I really hope this is a troll threat because the IQ of this community is really starting to worry me.

The day in the life of an utter expert
Laitis (DayZ) replied to mooky32's topic in General Discussion
Doesn't bring enough ammo to kill hordes of noobs and decides to camp Elektro? Story sounds pretty pleb tier to me bro. Keep trying though. -
Expect the patch to never come out and then be surprised when it actually does. Works for me every time. Actually.

will we ever get ballistic chest armor?
Laitis (DayZ) replied to BaitedHook's topic in General Discussion
There already is body armor in the game right now. In the form of a vest that says "Press" written across the front. -
Rocket in holiday doesn't mean nothing happens
Laitis (DayZ) replied to TimM1983's topic in General Discussion
And where did you hear the patch was due next week? It was actually due 4 days ago and we haven't heard a word about except that it wasn't going to happen. Personally, I don't think we're going to see it next week either. -

Then suck it up bud, 30 minutes isn't a long time. It would solve a lot more problems than cause, trust me.

Some things I would like to see...
Laitis (DayZ) replied to Apple Monster's topic in General Discussion
On the issues of the map and doors. If you want to draw a map then go ahead. There's already a map of the country posted here http://dayzdb.com/map. Screen cap it and draw all over it if you like. Some things are better left out of the game than in. Now for the doors. I assume that you don't have much experience with the Real Virtuality engine that the game runs on. It's about 12 years old and doors have operated the exact same way since Operation Flashpoint and have persisted through the Arma series. I really don't see it changing in the near future. -
How to use the search function.

inb4 Thousands of threads saying that the search bar is hacking and that it's too OP. -
The age that features become bugs has started.

It's like I'm really using EA customer support!

I remember reading on Rocket's twitter that the suppressors currently do not work. So at the moment they are just cosmetic tools of intimidation.

All of my beans. I would absolutely love this feature as a means of identifying your group. Just tear up a shirt or use one of the many bandannas that you come across to tie on your arm and BAM! 80% less hesitation and team killing across the board!

In your perfect game, how big do you want servers to be?
Laitis (DayZ) replied to vrsick's topic in General Discussion
I actually like it right where it is with 40. Probably 60 at most. It provides that sense of isolation and loneliness that this type of disaster would bring. It also gives a chance to run into other survivors while trying to pick clean town or maybe running through the countryside on your way somewhere. It would be way too boring with any less players knowing that all of us want to run into somebody at some point; I just do not want 100+ player servers where every place I go I'm running into about 10 guys or so and having to fight all of them over food or clothes. -
Suggestion: Zombie Mode From Being Bitten
Laitis (DayZ) replied to gaznox's topic in General Discussion
It's been done in previous "zombie esque" mods that predate the DayZ mod for Arma. So I know it can be done; it was a little different in the fact that the player zombies were AI controlled rather than the player assuming control of the zombified character. Which I would be all for, only if the player was killed by a zombie, not another player. -
- OP, every time. GG kid, made me reply to thread.

The only true way to play this game. Have done so ever since the first day the mod debuted. We will actively hunt any living soul we find in the game, geared or not. The game got about ten times better when we were able to hand cuff all the ungeared noobs we can find and force rotten food down their throats and watch them puke and complain before we blow their brains out over an unopened can of spaghetti. Then travelling over to air fields and military bases killing looters and server hoppers alike to replenish ourselves on ammo and drinks. Then when we feel like committing genocide we make a trek down to Chernogorsk and wipe the city clean of wannabe gunmen and travelers. With every kill each and every member of our group finds a complete sense of enjoyment over possibly ruining someones day after they possibly could have spent hours accumulating all of their gear, which was all destroyed in mere seconds from a few bursts of accurate fire. We rush, willingly, into any situation fearing none and killing all. What can I say? It's just pure fun.
