did actually post this as part of a larger post about being able to hide things better. Wish people had read the whole thing :P it IS a good idea and i really want to see better ways of hiding our stuffs! :)

Not correct at all, a .50 cal can punch through a decent amount of armour plate, if it can punch through a jeeps engine block you can be sure it will make it through a couple inches of metal...

love the idea of world events, gnerally a more immersive world with wildlife that is not just for meat, ie dangerous animals etc storms bad weather. idea like everynone so far has but is a LITTLE bit OTT but i like your train of thought. -

bringing this fucker back from the dead as its touching on a great idea, after watching the new video blog, all i keep thinking is i need to know more about how they will improve making camps hiding vehicles etc etc. Was thinking being able to bury little caches of food etc if you have the entrenching tool, better wayys to disguise cars ie camo nets, being able to chop ferns to cover cars etc. Main thing i see as the problems is the way the terrain features grass etc draw as you move further away would really like to see this looked into. anybodyelse anything to add suggest, comment / slag this off? **EDIT** Id also like the forest to be thicker, more low level foliage and denser tree cover etc

regarding those graphics glitches yea they are not just object related but im sure removing them would get rid, they are the same thing many people who played arma 2 before the dayz rush would likely have seen when you look at the sky at certain angles sometimes, this wasn't so bad as only the sky usually went all trippy and shit! Also you say people are mad you went to the games con i disagree people are fine with you going there they are fine with you concentrating on the standalone, but what people are not happy about is the blanket silence. Yes its an alpha albeit a rather strange (read unconventional) alpha test. Despite it being an alpha we are your customers (probably) i.e we are the people who are most likely going to buy your game and its pretty out of order to just say nothing, not just you EVERYONE pretty much with the exception of Griff has had nothing to say. It all just adds to people thinking whats it actually going to be like when the stand alone comes out, it wont be using arma 3 as you've said and from what i can tell the issues with saving are in some way hive related? and surely for the most part the hive is going to be built almost the same surely for the stand alone so surely issues like this are a big worry? And you mention about patches not being released unless they are ready, when the last 2 patches i cant recall anything they actually fixed they just broke alot of things and then it all went a little bit quiet. Like i said were happy for you to take your time go do your networking but i'm sure someone including you could have said something at some point it takes a few mins to write a post on here. Hope it all wokrs out but work on that customer service :P -

will be fine just make sure you dont try and save the files to save yourself the hassle of the reinstall, just do the standard reinstall put the key in and all will be fine :) -

dont think its new mate we found them well before 1.7.2.4 on our server and came to the conclusion they are either hacked or just really rare -

Have you run the arma 2 free on its own and then ran OA as combined ops on their own before you tried to run with day z? you need to run the games first before you install day z and try to run. *edit - cant tell you if its related to the free arma 2 or not though as i never used it -

just a quick note its not the IP that stores it but the OA CD key, you can run two accounts on one pc you just need to swap the keys over, there are a few ways to do this so if oyu want to know drop me a PM -

The problem i had was when loading the keys after saving the respective registry files and loading themi always get the failed to load headers problem. Ive actually found a work around for people if you guys are interested abnd it allows the DLC to work with both your CD keys. 1) swap keys in the registry (plenty of guides on this) 2) open your steam account that has the DLC on it 3) Right click BAF>Properties>Local files tab and hit "Verify Integrity of game Cache" 4) repeat 3 for PMC 5) launch arma Beta or launch through 6 launcher/ day z commander (just dont launch through steam) This should work and allow the dlc to work for both keys and stop those damned errors! *edit* you do need to verify cache each time you swap keys but it takes maybe 10 seconds per game it will also look like its uninstalling dont worry just click yes to confirm -

Firstly i want to just note how funny the start of this thread is considering now its been picked up by rocket "lets see if this thread lasts till stand alone" etc etc wonder if that guy feels like a tit now? My suggestion and request i guess is for more zombies in general, and ones that dont sprint but so many you can get really overwhelmed especially when you start firing. Id also like a much bigger map with diverse scenery and proper mountains etc The ability to create an on the fly group and better methods of communication.
