    Sorry but youre suggesting an american style common weapon on a Warsaw Pact region? IF anyone would use a lever action weapon in Warsaw Pact region, then it would be SOME rich people (not all), coz they would like to see what kinda feel it has. and therefore the gun has no place in the game at all.

    First off; The developers finally should implement to the game a story as background story... Why is a background story needed? well it is simply needed for the reason why NATO issued gear is available in Russian sector at all ( Im not talking about legal sold weapons which is available if you got enough money to buy, at least you can buy a m4, Steyr Aug and some other NATO issue weapons in Kazakhstan I'm talking about NATO issue weapons which exist in SA right now but has actually no meaningful explanation why the heck NATO issue weaponry and gear is being able to achieve on a Warsaw Pact territory) Secondly; After the background story has been cleared out and explained why there are NATO bases at Russian or Warsaw Pact region, then we can begin to add the weapons... But the most important thing to the matter is that the Warsaw Pact weapons should always be in majority and more to access than NATO issue weapons and ammo (NATO issue ammo should really be rare in my opinion, coz 5,56 is not a caliber supported by the Warsaw Pact mostly, just the AK 12 AEC-9711 can be modified to accept 5,56 but Russia mostly uses 5.45 for that case. So it is mainly illogical to find 5.56 issue ammo all around... it only should be in specific military bases or specific airfields like NW airfield which has been turned into temporary NATO base of operations and so on. The airstrips should not have NATO issue gear or weapon instead Warsaw Pact issue weaponry) Third; Like I said the most of the gear which is to be found should be Warsaw Pact issue, therefore if you go to the police station or in some Warsaw pact military base you should more likely find those weapons Im gonna list For Pistols; TT- Tokarev PM-Makarov MP-443 Grach MP446 "viking" PB- (its actually a Macarov with silencer) Shotguns; Bekas-M MP-133 MTs-255 (Modular you can attach scope too) RMB-93 Saiga12 or Saiga Tactica Assault Rifle's; AN-94 (modular scope and other stuff can be added) AEK-9711 AK-47 AK 12 there are more to add but I leave it for now... Those guns will keep the developers (if they really intend to implement them) busy enough all Warsaw Pact issue guns and all quite available throughout Russia.

    Weapon / ammo / loot spawning?

    First thing is; the game has no " re spawn " feature yet. The servers get restartet every few hours and then the items are fresh and so on. Second thing is; the problem of your inability to find even food in areas which is " already " searched out many times is like said before... you simply try to find food at some place where people already looked at, like cherno, elektro, kamenka, kamoshovo or like that... you wont find in those areas any food or even low grade guns simply because those places are already looted, so you should not waste your time going and looking those areas, you should immediately plan a route more inland and move out. Third thing is; There is no static spawn point for guns as I see for now (which actually should in my opinion. I think it is totally unlogical and unrealistic to find NATO caliber weapons at police stations or non military areas... hell the area is actually Russian so there should be more russian issue weapons than NATO issue weapons at all.. the game developers didnt gave any explanation why there have been NATO forces at all.. the only thing is, that the day z modder has taken over the Arma 2 map and then just modded and represented the game as apocalyptic horror survival with zombies. Ok nothing against the zombies and the post apocalyptic world but to take over the whole map and not even explaining why there were NATO forces on that map and where all those forces has gone to. ( I mean has the infection spread to the whole world? or is it just a contamination on the island?) well whatever this is another topic for another discussion.

