Does your system run like this is any other game? Also, the part about DayZ not utilizing two video cards is most likely your problem. Drop some money on a new video card because you are out of date(even with 2 cards).

There is a tremendous amount of desync and lag in the game right now, but not so much as to the problems you are facing. What is happening to you sounds a lot like FPS lag. Could you please list the build you are currently running?

Definitely some sort of rendering issue. I would try updating my video drivers. What video card do you have?

It was obviously not an accurate measurement of time. Regardless, even an hour to get to a high loot spawn is over the top since some people have lives outside of Dayz. These lives most likely do not include you, with over a thousand posts on DayZ forums. I completely understand that loot should be difficult to get but even after running for an hour you are not guaranteed a single item. With vehicles in the game it wouldn't take more than 15 minutes to get to a specific area of the map(even a bicycle).

When the game releases vehicles so friends and clans can get to each other then de-centralize spawning. Keep it on a berezihno spawn until that point because there is no fun in running 6 hours to get a decent gear set.

Why does punching do the same damage as shooting a gun? Someone explain this? This is the 3rd time i've been knocked unconcious by a fresh spawn and they take all my gear? I'll shoot them 5 or 6 times and then boom. they knock me out? Maybe it was karma for me hassling some fresh spawns but still.... This is very silly and needs to be fixed.

I'm not killing fresh spawns. I just give them a little shit and let them be on their way. After letting him go he punched me and i ran to make some distance, I shot the guy in center mass at least 5 or 6 times. The bullet registration is what is actually wrong here. Then he punched me a few times(which is super fast for some reason? like half a second)and i was knocked out cold. Because of this I am now issuing a KOS mentality, I am a product of my environment. EDIT: I was wearing a ballistic helmet.....go figure?

This is an extremely important topic that needs to be addressed by the community and then the developers. The developers have not touched anything on this subject and I am personally upset. I have been playing Dayz SA since the first release day and loved the game at first zed kill. The first 2 months me and my buddy were rocking! We were fully geared and had well over 200 player kills each(Half banditry yes). We played all day when we got out of work and completely put our promising CSGO career aside. Then came the updates... After a few updates i noticed that many of the bugs were fixed but each time a bug was fixed two more popped up. I never had a single problem with bullet registration until a few patches ago. All of the sudden my bullets were hitting nothing but grass and the silhouette of the thought player position. This was no ordinary bad registration, this was shooting still targets with a mosin/m4 at 20 yards and completely missing the player. I tested each gun for overall accuracy and i can pop a stop sign at 700 yards with my mosin so i know that my personal skills aren't the issue here(this is a really easy game). I know I am not the only one who is suffering from these problems, I've asked plenty of people and found videos like this one. This explanation does not include any kind of moving shot, as you move the gun is terribly inaccurate and desync can mess with registration on moving players. I may be banditing or playing fair but I will see a player standing still or crouched in a static position. I take the time to adjust my distance and make sure I am not breathing heavily. I hold my breath and line up my shot the absolute best I can(i do not ever take pop shots to reveal my position unless the shot is certain". I fire the weapon and nothing, i see no hit on the player nor dust off the side of the building, grass, etc. The player will stand up after hearing the shot with no blood and run off. I may be able to make several shots, all to the same end. After the "WTF" moment I calm down and see if my aim was off. I always take a shot after i attempt my kill to see my accuracy. BAM, dead center shot, like picture perfect pristine shot. I believe this has to do with some sort of lag or desync. The second issue is the same cenario but i actually will hit my target, then hit them 3 more times. Then i will shoot them 2 more times.....blood pouring from every angle of their body. They run up and shoot me once. Then i die instantly. These are all mosin shots mind you. I have only killed 3 people in the last month which is crazy for me. The first couple months i played as a noob i killed roughly 200 people. I'm also no FPS noob, I hit Eagle Master in CSGO with relative ease. There are serious reg issues here and i am a sad camper. I would love to hear from someone else with similar issues, i really would like this fixed or get an explanation why this happens to me every time i attempt a kill. I will go try to get some footage of my problem and i will upload it to youtube when i do and reply to this post.

OP had a fairly good guess on what we might see this year. I played the game for an hour since the update and do not plan on playing again soon. This game has by far the slowest development I've ever seen, its quite terrible. I would love to play this game but its not worth it right now and possibly not ever. Spending actual money on this game was a horrible mistake. I didn't realize until now that bohemia and Hall have already made as much money as they can and don't really care about progressing further. It took months to give us this absolutely worthless update and i have yet to see a single improvement in my gameplay. When I first bought the game it wasn't too bad. My shots registered and I only had to deal with a few bugs. Now it is the opposite. You forum fanboys will defend this game with your life to try to get credit from the forum administrators like it means anything. Keep following suit. This game was doomed from the start. 1. Worst game engine 2. Minimal development team 3. They adopted the "alpha scam". The best part is when people complain about bugs in the game they delete their forum posts so they can't influence the negative but progressive reinforcement game developers need to expedite their developing process. Without players giving criticism there will be no progression.

