  1. I got "sick" last night. And was on the brink of death before I was cured. I'm not exactly sure, how I got sick. I think it was from a Zombie attack. Could have been from drinking from a well (which currently says pond) I drank a lot of water. So much that threw up all my food and started "starving" I love this game. So I could have gotten sick from that too I guess. It was all around the same time. The things I tried to do to cure myself are: Antibiotics, I was lucky enough to find and take a whole package of them. Vitamins, two bottles... found a cooking stove, turned it on and sat beside it in a closed house ( sitting inside is supposed to raise your temp) sprinting long distances and long times (also supposed to raise your temp) I did all of these things in random orders. Run for a while, sit inside for a while, run again, take some vitamins, eat, drink, repeat. occasionally it would say "my wounds feel cleaner" in green. So I kept doing everything. I got a few of those messages before it finally said "My sickness is cured!" or something like that. Im glad I didn't give up. At one point I thought to myself, this is the end. I might as well sit here and let myself die. I can't do anything about this. And I'm too far, and it's too late for me to respawn and make it all the way back to my body for this sweet gear. My vision was so blurry I couldnt read my compass. I didn't know which way to go. But then I decided to keep trying, until death. But I got cured from just trying everything I could try. I love DayZ.
  2. Hey all, (You can skip to the questions below if you dont want to read this) I got the DayZ mod in its very early days of release. When most of the play videos were still figuring out things like "running on the road is really loud" I stopped playing after a few months and switched to some of the other map mods and havent really played DayZ since. I know my way around Chernarus fairly well still though. Amazing what things you retain. I bought the DayZ SA on day one, and so far Ive been loving it. I have a few basic questions I can't find answers for as they seem faily specific. Eating rotten food. Does this REALLY have a negative effect? I ate it once, and not long after went unonscious (then just respawned as it stayed unconscious a while) , but that was before the visual thirst/huner/bleeding indicators in your inventory. So Im sure I more than likely went unc. from thirst or hunger. My friends are very new to it, and have eaten some rotten food. They ask me what I should do about it, and I say...well. Kill yourself and start over....Because I dont know if it does have a real negative effect, or if its just a warning that you've eaten something bad. The wiki says, it reduces your water level a bit. Is that it?? What are the negative effects of eating rotten fruit, and how do you cure it if theres a need. (ie: water loss, which you can replenish by drinking water) When I drink from a well, it says I drank from a lake. Is it safer to drink from a well, than it is from a lake or does the same quality of water spawn from a well, as does from a lake? If I get sick from lake/fountain water how do I fix it? Antibiotics?

    None that I've seen.

    Mouse aceleration

I just ended up turning my X sensitivity to almost 0. Not exactly a fix, but it was much better for me. Much easier to walk through a door now :)

Food and Drink timer too short

Haha, I like that you can't say anything without people calling "Alpha" Whats the point of Alpha, if he can;t offer constructive criticism? It didnt read as bitching. I agree. You shouldn't DIE (or go unconscious, which at this point is pretty much the same thing) after a few hours of no food or water. Even if you have been running a lot. I'd be thirsty for sure. I'm fine with the scarcity of loot, but I think thirst and hunger should reflect more real world time, or have less drastic an effect, like, shaking or blurred vision because you're hungry or thirsty. IT'S IN ALPHA DONT SAY ANYTHING!!!
