The motor helmet makes it harder for people to knock you out, and the Kevlar helmet stops a bullet from killing you if it is not ruined.

Paragliders can also be used with a trike which could be found or crafted from pipes and wheels. easy to move as well by car.

So I was thinking about the weight shift trikes and paragliders again. To make them harder to get, they could make it were you would find just the trike or paragliding engine. I would have to disagree with you Awruk, I think some helicopters have a place as well as other ultralight aircraft And Monkfish just lol and beans for you.

Yeah that's how I feel, but if they are going to add helicopters make them fit in with the story.Edit: I'm sure the TOH controls would cut down on the people that actually know how to fly/start up.

Cool thing about the ka 26 is that the back cargo space can be removed and a whole new pod could be added to the back. So you could have one for transporting 6 people or crop dusting equipment to dust your crop fields. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamov_Ka-26

I don't think anyone has played TOH (take on helicopters), if you thought it was hard in the mod. Good luck man. On another note the Ka 26 has a cool look and is used by some farmers. Though it is not as common as the mi2 or mi8.

Yeah, I agree but somewhere I saw a file of the standalone and saw a helicopter one. I am not really saying that I want helicopters in the game but if they do get added at least make them fit in with the background of the story.

I see what your saying but two things 1 it looks like the devs will be adding a helicopter, because of game files found, don't know right now how I feel about it 2 this is not really about helicopters but aircraft that can only carry one or two people, but I see how they could be abused, they would just need some trade off like stated above

That's why I think having ultralights would be a good fit for dayz.1 they fly slow around any where from 20 to 80 mph 2 have a low amount of usable cargo space/weight 3 mostly use 2 stroke engines which have a higher need of maintenance, and have a higher chance of failure
