This is so cool. Never seen anyone try this for standalone. Its going to add a whole new level of depth to my game.. going to pick up every ak round i find and use other guns to kill zombies now. great job guys.

ya i hear ya. some people like to cry hacks when they simply just got bested... i have well over 400hours on the standalone and only seen teleporters personally a handful of times.. and have never seen them outside of elektro. the 2 i killed today had a protector case with 2 long range scopes.. and the other had a ammo box full of mosin ammo.. other then that their backpacks were empty.. so i assume they just do it for the LuLz, not for gear. seeing how iv died from every silly way imaginable ... a hacker here or there isnt going to sully my experience. :) cheers

feel for you man.. just an hour a go i was sniping in elektro when 2 dudes just appeared in front of me... seeing this sorta thing before i kinda expected to die so i just ran around in circles while they teleported around slowly punched me to death.. i was taking shots with my mosin to no avail .. i guess they were just having fun with me till i pulled out the m4 i was also carrying .... i sprayed the 60 mag like crazy getting lucky and killing both. im sure if either of them had a weapon i wouldnt have gotten away with my life. sorry for your loss dude.

last night me and my mate spotted a guy at the air field fully geared running around with a shot gun. i had a long range scope laying down behind a bush .. i was so far there was no way he could see me. i watched as he bee lined into the jail and we set up a ambush. long story short he came out of the jail with his sawed off shot gun and fired at me .. i was posted up behind the hanger with just my head sticking out. he fired a bunch of shots way too fast for a shot gun... and hit me.. i went unconscious. in a matter if seconds he was on my friend and killed him .. my friend a avid player of the game had no idea what kind of gun killed him.. he said he never heard that kind of fire before. and i know what i saw threw my long range scope.. the guy had a sawed off shot gun .. it was so fishy i came to the forums to see if anyone knew anything and after reading this i now understand what happened.

i used to find these all the time in fire houses... but they were called Transmitters ... now the name has changed to Walkie Talkie... does this mean its working now and has anyone given it a try?

ya i get random people who add me on steam from this. they always send stupid msg's like hey we played on the same server wanna be friends....not a fan of this feature on steam

same thing happened to me last night too.. logged in to a you are unconscious msg ... waited like 20 mins and i didnt wake up.. tried to log into another server and i was on the coast..

i seem to be having the same problem. almost every time i log out and come back later to play im on the coast ... happened 3 times yesterday.... and one time i logged in unconscious and it stayed like that for 10 mins till i gave up waiting to wake up. and i was back on the coast. im not server hopping .. i just have a busy scheduled so i only get to play an hour here and a hour there. i log out in safe spots.. i never had this problem till after the patch. any insight would be great

not sure if someone mentioned this but the other day the same thing happened to my character ...i tried a bunch of servers and nothing changed.. i was so pissed i turned the game off and came back hours later .. to my surprise i had my char. back... try not to loot or do anything that will make it save your new character. just log off and try it a while later. good luck

the mosin recoil adjustment was a good idea and realistic, but the problem i have with it is it makes it extremely difficult to sight in your scope ... before patch i aim down my scope shoot and then set my range accordingly... but now with the recoil i my view goes so far off target i can see where my bullet is landing. if your going to keep this recoil can we at least get some sort of range finder. awesome thanks.. cheers

before the patch.. if you had ammo that was ruined you could split it and the split ammo would be 50/50 ruined/pristine, you could keep doing this till there was one bullet left and the rest were pristine. havent had a chance to test this out on the new patch.. maybe someone else can. cheers

pretty sure thats never happened to me .. i could be wrong but every time a server restarted i was able to rejoin another without the penalty... i could be wrong once again

whats a good server in your mind..? not so many people, time of day, regular or hardcore, low ping? because all the info is available before selecting a server. sounds to me like you were looking for a server that wasnt looted already.. which is server hoping.. if you spawn into an area and its been looted .. prolly means you should move to another part of the map not switch servers... aka server hopping

this should be implemented asap. this game is in desperate need of something else to strive for. maybe i say this because iv played so much already but i find myself getting bored with what i have to work with. i dont want to be a bandit so that side of the game is dead to me... i explored the whole map, seen what i could see (took pictures) survived for weeks, found/crafted every item in the game, obtained a complete kit of pristine gear, killed bandits, helped fresh spawns, talked to strangers and made friends... but now what? with the OP's idea added would give me a reason to do all that stuff over again without feeling like im spinning my wheels.

sick of people saying .. just turn up your gama/brightness... i dont wanna play in black and white and i got better things to do when its day time out in real life. kind of a deal breaker.

i too just logged in and my character was geared differently from before the patch. didnt think much of it till i recognized my gear was from a few days ago when my character got wiped. the only reason i know for sure was on that character i had horded 4 prestine saline solutions with iv starter attached in a medkit bag. only did that once.. i figured we would have got wiped after this patch so i count myself lucky.

the most exciting thing that happens in this game is when your getting shot at or trying to shoot someone. theres nothing else to do. most people want to play the hero role ... but without bandits there would be no excitement and just people waving and giving beans to one another. boring. i like the game dont get me wrong but with little given to us we need to figure out ways to entertain ourselves. lately me and my friends try to hold down a town and claim it and try to keep people out. we dont kos, kill fresh spawns or go out of our way to be super friendly. we give viop warnings to stay away and fire warning shots. most run. but the odd time a group of three well armed players or so try to roll in on us. thats when the game is at its best. kinda like capture the flag (or school/hospital). we as a community have a role to play in making this game great.

iv often thought about how combat logging could be fixed. id like to see a 15 second log out time with an animation to show others that your logging out but also with a option to cancel the log out. this way people wont just bail at the first sign of danger.
