Get rid of the m4...and replace with period and place apropriate weapons.
kingrex replied to Armadyl's topic in Suggestions
was just going to post that link Dale. -
I was just playing TOH and found out that the little bird can be taken down with one rifle shot to the tail rotor, so helicopters could be added with out the need of heavy weaponry. I also agree that they should not be armed.
-
I was thinking no till I looked up how fuel efficient trains can be. I feel that this should be end game, it should take at lest a few guys to get it repaired and running.
-
I haven't tried TOH so I don't know what the system is like there, if it's balanced with the right amount of complexity then staying low and dipping over rises would be very dangerous, also if your lucky enough to get a chopper up and running and the pilot screw's it up I doubt they'd let them fly again for a while. Yeah TOH is pretty good, it has different difficulties, such as trainee which is similar to arma two but has more flight mechanics. Another one is veteran which requires a flight stick to control torque.

finding a working/repairable helicopter would be rare and a pilot even rarer, I think adding ultralight aircraft would be great realistic and fun wise. They are easy to fly and repair. http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/159900-ultralight-aircraft/

I want everything mentioned thus far lol. Nice topic by the way, beans for you.

Here is a trailer for a zombie movie that has a powered paraglider about half way through. Shows how one could be used to get away from all those nasty zombies. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jevzjmPyv-g&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DjevzjmPyv-g So I'm still looking for someone that voted no, to explain why they don't want ultralights in game. I'm just curious to see why it would not fit
-
It's a bug and this is not really a suggestion or is it?
-
One cool thing I would like to see is ultralight aircraft later on down the road. It would be amazing to buzz over head and could be use for scouting in a bigger group. Also I like most of your ideas but I would like to keep npc's to mods or not in game at all. With the plan to have over a hundred players in game I just don't see why they would need to be in, but that's my opinion.

It's late but I'm posting some cool info. First off I know that dayz is not set in the Czech Republic but it is molded off of it, so here are some interesting links regrading Czech ultralight numbers and a cool fixed wing group. http://en.laacr.cz/laa-in-numbers.htm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Letov_LK-2_Sluka http://www.abpic.co.uk/photo/1372751/
-
Lol that's great man and this has never been suggested before.
-
Well did not see anyone mention it so I'll say it, Rocket said it is just temporary fix. You can read it on his twitter.
-
It's alright man everyone has to learn sometime, good luck and stay safe.

The magnums take .357 ammo, and the fire station does not spawn many guns, try the control towers and barracks.
-
Op I like your idea about making Chernarus more Russian and can see why you don't like seeing so much western stuff. The reason for the western gear and weapons in my opinion is that the devs are modeling chernarus after the Czech Republic, which has a far amount of western weapons and vehicles. here is the Czech Republic military http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_of_the_Czech_Republic
-
I agree man it would be cool, most engines also disassemble so they can fit into a cars trunk. I also have to say that I really do not like that guy dell, if you follow any paragliding news. He is basically a really bad guy that gets paragliding banned at places he goes.
-
Good topic op and I like your thinking but one thing I spotted. The gas mask is not American it is a Czech m10m.
-
That's what I'm hoping for as well, may the glorious devs gaze upon us and this humble topic. (Bows head)

Dangers of an engine out + low altitude, the two people were lucky. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icfU8WN6Un0 Also sorry about posting a lot, I just really like this subject and wise it had a little more people posting.
-
Don't know how I feel, guess I just don't care all too much about it, but I will say this. Over a million people have bought the alpha so basically everyone you run into will have this shirt if they want to wear it.
-
Also here is a powered parachute, bigger and it's easier to carry two with one. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9TVzRGoDg5E
-
Takeoff in a paraglider with a cart, less chance of breaking your legs lol. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LNgU4IcbMfM
-
lol they call me the fan man of Elektro.
-
I think first person only would be the best way to go but third person is still in game, so we will have to see how it goes. Also here is someone taking off in a powered paraglider without a cart https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qDySi3hZYdQ Possibility of breaking your leg if you stall?
-
That's what I was going for. Once you start looking at ultralights (in the US) most have a 2 stroke if it is only a one seater. The 2 strokes work pretty well but for someone that does not know how to clean and maintain it, it can become unsafe very quickly because of carbon built up and wear.
