DayZ HardCore - What a Moron

What is kinda sad is that this thread had nearly 90 views, but the vid didn't work at first, so many people didn't see it.

DayZ HardCore - What a Moron

At the end of the d in Field, i didn't really think to change it, I don't think I had time really.

DayZ HardCore - What a Moron

That couldn't have been you, could it? If it was, that wasn't very nice. Edit* OOOOHHHH, now I get it, when wheatly turns evil and all that. Sorry for being dumb.

    Advanced Medical system

I really like this idea. A few suggestions to change it would be to keep the drugs and equipment under one group, and it would also need to change the layout a bit to make it look penciled in, like the character is inspecting themselves and taking note of injuries, with really simple things. "I have a deep gash on my chest, I need to take care of this NOW." "My right leg has a bullet wound and an arrow in it. It hurts like crazy, and looking at it more, it might be infected." That would add a bit more depth than Chest: deep wound, extreme pain. Leg:blah blah blah. . . This is still a brilliant idea, and you have my beans!

    Cold indicators

I don't know if this is already planned, but I would like to see status indicators for cold. Your character would have a temperture, like water, energy, and stomach. Since you always seem to see your breath, its obviosly cold, so that should affect your character over time. If you sit there in a t-shirt and normal pants, you should get messages like "I'm feeling cold", or "Its cold out". If you sit like that for a while, you could start to shiver, with messages like "I need to get warm". Running around, wearing warm clothes, or sitting next to a heat source should warm you up again. This could also work for overheating. Sprinting for half an hour should overheat you, increasing water consumption, and giving you indicators like "I'm feeling hot", "I need to cool off", or "I'm really starting to sweat" (making your shirt damp?) What do you guys think? If you have any more ideas, share them. *Edit Just got a new idea. Maybe if you sprint for a while and heat up, your character could sweat. Sweating would get your clothes damp, and lower the rate at which your temperture rise. Would also lower your water quicker. Just an idea.

    Cold indicators

I also noticed that the wiki already has a wiki page for temperature in the survival tab. The info in there are like what I suggested, but I have yet to see any of it in-game.

    Cold indicators

I'm not saying that sprinting for about ten minutes would give you character heat stroke, only if you've been springing for a very long time. Sprinting full spead from Berizino to NWAF should get your guy hot, tired, and thirsty.
  8. I am entering the military encampment at Balota. I run into 2 guys, exchange our "friendlies in Cherno". I gave them some food and drink, and we chat about the best spots near-by to find good loot. But we were standing right in the open. Oops. As we talk, bullets start pinging around us. One guy is hit in the arm as we duck into one of the tents. As I peek out the doorway to see where the sniper is, the guy behind me gets it full in the face. His friend checks him and says he's dead. He starts to say "we can make a run for it", but as more bullets start to ping around us, I tell him that its suicide. The second I finish, he gets hit in the chest twice. Bullets are still flying around, and I see no way out. I am ashamed to say I logged. But I lived. Anyone got a story just as exciting, if not more? Share it below!

By far, the most heart-pounding moment I've had in DayZ

First, and last time I will log. It ruins the game.

You're right, there is no way that it can be justified.

By far, the most heart-pounding moment I've had in DayZ

At least when I did log, I didn't go right back to another server. I exited the game. My heart was pounding so hard, I couldn't go back in. DayZ, the only game that gives healthy people heart attacks, anxiety, extreme paranoia, and worst of all, halitosis.

I'm sorry. I had so much good loot, I didn't want to loose it. Probably should have taken my virtual death like a man.

    Specialty Shops and buildings

I think there should be special building and shops that cater to certain types of loot: Pharmacies spawn medicine, but not as much as hospital, Hardware store spawns tools, clothing store for civilian clothes, gun stores, sporting goods stores, etc. I DO understand that this would be a lot of texturing and designing and coding though. Its only if Dean decides they have the time. What do you guys think?
