Ok so I don't know if anyone else has had this problem but I can't climb ladders. My character will do the animation of getting on the ladder but I don't actually get on it nor can I climb up or down it and in order to get off the ladder i need to turn around completely and vault off it. I have no idea what is causing it and it's only in experimental. It's a pretty major issue not being able to do this.

They no longer have the ArmA2/ArmA3 presets. They've been steadily changing the controls.

they already have spawns a bit inland but inside a house would be a bit much. Although it would be kinda cool it does break lore as McWendy said.

I have a story for you all, of me and my friend Jack on a public RP server. We started a new life in different towns, me in Berezino and Jack in Kamyshovo. There he met 2 freshly spawned players and began to "Preach" our new religion to them. The religion is set on the sole purpose of worshiping the booty, its started out as a joke and turned into a running thing we do. The two freshspawns listened to him and started following him around as he told them about the religion. As I listened to him (we were on skype at the time) I started telling him to bring them to the 2 houses on the South-Eastern corner of Chernarus, which is where we were gonna meet anyways. He eventually just started spouting a load of random bullshit but it was fun to listen to. The freshspawns continued to follow his lead. I arrived at the house first and tried to look for sticks to build a fire. That's when I noticed I was very close to starving, and I had a very terrible Idea. We make a sacrifice. I told Jack the plan and he agreed so when we got the freshies to the house we all went inside, and took a seat. Jack proceeded to preach some more as I got ready to execute one of the followers on his mark. the code words: Booty Bless. On hearing those words I put a round into the follower next to me. The second follower, Adam I believe his name was, looked confused and started babbling about how we killed him. But we assured him that this was necessary, and He calmed down. I brought out a knife and began carving the body to eat, but the man was diseased and we couldn't salvage any edible meat. (The Game glitched and wouldn't let us skin him >:c) So, over mic, I told Jack the meat was unclean and we would need to try again. Adam didn't seem to catch that and we started chanting around the body with our hands raised. and again, on Jack's signal, I pulled my gun and executed Adam. His meat was more than suitable for consumption. So we gave a quick "Booty Bless" and went outside to start the fire. Me and Jack were just going crazy about how this whole thing went. We weren't expecting it to actually work that way. So as we waited for the meat to cook and discussed how our religion had quickly turned into a cult, I noticed another fresh spawn creeping up towards the house we did the sacrifices in. I quickly told jack an we started moving in to investigate. Jack went ahead of me and tried to get the freshspawns attention when I noticed another Well- Geared player behind Jack. I immediately told him and made my first mistake, I ran up to the armed player from the side. My second mistake, was trying to hold him up instead of shooting him straight off for having his weapon drawn. He turned around without saying a word and shot me with a mp-133. I managed to get a few hits on him with my repeater but he downed me quickly with the shotgun. Then he killed Jack. From the death screen we could hear the two players talking to each other, and it turns out that the Freshspawn was Adam. He got lucky and spawned close by us and also managed to find an armed player who agreed to help him hunt us. What we did was a blatant act of banditry which is something I don't normally do, but on occasion I like ot change things up. We had fun doing it and that's all we cared about. So to the man with the MP-133, congrats. You successfully hunted and killed two Cultists. And to Adam, Even though the server didn't state it, you broke New Life Rule by coming back. Nonetheless Thanks for giving us one of our best encounters in standalone.

I know XD and I'll remember that next time we go about spreading this. The main and probably only reason we went this direction with it this time was because we were both about to die of starvation. But we were hunted by one of the ones we killed before the meat was even finished cooking. Karma at it's finest. Overall I'll remember that.

See in my opinion it would just make it better if you were able to rotate items. But having a pocket system would be glorious and i've talked to some friends about it in the past

I've always sorta just imagined that's how it worked, to the point where I wouldn't pick up a large weapon until I had a backpack. But it would be hella nice to be able to strap a couple chemlights to your backpack at night ^^

I've always imagined the gun or melee being strapped to my backpack. Whenever I'm a fresh spawn I won't pick up a weapon until I have one, unless its something small that can fit in my pockets Like a knife or screwdriver. This would be really cool to do

I believe this is just an issue with the connection or it could be the game in general. I have this issue as well and my internet connection isn't the best, but my Friend has a good internet connection and his server list works fine. I wish it didn't work that way but it is what it is I guess.

Was this on experimental? Edit: That was a stupid question. The loot respawning that's being tested is hella buggy atm, causing loot to spawn even if loot's already there. Ive seen piles of junk loot in the middle of buildings because of it.

Hey, The guy has his opinion. I love Aesthetics. Most of my DayZ wishlist consist of things that don't do much but look really nice. This is a nice Aesthetic I'd like to see. Maybe as a new out-of-combat animation or something?

It's in the "Ongoing issues" section at the top of the Update post, friend. But I will admit to it being a lot nicer than being able to just one shot a zed and get on with it. I've definitely been more on my toes so to speak. Especially at night.

Thermal sights is an absolute no-go, most likely never going to happen. Some of these seem a bit CoD-esque in my opinion, and things like night sights could maybe be more of a variation instead of an attachment?

I actually like this idea, Really nice this is. Be great to be able to have a bow as well as a rifle. Fortunately (or unfortunately, whichever you prefer) it's a bug that's making the whole 'Melee kills need to be a headshot' thing. I do think they're working on balancing out the melee regardless so this idea is still a could be thing. We shall see c: (I remember you had the ability to do this exactly in the most recent update for the mod, which I absolutely loved.)

Ok, I'm tracking these guys down because they are a group of amazing people. So this is to anyone who was on the [TG] clan Hardcore server around this time, and you were among the Group spreading the love of Shrek (Probably around 12 players) Please reply to this. Because I love you all. I'll post a few screenshots My friend in the group took soon. But this was by FAR the best moment I've had in DayZ. Well once Physics are Pushed to stable We'll all just be able to throw practically anything. Kitchen knives, combat Knives Bayonets, Hell even the Fire axes can be thrown. If Chernarus never acquires Tomahawks, It's alright. (although it would be cool) Because we can improvise things that can do just as well.

My first (and only) press vest came out of a police station somewhere I can't remember the name of. I walked outside, got hit by a zombie and bled out because lack of bandages or a shirt i could rip up.

I don't know if this has been brought up before (it probably has) but what if first person was made so that, for example, when you put on sunglasses it tinted your view a bit and brings down the god-rays a bit. Or when you're wearing a helmet your hearing and voice is muffled and you can sort of see the outline of the visor around the screen, Same for the gas mask only with full hearing. I was just thinking this would be a neat little thing in the game and can add advantages as well as disadvantages into the game based on the heard gear you're wearing.

So I told some friends about my recent experience in Dayz. (I went through this life as friendly as possible, handgun in my pants and axe in my bag. no rifle no visible weapons.) And it worked out. Though I got held up twice. The first time I was threatened, had a couple things taken, and sent on my way. The second time was strange, rather than getting threatened I was politely asked to give them all of my food. And again I was sent on my way. My life ended when I went into Balota after a small break in search for Ammunition for my Amphibia. I walked up the stairs of the jail house to find a fully kitted player laying prone at the top of the steps with an M4 aimed at me. I was dead before I even heard the shots. The reason I explained all this is it made me think. Both accounts I was Robbed of my gear, but only the final one was I murdered for no reason. So my question is: What/Who do you consider a "Bandit"? I'm curious as to what people say.

These were the first and only two times I've ever been held up. I've always wanted to be but never have until now. I was actually really excited strangely enough.
