I bandaged myself ~10 times using rags and never got any problems with infections.

No problem, blurriness is due to low health, if you know how to get "Healing", do that. If not -> THIS! It is already reported, e.g. HERE. Alpha is Alpha... as I said, I broke mine by getting pushed into a wall. ^^

Well, you can, but it has no effect right now (no blood/health loss etc.). I am sure this will change as the developement progresses.

While I understand the reasoning, I can only disagree. I can't understand people with the crappy ingame voice over and I am not willing to not being able to communicate with my buddies. Implement a solution then. :P -

I only change server when it's night time, the server lags badly, I start a new session (as in the next day) or I want to meet up with my friends.

No, the impact isn't bad, the blurriness can make the game unplayabe and that is health not blood and can be turned off. Colour desaturation is a minor impact. Of course getting weaker is a better thing but I don't mind the colour loss, just regain blood, it's not that hard. -

Yeah, player encounters are rather rare, even on populated servers... unless you are near a spawn point. ^^
