he could have been spying on you from cover using 3'rd person, hopped in from a different server, or the power of odds were not on your side. I've had similar experiences, and though the probability is quite low, people still win the lottery sometimes...Why not the only other person on the server be in the same house as you? :D

Where is said shipwreck? i've heard a lot about it over the past couple days but have no idea where it is...

A more appropriate approach to this would be a a misfire/jam chance. This would be much more realistic and in tune with the game's item quality system. A higher percentage misfire/jam chance for the more pieces that are in poor quality and if a jam were to occur you'd need to put your rifle on the ground, take each attachment out one by one, and replace it one by one to fix it (for m4 at least). the most probable injuries for the user from actually discharging a firearm could be cuts on the hand from holding a slide action pistol incorrectly, the very uncommon cartridge burns from discharged brass, and of course shooting yourself in the foot... i'm not saying something like this needs to be implemented, but if you're looking for firing penalties this is most likely how they'd be executed

i remember reading somewhere they used zombie sounds as placeholder for wildlife, or the wildlife somehow is using zombie sounds. scared the piss outta me as i stopped at night to catch my breath and heard a zombie on top of me in the middle of a forest o.0

I've got an 8350. Runs DayZ great but the stock fan is pretty loud (no overclocking). I'd definitely suggest it for your price range.