This is my Dayz suicide note as of now. It was fun while it lasted but I am tired of shooting people 7 times with blood pouring out of their chest and they shoot me once and i die. This game is in serious need of a revamp and I choose to not further my testing. I may pick the game back up upon full release but I expect to put it back down immediately. I sincerely hope these hit registry issues will be addressed before my return so I may enjoy the game as I did before the updates that ruined my gameplay. I didn't like getting hit 3 times in the time it takes to get hit 1 time by a zed. Their attack rate is way too quick. I like that zeds are getting buffed though. Maybe if they were much harder people would stop banditing so much

The problem is that people hack because there are no repercussions. I feel bohemia might be in over their heads with the security system. I have been killed at least 20-30 times by hackers. I know this because i get shot right through walls. I sneak up behind a player and shoot him 8 times with my m4 and he stands back up and one punches me for the kill. I see teams of players running around with the exact same set of gear on. I check dead bodies with 18998 round clips. Anyone who thinks this game isn't full of hackers is the noob. Real players like us like to raid cities in high population servers and have fair combat but can't because snipers have spawned gear and unlimited ammo in the hillsides. Haven't you ever been pinned down in a house and hear shot after shot ring out from a mosin for hours? Did you ever think how much ammo they are using or how they could have a mountain backpack full of 7.62 stacks? Hacks. These lame players hack freely knowing they wont get banned because there is no formal way of reporting or even seeing the persons name who shot you. Implement a report system like CS:GO and you will see the number of hackers drop. Also let us know the names of our killers?

Every time i try to join a server it says "Confirmation of Changes" and "Connecting Failed". What is going on here? I can barely play the game because it LITERALLY takes me 35 minutes to finally join a server. I've tried running as administrator and changing a few router settings. I've tried validating game cache and changing files in the game. Re-installing didn't work. NOTHING IS WORKING!??!?!?!?!?!?. Please someone help me fix this problem!

Full servers give the message "Maxiumum players has been reached". This connecting failed problem is a major issue that still has yet to be addressed

Use V for "vault" when sprinting at a wall or two. Do this immediately on log in. also you can try going prone and rolling out. These things work easiest when you do them instantly on log in.

How do players survive my mosin shots all the time but I die on first shot every time? I have vest and camo gear on and they have equal or lesser gear. Yes I also have full health. Is there bugged gear that allows for more damage reduction? Or just better gear?

I feel I need to list a few problems i have with Dayz. My 4 friends and I who have played many hours of Dayz have temporarily quit the game because of these problems and I want the community to hear about our struggles. I completely understand that the game is in "Alpha" and I am simply listing problems because I want the developers to hear consumer thoughts. The biggest problem we have faced in Dayz is the enormous amount of lag and slow glitchy actions. We feel the entire game engine is trash and with profits the game should have had a new engine made. It takes roughly 45 seconds just to load into the game and 20-40 seconds more to load into servers. Then when you are in the game you experience terrible bullet and weapon registration, floating dead bodies surfing across the map, zombies flying through walls, and inventory issues. This is a major problem that should be addressed quickly before moving on to cramming more lagged features into the unstable game. Nobody wants to pull their gun out and put it away 7 times and then be forced to stand still to take out your axe to kill the 9 zombies that are swarming you. Zombies are very random and spawn on top of you every 3 seconds. This has become ridiculous and everyone is getting tired of hacking 40 zombies to death and then watching them respawn in front of their eyes. Hackers have completely taken over the game, everyone says some magical "Ban Wave" took care of them but i've dealt with them constantly since the game launched. Everyone seems to know where I am in the middle of the woods making no noise and shooting me through walls. Elektro is pointless because you just get sniped by the hackers on sniper hill. Are there steam account bans for this game? The last thing i have a problem with is the dreadful amount of unsurety you have when you try to shoot someone. You are constantly nervous because the person you just shot 7 times gets back up from death and shoots you in the face,

We shouldn't have to avoid bugs. Would you buy a lawn mower that has no wheels and say "Bro, i can just hold it like a weed whacker"?

I didn't know my post would draw this amount of attention haha. Well honestly switching game engine at this point might actually speed up the updates. With an improved engine they could make changes quicker and easier rather than working around a pre-existing framework for Arma. If Bohemia wont swap engines(which is highly unlikely at this point anyway) then they should focus on improving existing mechanics and giving players what they want secondly. A lot of the mechanics players want are being pushed to the end of the to-do list and pointless buggy features are being pushed into the unstable game engine. Over the last couple updates i have noticed the original problems of inventory/movement lag making a huge comeback and barely any new features have been implemented. Bohemia should be smart and cater to their fans before they lose too many to bad experiences. This is a major mistake most game development companies make and they lose sales over it. What makes you want to stand in front of Bohemia and fight their battles for them? Fanboyism? Why even argue the known facts with the "Its only Alpha" line? Maybe it is only alpha but that doesn't mean they are not diminishing their playerbase by their "Alpha" mindset. I have no problem with bohemia but it is our duty as consumers to push the game companies harder. Just as we accept the terms of agreement, they also accept the fact that an "alpha" mindset can destroy their customer satisfaction rather than build it.
