You were doing a nice job but miss the point with all the high advanced new military vehicles and super expensive cars realism is everything, they don't fit there But some civilians you pointed are really good suggestions... Sometimes I wonder how nice would be playing dayz with cars developted at a simulation level and with terrain interaction... I've never try this "Spin Tires" game but the screenshots are beautiful, and it's Russian but really reminds me Chernarus sometimes... Well, I got an internet problem on Dayz. In about 4~5 times I refresh the server list, it crashes my internet. Detail: if I'm on TS or skype, those will countinous connected, but the internet will take about five minutes to work properly again (I just wait, no need to exit the game, but it sucks). Searching on the internet I've found some threads about this problem been related to a bad router + excessive connections responses. Well, I don't use a "my" router, it's just the moden that comes with the internet company that happen to be a router, and that is what I use here. Do I really need another modem? I really consider this a really inconvenient when playing the game... So, from my problem to yours... You don't seen to have your internet crash on the server list, right? Well, I belive if you join a server and your internet crashes for the same reason it crashes on the server list, the game will keep you connected (has skype or ts do proppery) but with the yellow connection icon on the game, and it will react pretty much has the lag you are reporting. turn objects detail to very low ambient inclusion off post process off but the objects detail is the most important for citys, make a huge difference textures, terrain, all this stuff you can set very high without fps drop

Low fov is bad Even with a 42'' tv and 1920x1080 I leave the fov on FIEL"D" OF VIEW less than that the game looks like some shitty fps game, cs/pb with those "pro" tipps settings (lame) to get a cheat camera I would only reduce that having triple monitors, otherwise I don't belive should actually change it... (for third person doenst look worst, just more far, but in first person your neck isnt more far!!!!) -

I belive that the player should moving in the same speed that with the weapon ready-to-fire (futher for the no-crosshair) while using the iron sight/optics. Keep the accurancy with moving fast while aiming shitty as the crosshair moving fast, but we would be able to use the shift to move slowly when we wanna shoot. Arma 3 works like this and I belive it's an advance. Even Arma 2 you can move faster or slowly while aiming using the shift if I aint wrong. Sorry if it got confused, but you guys get me? Basically when you right click to aim the char moves to slowly, they should move faster and in that speed when you hold shift. PS: 1st person player only -
btw they need to fix the fist-sprinting, survivals dont run like that breaks immersion

same issue with dayz standalone... -
set objects quality very low (on the dubky buildings this is a massive fps difference) ambient inclusion off post process off (or very low if there is no off options, cant remember) this should help your dayz run without fps drops

I agree with you, but since the engine is "the same" it's worth the enffort to keep the combat realistic has the military simulator it came from, also that was one of the aces of dayz, not the "military" stuff has the AS50 (that doesnt fit the game at all) or for the KOS, but on how arma 2 is awesome in combat gameplay... Wich continous a part of the dayz "civilian survival" aspect you said... has the beautiful combats between le enfields and ak74 on the mod and what made dayz solid because was Arma 2 -
[Suggestion] implement the Arma 3 Stance system

Dayz movement is kind of a try-to-be evolution of Arma 2 with some important Arma 3 concepts... like running with your weapon ready to fire BUT it's not well polish, if you are running fast with your weapon not raised in arma 3 and do a right click to aim you can still move fast, than hold a key to run slowly with your weapon. In dayz when you aim you just got an stable aim but move very slow (but you can use your crosshair to aim and shoot still movement fast?)... Should stay fast while aim, but not stable at all.. and if you press shift you do it slowly... Don't know you if you guys are with me, but I hope so, really feel a lack of work on the movements especially for first person gamers looking for simulation, not arcade "smoothness" but has I sayed I still belive the movements of the character and even combat is better on Arma 2 (especially with ace but vanilla too), and much better in Arma 3. {kind-offtopic} I've selected the tester version on steam and updated to 3899 but I can't a find a single server of this version! Any guests? Thanks! -

I actually do belive the character in first person feels smother on arma 2 and arma 3 than on standalone. This system of "running with the weapon ready to fire" is 10 times worst than the arma 3 (that one is pretty good). I agree it's a "miss" on arma 2 but the way it was implemented in the engine isnt fluid as I would espectate. Also imo the "direction" the player goes when you press "W+D" is in such bad angle, kind "static", I do preffer how it feel on arma 2. I belive with a little bit of tweaking all those features could be implemented and turn into a very good thing... but for now I feel it's less realistic than Arma 2 vanilly or especially with ACE mod.
