You dont realise how different this new Dayz will be compared to the mod, do you? I guess, youll have to wait and see. Just like everyone. I do want mods, but I know for certain that they wont let us do anything until the game is out. We need to finish the beta first.

Seriously? Hes one of the few gamers, with a known background and personal life. Id want proof before anything else comes up. Hes a damn good FPS gamer, and Ive seen his playes before he turned to Youtube videos.

They should be server based modifications. If you barricade a door, then its barricaded on that server only. Will be a huge issue otherwise ofc. And you should only be able to barricade some doors. So you cant make a few building impossible to enter. Either by making the barricades destructable, or setting a timer on them.

I used it for quite some time, before I found a Mosin. And a 2shot kill rifle, with 2 rounds cap, is kind of balanced imo.

Rule nr 1. - Dont trust anyone. Its pretty obvious. No hate here. I think people enjoy new ways to kill others, Ive heard of quite a few different ways survivors has been tricked and killed. Much like you were here. Live and learn.

Ive played for 40+hours now, casually. On my 7th life or something since mid December. And I havent found a single long range scope. Nor suppressor for the M4. Its sure a mission! And I love it. Eventually Ill find one!

It might not be the right way to prevent farmers of this kind. The right way to prevent this will surely be private hives. Stick to the same server, and youll be fine. Making the 5min cd longer will ruin the game as it is now. The bad connections, and hosts kicking players from their servers. Gives me alot of dead time, trying to find a low pop server to play on. Trying to join the game, just to get kicked or disconnect within 10min, will result in a wait before each game thats terrible. -

I got the famous red message on 8 servers this morning, before I got tired of it and quit. -
Ive killed 5 people this life, in selfdefence, and in greed. 3 of which were shooting at me first.. 2 with a wrench, and the last 3 with a fireaxe. My point, its not hard at all to kill people with guns, when theres buildings around, since they are almost always panicking. Or simply have a bad aim (player wise or charwise). I think youll have a much easier time to survive in the cities, on 20-30pop servers. Than full servers in the outskirts of civilisation. Its so easy to loose track of someone, sprinting and ziggzagging through town. Especially if they arent holding anything in their hands.

I have no idea actually, I kind of hope they do reset all characters soon. That will leave the inland pretty empty for a day or so. And dont worry about loosing gear, if youre that eager to find a new sks. Try join low population servers. And cross your fingers! If I will loose my FNX with a magazin, I just found this mornings session before work. Im gonna frown a second or two, and then concentrate on my new spawn locations lootspawns! ;) @Byrgesen, I have seen that most first posts of most threads, are just silly comments without any point whatsover.

I died for some reason today aswell. No indication whatsoever why I died. However, a tip. If youre going to kill yourself, either jump from a tall building.. OR get a Zombie to kill you. Ive broken my legs before, trying to kill myself. Hell Ive even had to starve myself to death before. Its sooo much fun! :D

I was killed yesterday at the nwaf, because I forgot to reload my mosin. Yeah, beginner mistake. Anyways, I had killed 3 people in selfdefence. By the time I had run through Elektro. And Ive killed like 10-12 people so far in selfdefence overall. So it did felt pretty solid, that Elektro is the place to go for some random pvp.

You dont think that most of the map will be unexplored? I mean, when I lived with my parents, and studied, I could easily spend 5+hours a day on a game. Nowadays, Ill be lucky to get 1 hour/day on dayz. Sure, its alpha. And test results are more important. But I also think that theyll get more info from us, if they see more of us inland. Than just on the close quarters of the coast.
