No the time is fine as it is. I would like if it gave you the option to eat half or eat all, still the same amount of time but you don't have to constantly be putting it back in your hands and selecting eat/drink. Also an option to cancel animation would be necessary.

I concur.

Yes. The mod was boring and the overly simplistic medical system was a factor in why. If you ever played arma 2 with the ACE mod, the medical system was quite complex and it added a lot to the gameplay.
