipers today for AP) but the .50 BMG has more energy behind it which is why it's mainly used for shooting out engine blocks instead of hitting personnel (although it has been done). /endrant

Exactly what the title says. And it's not just me, all of my friends are having this problem too. Horrid frame rates, textures not loading properly and such. I have a Radeon HD 7770 and am running the game on the lowest possible settings and my friend has a GTX 780 and is running the game on lowest settings and we're both having the same problems. Is it just because of the new patch or is there something we can do to fix this?

Isn't the kinda-sorta story of DayZ that all the players are immune to the infection? And that the zombies are more of a 28 Days Later kind of zombie where it's a rage virus or something?

Rugger 10/.22 Shotguns (pump and double barrel) AK variants SKS Compound bow/Crossbow To be perfectly honest I think western weapons like the M4 should be EXTREMELY rare to find seeing as it's some eastern ex-soviet state. And I personally think that you should be able to find empty mags because full mags are plenty and should be extremely rare. Like the little cardboard boxes with 5.56 and 7.62 I think the spawning of those are perfect right now but there are too many magazines full of ammo just laying around.
