I think this is a thing that only the PC's that can run Dayz in high graphics, can display. Leaving the slower/weaker machines at another disadvantage.

Respawning of gear is heavy on the server side. And thats only one reason why it hasnt been implemented yet. Stop whining and adjust to the Alpha. Yes, the alpha. Its not a game yet.

So I was shot at, but not hit just an hour ago. And I thought my character went into some kind of shock, cause she cant see very well. My status is "Energized" and "Hydrated", nothing else. I dont bleed. I can see colors. But my vision is so blurry, I cant see zombies from 50m away. Do I need some kind of painkillers? Or what? Any advice?

Ive killed people that are too dumb to live. Like the 2 man team yesterday at the nwaf. 1. They sprint across the airfield, seen by anyone within 300?m. 2. They go for the firestation first. Gets chased by 2 zombies on the way to the guard tower. And shoot at least 7-10 shots to kill those. 3. They both stand on top of the guardtower and stay visible for over 1min. They deserved to die a quick death, so I killed them from 50m range with my magnum. I took my time with the aim, even missed the first 2 shots. They paniced, one fell down a level. And both died because they dont know the game. I hope this encounter will leave them more careful in the future, so I dont have to laugh at their stupidity next time. /End of rage post. PS: I will always kill people that take to high risks getting killed. Never first KOS. But Im defenitely killing people. Not for fun, but in the name of education.

I still miss the moments of crawling through a whole block in a city, to reach that fountain..

My brother is half russian, so yeah. He can translate. But its not that hard to learn how to read the signs ingame. As long as you are decently aware of the towns names.

The first time I became a bandit in the mod, was because I killed someone in self defence. Broken hero/bandit system cant be trusted. On topic. Ive played the mod for about 200-300 hours. Half that time on the Taviana map, which Im looking forward to see again in the distant future!

Thats also how I feel. The most fun part atm, when theres no endgame goals, is gearing up again. The challenge to find something to open my cans with, the first firearm, the first near death experience.. ;)

First time playing after yesterdays patch blabla.. First thing I noticed is that an hour played had been rolled back. Because I resumed my play at a previous saved location. Doesnt matter. Second thing, my sound was disabled somehow. So I played a bit without sound, before I restarted Dayz. Solved the sound issue. And now to the clone.. When I came back after restarting Dayz. A character stood to the right, infront of me. Looking exactly like me. I mean exactly. I was amazed! I shot the clone in the head, and he went down. Seconds later, while Im pulling up my Fireaxe. He lays on the ground and turns his head to look at me!! I bury my axe in his back. And hes dead. Now, was this a clone or not? Because when I opened his inventory, he had the same exact items. On the same slots I had. All items identical. But 50% of the items was gone from the backpack. And all other ruined (probably cause I axed' him in the back). His weapon, with all the attachments, was pristine. Just as my own gun. So I could loot the parts and ammo from that cloned gun. And walk away. Has anyone else encountered this? I say again, that this was indeed an exact image of myself. Except that he had some missing items in his backpack.

Alright, its an already known bug. Which some abuse for some reason.. I certainly hope it doesnt happen again, but I guess killing the clone and leave it to dissapear, is the only way to go then.

I want vehicles. But they should be harder to obtain, to repair and gas for them should be rare. Also, I think vehicles should be server bound. So it belongs to the server, not the player repairing/driving it. I also think that roadblocks should be present, or at least they should be possible to craft.

I once camped 2 camping guys near elektro, for almost 2 hours. At OP, its also likely that some more people see the same dropped loot as you do, and simply shoots you for the loot. Not just camping.

One, a guy I met inside a walmart. We both were suprised to see eachother. I said "Hi!", he opened fire, I buried my axe in his face. So much for being nice.. ;) Ive been alive for 16 ingame hours, and kept avoiding other players. Exploring the map still! Love the new stuff/buildings/camps theyve put in. Makes me wanna' keep explorin'!

I actually dont give a horse poop, about this is real or fake. Its entertainment at high level, and Ive read all the posts this far in this thread. And I love it! Cherno, east of the church. Looting the resturaunts for food.. When I finally find a 30slot backpack, I was amazed! I could finally stop being picky about what to keep or not.. I run across the road, to one of the older workshops, where an old friend of mine used to work. Wondering if he could still be alive.. Or walk around here somewhere, moaning and thursting for flesh, as every living being Ive met so far has been eager to get from me.. Then I suddenly hear a shot fired a few meters behind me! I could feel the air pressing against my chin as the bullet barely missed my head. Instinctively, I bolt for the door into the workshop. I can hear the guy behind me laughing hysterically, as he fires more rounds, all of them hitting the wall in front of me.. as I run for my life. I ran through the workshop and turn left, around the corner. And as I still hear the maniac laughing, I also hear that hes just about to leave the building.. Running carelessly after me, thinking Im easy pray. I stopped, and pulled out my baseball bat. Thinking this is my only chance of survival. I turned, fell on a knee.. Could feel the gravel dig its way into my knee, ignoring the pain and instead prepared for a mighty swing. Just as he revealed himself, coming around the corner, I aim for his legs. I can hear bone crack, and even before he falls to the ground, Ive aimed another swing. This time I aim at his head. Hitting him once. Twice. And a third time. And again.. And not until I noticed the laughing had stopped, I stopped hitting him. I stood up, the adrenaline level was enormous. My hands blooded and shaking.. I turn away from the aweful sight. And leave.. Another day of dayz.
