Yeah BigMike is right, I was just giving a quick answer while at work. -
I can see where this would be nice for people that play together but in my own opinion finding my friends is have the fun. Also there would have to be some way to hinder it a bit because you don't want a clan of 30 people spawning all in the same spot at one.

The devs have said multiple times that it should be around 6 months or less if thing go good. Edit: Time is an estimate -
If you want head shot only zombies why not suggest that the military or police zombies sometimes are wearing a bullet proof vest which makes head shots the easy way to take them out.

That is true but we are also playing a game, that happens to be set in an alternate universe, but to be honest I would not be mad if helicopters do not make it in. I mean the real reason I want them is because their fun. I think aircraft should be in game though I would like to see fixed wing aircraft take the place of helicopters.

Well, helis did not ruin the mod for me and Isn't that the point for having any type of vehicles, to own the map due to your speed. That's how I see it in my opinion.

Right and your talking about the mod. If they do add choppers to the game which flight model do you think the devs are going to use the old arma 2 characteristics or the ones from TOH?

OhNoes I would agree with you that helicopters are just the fastest means of transportation and I don't get why people think of helicopters as such god like vehicle. In Take on Helicopters you can take out a little bird with five rounds to the tail rotor, counting the misses that's about only one mag of 5.56. Though true they can be used to find bases fast but isn't that kinda part of having something that flys. I would like to see them in game or at least some fixed winged light sport aircraft.

I would disagree but that's my opinion. Just because its the "apocalypse" does not mean everything vehicle disappears, though it should be harder to get thing working due to lack of supplies.

I hope they do get added in but are hard to maintain, (like needing other vehicles and a squad just to fix it) would also like to see the Mi 2 or Ka 26 be the helicopters added. Though ultralight/light fix wing aircraft should be more common then the helicopters. I just want a quicksilver ;)

The empty cases do not eject in a revolver man. Though if you had a stack of less then six it would be nice to not see six rounds loaded in to the revolver.

Just another Suggestion for when most things are finished, aircraft wise the Jet Ranger would be another decent choice to go with for the largest helicopter in game. It can hold 1 pilot and 4 passengers, has the ability to be customized, and is one of the most produced helicopters. For these reasons I believe that this would be a good option for the main helicopter for Dayz. Thanks and would love to hear what people think.

Its one of the most produced civilian helicopters and it's used all over the world, not everything has to be Russian made to show up in chernarus.

I've actually suggested the mi 2 and ka 26 already in its own topic, would love to see it in game just thought the bell 206 could fit. I also like the idea of the bell 47

Could not agree more about the rarity and ultralights, I love the phantom by the way (its aerobatic). Though not crazy about the need of manuals, could be something like a reference book for parts that are used for repairs or something.

That is true, but for me a nuclear power still just seems out of place. If they do add more maps or make the original a lot bigger then sure why not.

Yeah I can respect your opinion. However playing devils advocate how do you know this is the only effected area or first? For all we know this was the last know place to hold out or people could have flocked to this area (lots of military presents/airports). That is what I love about dayz you can make up your own story.

You do realize that in all of Russia has only 47 stations and most are group up into installations. Its not like building one is easy and like Geckofrog said it does not make sense to have one in Chernarus. It would be cool don't get me wrong just seems to me like it would be out of place.

I don't really see the Jet Ranger as a billionaires helicopter or a presidents, the one about is actual a just flight tour chopper in the Czech Republic. The Bell 206 is also used for crop-dusting.

That's why I think the majority should be ultralight aircraft, but I would also like to see one or two helicopters. I think they should also be hard to find and hard to maintain though. I just like talking about what people what to see in game.

I would have to disagree. Though aircraft should by no means be common just because it's the "apocalypse" does not mean all aircraft don't work or whatever. I believe helicopters should be very rare, small planes and ultralights should be more common, I was just throwing out the idea for the sky ranger because they are common and around that area of the world as well. I also think a mi 2 or ka 26 would be better then an mi17 just my own opinion. I don't like the fact that an mi17 could carry the whole server

Could be something like the start up procedure of the aircraft/what components are needed to fix whatever is broken. Like a chart of what to do, no needed but makes operating/fixing the vehicle that much easier.

They seem to be popular all over Europe and in the Czech Republic. Sure their not as popular as say general aviation aircraft but their out there, and sense the map is mostly rural there could be some around. http://en.laacr.cz/laa-in-numbers.htm
