Yeah but continuously adding script content to the engine code is like watching a spoilt rich fatkid at burgerking. The code only gets longer and more bugs keep mounting. -

Just for the record...zombies dont spot you in buildings. They hear your footsteps, which seem to be amplified inside buildings to infected ears, hence why they run from the opposite side of towns to get you. This was the same when the mod first came out, its only a matter of time before its fixed. Walking through walls etc is another issue which should be fixed by now rather than introducing new content. As I've said in other threads, they should fix the issues we have now instead of adding more.

Now now, lets not flame the OP as he's got a point. The forums are already starting to flood with hack reports and it will only get worse before it gets better. Yeah its only a matter of time before BE and VAC catch up but lets be honest here....why introduce new content etc in the next patch when the content we currently have isnt locked down securely. These weak spots should be the first priority to be fixed and then build upwards from a solid foundation. The more content that gets added the longer the code becomes which will present more vulnerabilities in the source....making it harder for the implementation of fixes as the weak spots will be buried deeper. What they should be doing is purchasing any known hacks, see how they are injected and fixing the code to put a stop to it.

Why is the goal; servers able to support 150 players?

Look at it this way, not every server will be 150 players, the ones that will have will offer 2 things to those that want to play on it...Large Clan/Groups fighting each other for supremacy or total carnage for all the cod kiddies and unless the maps made larger then you'll be bumping into players constantly. -

Why not have a single Anal inventory slot where u can hide rare shit.....it cant be looted only passed! Bandits would then need to give flowers and chocolates before gaining access or force feed people until they shit themselves...this would be time consuming of course which allows for time to be saved by a hero wearing a pink hat and carrying a tub of KY. KoS cured because KoS'ers and bandits are gay.

Absolutely nothing wrong with the blurring and greying...it works exactly how its supposed to. If you dont like it then you heal asap...the whole concept behind it is to make you feel more vulnerable and isolated....job done imho. Yeah its not pretty or graphicly orgasmic but hey...neither is dying! Essentially thats what is happening, your character is dying from blood loss and you experience greyout and blurry vision. But just to pacify the QQ's, they should replace it with tunnel vision and a white light with cool smoke effects and as you move towards it you see your life flash by and friends, family and GOD stand in the light waving to you urging you forward while angels fly around with harps and trumpets....just to make it look better of course!!! -
The ability for groups to control towns, block it off and control who enters and leaves. Make it a safezone etc Generators running on fuel can run lighting and water pumps. Oh and obviously the more you try to barricade and control the more you have to defend. It should also be destructible too....maybe driving vehicle's into barricades could destroy them or using axes could put a hole in it to sneak teams in to gain control....this then presents the danger of controlling too big a base. Fuel sources only regenerate every few months to make it scarce. This will encourage people to come out and hunt for it, fight and die for it. With fuel needed to run generators that keep towns running or fuel vehicles...this will create tension, fueds, trades and exploring. Cut trees down with axes for wooden planks or logs to be able to build cabins, treehouses, fences, blockades. Introduction of nature's dangers....leaches in water, ticks or snakes in the grass, all of which occur if you stay in one spot too long and bites can make you sick. This may help to stop people camping areas to Kos. If a sniper wants to camp an area and just kill for shits and giggles then make them work for it....try sniping with no anti-venom etc Add more dirt, mess and destruction around the place. For a place overrun with infected that probably caused mayhem, panic and chaos it looks awfully tidy. It needs fires, crashes, mess, blood...you know, all the things you see in the movies when the shit hits the fan. A bigger variant in buildings. Too many towns and buildings look the same. More realistic looking infected/zombies, more gore and grotesque please. The stones found around could be used to sharpen knives, bayonets and axes. Face scarfs and headwraps in the same colours as the bandanas are. This could then be used to display gang colours lol. Denim and leather waistcoats and a gerry helmet for biker gangs. Would be cool to see other gang type clothing instead of every group looking like military crews.

Mumble and Teamspeak will only work for you if you have a group of friends and a Teamspeak or Mumble Server to join. You can use voicechat ingame to communicate directly to others. And yeah your character will always be the same on every server...unless you die. Also note that this is not a game yet, its the alpha release of a game to be so character and server wipes do happen....dont get too attached to your gear (Golden Rule of DayZ).

Im hoping the devs decide to add a proximity logout into the game....where If you've fired a shot, been shot at, aggro'd or came into a close proximity of a player not on your friendslist then you cannot log out for a set period of time.

Or...the server automatically detects players trying to do so and spawns them 100mtr away.A simple log of players that have contributed in some way or another to the base would have immunity from the 100mtr spawn rule. Or...the 100mtr spawn would apply to anyone not listed on the base owners steam friends list.
