I saw in one of the live streams that Dean held where he states they didnt want to go in the direction of using an auto run key. WTF! This game is 225 km squared and yet you still persist on not adding a freaking auto run key? So far the developers have been pretty involved in what the communities needs are, from deciding what guns we want to other things. Bohemia do yourself a favor and add an Auto Run feature. My W key is begging you and I'm braving carpal tunnel syndrome just playing this game. Because you the designers (or maybe just Dean) feel that it isn't appropriate doesn't mean that your player base (and paying customers) wouldn't like to have this feature. If you want the hardcore realism you could simply, ohh I dont know... Not bind an auto run key?! Anyone else feel that this simple feature should be added? I know im not alone here so lets speak up.

new server = new character simple solution. sure you want to server hop but every character you create will be different. so hop hop hop away! people will complain about not being able to log on to this and that blah blah blah.

I like the ideas behind this and its accuracy but lets be honest, its way to advanced for a game like this. I like having a medical system but I also like keeping it simple. All of that ACLS protocol and crap can stay at work! When I come home and load up DayZ the last thing I want to do is run critical care algorithms. I do think the medical system in DayZ needs some work, but I do want to keep it simple. Nice write up though.

I created a thread about adding an Auto Run key into the game. Apparently everyone would much rather use random items to pin down the key than have a simple auto run button. Idiocy at its finest

No, its not. What you mean to say is .308 (inches btw) is essentially the same is 7.62 mm. This first number is the diameter of the cartridge. The second number which you bring up is the length of the cartridge. There are lots of 7.62 diameter cartridges but the length varies and as such powder loaded into said cartridge will be different. The mosin shoots 54 R ammo. The R stands for Rimmed as in the rim of the cartridge is rimmed. Only a few guns shoot this round, the mosin and dragunov. A previous post list firearms that chamber 7.62x51 which is commonly referred to as a .308

What you refer to here is called a flash hider. A suppressor / silencer are the same thing. Purists don't actually like the word silencer since it doesn't completely silence said weapon yet it does quiet it down a bit. Currently in the game there is virtually no difference between using or not using the suppressor. There is a very noticeable difference when using them IRL though they are still loud it's not deafening. Here's a video to prove my point.

This idea is more towards when base building comes about. Given the fact of the game is to survive (and avoid jerks) there comes a question about what to do when you have all you really need. There is already a robust book collection in the game. My proposal is to play off of that. As a very rare spawn I would like to see an old time record player/phonograph. Just like finding the books, scavengers can have the chance of stumbling across records of various artists. The neat idea is that you would eventually be able to play them on your record player. When base building is fully implemented it would be nice to have some atmosphere for a camp of survivors. I think this would be a great atmosphere item but definitely put it off until the end!

That too, I was just thinking along the lines of something that could be powered by hand. Like a wind up phonograph for example. Of course I assume we would have generators available in the future so your idea works too!

K thats still great and all but you dont withdrawal from something until you reach some form of physical dependance. This takes more than 1 dose. Just for good measure i'll throw in some literature. Thats great but I've still yet to see someone who had a withdrawal from a 1 time dose. Even if you took a "whole lot". And I've taken care of a lot of overdose victims.

Wow this thread is full google MD's. Let me explain in reality what we use these items for since i use them on patients daily. Normal saline is an isotonic fluid that is used for 1. Fluid volume replacement from fluid loss 2. a means to infuse other medications such as IV drugs 3. it is the only fluid used in conjunction when hanging blood on a patient. There are many many other types of fluid, normal saline is the most common and will not cause fluid shifts between the intravasculature and intracellular areas. It can somewhat correct mild hypotension but anything else beyond fluid volume depletion other therapies are needed. For example I can give saline to a person that is post operative with 2L of lost blood. Chances are we are going to get a Hemoglobin and Hematocrit level to determine how many points we dropped. If the person drops a significant amount from baseline, we will infuse packed red blood cells, not whole blood. If component therapy is available it is preferred. The only place I know that dumps whole blood in readily is the military. The saline will help the situation but not fix it. Saline does not restore blood, blood restores blood. Red blood cells are made in the long bones of your body. I could go on for DAYZ about this subject and anyone wanting to know more can just ask. I tried to make it as lehmans terms as possible. I wasnt aware that my post was directed towards your statement. It was a blanket statement. I've never heard of anyone withdrawing from any opiate from a 1 time dose, even if they took too much. And its very unlikely you had morphine in your possession, probably percocet or vicodin.

Looks like the guy in this video got his attachment inspiration from the COD franchise. A laser, flashlight, and a 6x9 scope on a semi .22 LR? clearly there is a need here for more attachments! Plain ol' 10/22 with iron sights does just fine!

Opiates IRL need some time to develop dependance. You don't withdrawal unless you chronically take them and then magically stop. Taking them for a few days/weeks is perfectly safe with no let down. Source: Registered Nurse for over 6+ years in Acute care.

Then why are you on here posting if it is his problem?! Clearly you show some concern for the situation but have yet to divulge any details. You either know the whole story or you dont and if you dont know the whole story, why post it there?! You seem pretty defensive about a non threatening post. Sounds kinda shady to me.

There are legit versions such as http://www.razerzone.com/gamebooster There is no excuse for not researching the place where you were getting said fps booster. Easy enough if you wanted a legit version you could have easily came here and asked if anyone knew of such, im certain you would have had many replies. Granted his intentions might sound fortuitous on the surface it really doesn't sound that it was in good dealings. Maybe he'll learn from his mistakes.

Even if you dont turn off the clouds, use your flashlight. It does need to be tweaked a bit but it works. Find yourself a gas lamp and that really works. I like the fact that they are somewhat forcing you to use light at nighttime. Until the clouds off gets patched, i'm assuming it will, this is the only way. I do see them tweaking these to make it more realistic.
