Sure, and continuing with this business mind set, would you want a bad name for your gaming company such as "doesn't go past alpha"? They already made their money on this game but their reputation is at stake. 2 million people who may have never bought a game from these guys have been waiting for this release for months. Failing to deliver on this would have a much worse impact on their business than giving up and cashing out now would. I know I would never buy another game by these developers if they never full released, let alone not making it past alpha. The bar is pretty high and they need to impress people with their games for future releases.

i LOVE svetlo. i'd rather spawn there than shitty balota. Get on a low pop server and a svetlo spawn you're end game geared in like 30 minutes.

Gonna start by pointing out you're an idiot. While we were all very impatiently waiting I was beginning to lose interest in the idea of a Standalone. I knew if there wasn't at least a release date I was going to lose interest all together and never buy it. This game is NOT playable no matter what you fan boys say about it. I enjoy the game and have fun playing but I really wish they would have just waited. Given a solid, official release date, such as maybe June 2014 would have been nice.

Been having trouble logging in today. Sorry if this is a known issue, don't see anything in the search function. The game boots up fine and I can see my character in the main menu. Server list refreshes and populates correctly, but when I select a server my screen is black with "Wait for host". I've tried a handful of different servers. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks! P.S. Last played was a few days ago and everything worked fine

No, I can't get into a server with less than 10 at all. And anytime I actually get into a server (usually 10+) within 5 minutes I am kicked because "Battleye failed to update"

I'm getting the same issue. Has been happening to me since yesterday. I've tried reinstalling twice now and that didn't work for me :/. Some comfort in knowing it's not just me though I guess.

The nonsense that goes on in general discussion leads to the admins being tied up I think. Lets raise hell and general bafoonery in this section as to draw attention and find some soltuons! Lol

Anyone got any more ideas on how to fix my problem? I've tried the suggestion steak linked to and I've installed/uninstalled the game twice now. Am I really just out of luck on playing?

Lol, probably actually. I've always thought it was drastically unrealistic how much little loot there is. But it would be boring if it would be as easy as real life. I like the challenge

First person servers are already dying off. You guys really should have waited to cry and moan about it until the game was fully released. They won't even make it past Alpha. First person just feels so unnatural and doesn't capture the entire beauty and point of this game. Any time I played on a "hardcore" server it seemed the best thing to do to avoid being shot was just run circles around someone. While that works most of the time in 3pp as well, it is infinitely and unrealistically more effective in first person only. Both perspectives need some serious work, it's alpha we know, but as it is first person < third person. Inevitably first person servers will die a slow and painstaking death just as they did in the mod :)

A little knowledge: http://www.angio.net/personal/climb/speed Using that calculator a 2 story building is about 7 meters. Weighing 90 kg your impact speed would be about 11 m/s. That is equal to ~ 25mph. Depending on your landing platform damage would be nearly nothing on a soft landing (grass) and maybe some scrapped knees/bruises/fractured bones on a hard surface such as cement. Saying it's because your character is toting around a backpack full of gear is irrelevant. If you want to play that game I would LOVE to see the games mechanics actually take into affect characters weight when calculating impact speed and damage as a result.

My brother is 12 and I built him a PC (from spare parts laying hither and tither) and it can run any of the newest games (including dayZ) I can't build an Xbone with old Xbox 360 parts. Common knowledge? As in its common to you? It's ignorant to think that "young people" would ruin a game in the first place. The younger you are the better you are at video games generally. You old folks loose reaction timing with age. So I guess if you're just afraid of getting killed relentlessly you have a valid point. Edit: ALSO try going to google and typing in "gaming PC" you'll find results for any price range that can play most new games.

Game needs a suicide option for this reason. His character has an axe on his back, why can't he slit his wrists and just be over with it? If my new life consisted of being trapped under a rock i'd probably decide to kill my self before eaten by zombies in a few days and starving to death in the mean time

But in all seriousness, we should just completely get rid of zombies in this game IMO. It would be so much more fun if there were no zombies. people wouldn't KOS as much because it would be a little bit easier to get loot. you'd still have to feed and water your character and stuff obviously, but just get rid of the zombies.
