Lol. This is just funny. First you say people shot your group and that's why you decided to shoot on sight. Now it sounds more like actually running after people not just shooting at someone incase they come your way. Why do you even post this thread? Geez. -

You were at coast. They were probably freshspawns. No wonder they logged off, they didn't wanna get KoS'd when they have nothing.- 114 replies

While the idea is good, it wouldn't be so easy to create.

Player camps are random too. How exactly you would have to explore more and it would make exploration better? As Parlek stated, by exploring an actual player camp you get the excitement and thrill, since you never know when you might get shot or what kind of loot awaits you.

It's a game. It doesn't have to be 100% realistic. Whilst 3rd person might give unfair advantages, it's still nice to have it whilst roaming around. Constant first person would get boring as hell, really. Server owners should have the option of enabling/disabling 3rd person.

Right click zoom mechanic - why it's still there?

Hey there! So, animations for inventory actions. The hell that means, right? Well basically, for example, currently if you have your compass put in your jeans, and then you take it from hotbar and put it back, it'll look like you're putting on your back. I think the animation should depend on where the item is actually stored in your inventory. If it's in your jeans, it would look like you take/put it in your jeans, or jacket/shirt/hoodie whatever and so on. Another thing with backpacks. Whenever you open your inventory, your backpack should be closed. When you try to open it your character would actually take the backpack off his back, crouch, and then unzip it (makes sense, duh). It would obviously take a bit of time, but it would look hella cool. What you guys think?

Except if the grass is not rendered in. Easy to spot then.

It would definitely decrease KoS and encourage teamwork, yet it won't totally remove KoS. It's a good idea though, and I think devs are already planning this.

While the robbery system is nice it won't work.

You just got unlucky. Just because that happened doesn't the whole community is like this. Stop being so stubborn. If you think being stripped of all your gear is being equivalent to being a freshspawn then you're missing the point of the game - to survive. It's a survival game. -

Well that's just you. You can't judge all the players and what actions they may take. -
Great idea. Should definately be in the game :).
-
Why don't you just let actual players create their own camps? Duh.
-
It would encourage people to move North more, not just sit on coast all the time, duh.
-
Best suggestion ever in my opinion! Do this rocket.
-
May I ask where did you manage to find the Magnum? :D
-
I had the exact same idea once. It would make the game more fair imo. People communicating over teamspeak/Skype kinda ruin the purpose of voice-chat ingame.
-
Well, I've survived for four days straight now without dying. You just gotta be careful.
-
A train - hell yeah. Randomized events - no. i like trains.
-
Or, you could just use the screwdriver :P.

I don't like this idea. Who would keep their drivers license in apocalypse, really? The game environment and loot amount definitely indicates that DayZ isn't set in time when apocalypse just started, but awhile after that. Who would still have their drivers license by then?
-
This is already being made. Use search function next time :).
-
Yeah, remove it. DayZ doesn't need it imo.

Hey there! Recently this idea has came in my mind. You probably have noticed small doors on back of some houses that would most likely lead to basement. The idea is to make actual basements underneath some houses that you could enter. Beyond would be shelves or cabinets where you could store your stuff. You should also be able to somehow barricade the doors of basement. This would be a great way of creating player bases, also it could possibly fix switching servers, encouraging players to stick to one server. What's your opinion on this?
