Well i think cold mirror can put this better than i can: -
I think the reward (loot) of the killed player is not the reason for KoS it's just an additional reward... but the most rewarding thing to player who KoS is to just kill another player, because it's a game, it's possible and it's convenient to kill another player if you see one (one-shot dead + no negative repercussion at all). So the only possible solution to prevent KoS is to make this kind of behavior very inconvenient. I think those kind of players don't give a shit about consequences after they are dead (maybe they even think that they will never die or something), but maybe those players will more frequently stop playing the game when running into them (wich would be nice) so maybe it's feasible to install a short death-timer (There shouldn't be a way to avoid this timer) of about 10-15 Minutes (Until your body despawns), so a player can't loot his own body on his own and can't respawn that frequently, maybe that will solve some other problems too ^^.

I like the idea of a subtle way to implement skills, to add more realism to this idea: some skills can become forgotten when activitys linked to those skills are not carried out for a while, in this way it should become nearly impossible to collect all skills so that teamwork is required.

Tomorrow there should come a patch that enables a 30 seconds log-off timer even when alt-f4ing out of game.

Well i still think that it's better to just unify time on all servers, so it doesn't matter to know how late it is on the server, because it's the same time on all servers.

That's right and that's the way it should be (weighing out options to get loot) and not like "lol i shoot this new spawn here cause YOLO" or "I know this player have no loot at all but i better shoot him anyway" or even "This player helped me a lot and gave me all i have got... but i found a Makarov so better shoot him". Vote for stronger zombies btw :)

Nah not my experience constantly get KOS up north too, hiding in the forest could be an option but actually there isn't enough to live from the fat of the land ^^.

I totally agree that servers shouldn't be separated in ANY way, that is what destroyed the mod completely. I don't care wich solution will be implemented here (because i think 3d person view isn't that of a huge advantage) but for the love of god don't start to separate the servers again.

Well i think it is a good thing that something like ballota is there, because it sucks up all the assholes like a black hole, makes it a little easier to survive when avoiding this doomed place :)

I have seen an interesting youtube video that contains an interesting solution to this: http://youtu.be/NENTWgWFFM0?t=4m20s So basically there are 3 type of roles: heroes (over 2500 Humanity) Bandits (less than 0 Humanity but more than -10000) Cannibals (less than -10000) As stated in the video cannibals could have a different appearence (like covered in blood) and/or experience unusual visual effects and/or get an additional need to kill people otherwise they will loose health/blood.

Well although this topic is old i like the idea (maybe places the defib. to better use ingame) as long as if the implamentation of this makes sense (i don't know ^^).

Well with the new version everyone who log out while being unconscious or restrained will be dead immediately ^^ and yes unconsciousness is still broken. :( I like the idea to have some kind of mini-game while being unconscious

Yep just check out the air-fields... i think there wasn't a time where noone was there when i engaged an air-field ^^.

hum? i thought you meant that you thought that i meant that every server change would take 1 hour, but that wasn't exactly what i meant. But i disagree on OPs suggestion to implement a paid model, permanent server lock or anything like that^^.