    The idea of maintaining gear and clothing should be implemented into this game in my opinion. That just for the simple reason that this game is about a survival simulation rather than FPS. so if your clothing gets into bad conditions you should be able to fix them in various ways. For that reason they should implement, weapon care kits and needle and sew kits to improve the game play. Of course they should made the weapon and clothing spawns as much rare as possible too, we are in a apocalyptic world after all right? This really would bring the value and the status of clothing/weaponry more into consideration. People would be more considerate into shooting, or risking them into situations which would lead into their gear being damaged and therefore it would bring more survival flair into the game. This way pristine items or worn items become much more valuable and people try to keep them in good condition. That would bring many factors into the game play too I think (more depth actually). I have mentioned my idea in another topic too but in my opinion the developers should restrict pockets to item sizes too. Like that you just can fit small items (like handcuff, medicine, flashlight ) into the pockets of jeans/hoodies/ttsko upper part/camouflage upper part/tactical shirts and so on. And that you can fill bean cans (just 1 in each pocket) like into the side pockets of a hunter pants/ttsko pants/cargo pants and so on coz they have sidepockets which would be able to take such thing.

Yo hi all fellow survivors! how ya been so far? :D For long time I had actually some idea, that I would like to share with you all, my fellow survivors (and murderers of course ;) how could I even forget about you, you make such an effort not to be forgotten B) ) Well the thing is I readed long time the forums and was thinking about it like " what could I do to enhance such a game with big potential?" Well I readed the forums, I readed the suggestions (for example the one with the winter base and so on was totally awesome) and then I thought what I could add to all these... And now I would like to introduce to you my fellow players my ideas for the game, so you can approve or disapprove... Well where to begin with... hmmmm... ok I guess I explain a bit for the in game dynamic for example. As the world it is right now, it looks like that there are no organizations, no military directed bases which is operative and can be a shelter for people or survivors alike, and there are no organizations like " the Khans" from Fallout for example (I don't know if any of you have played fallout or not)... I mean there are a bunch of people just randomly running around the huge area, where the humanity totally and magically seems to be eradicated, and you and just some people " survived " this shit and now those guys are running around and trying to " survive " a hostile world. Well that didnt made any sense to me. Yea I like the idea of post apocalyptic world, but there should be " atleast " some guarded islands of hope where people can seek shelter. I mean ok, there will be huge amounts of zombies in the coming future, maybe there will even be zombie hordes, that will roam the place from one city to the others or so (would be a cool idea though) and in the middle of this there should be some sanctuaries that would help people to survive all this horror, or that they could at least seek some shelter for a while. Maybe even let themselves treated (like bitten from zombie, or infected from a zombie, or just got the infection somehow and that you do not have the means normally to cure yourself and you need to get to a specialized base to get yourself cured, or otherwise you die because of the infection and turn into a zombie by yourself.) I don't know how many of you played Fallout, or S.T.A.L.K.E.R but those 2 games were really good examples for " how a survival game should be " Soooo thinking like all that I became some ideas inspired by those called games.And here are my suggestions. The game developers could implement a way into the game where you can gain some kind of " fame " for 2 different Factions. The first Faction is a military issued camp which is actually out here to bring "law and order by their means" and " to study the infection " so they have build their base of operation for example south of Balota airstrip (you know where I mean ;) ) And they have another base of operations north of Kamenka (military base) The second faction is a " private corporation" who looks for their own agenda and is " not that strict " about law and order... so they do not shut out murderers/convicts so easily as long those guys " serve their purpose" which is actually to gather foothold on the land for the corporation, which means to enhance the underground base where the corporation is directing his operations, drive out the military guys if possible and to get the company some "specimen's" (zombies ;) ) in order to get some data for their research... Sooo clothing for those camps can be different, The military issued camp can have more NATO kinda issue clothing's rather than the private corporation which doesn't care about the clothing at all, or that you can use the regional camouflage like ttsko or like that... (that might help the outfit issue for a while maybe) Besides all of those 2 camps you can hang around like a lone wolf too so you don't need to join any of them, but you can cooperate with them to a degree.. like independent mercs or whatever you might call... or just independent survivors, but you can have access to their base or services to a specific degree... What would this all accomplish? Well this would accomplish the following things 1- you have about 3 factions, where you can decide law&order but military wise, or join the corporate with its in distinctive cohort like murderers and convicts and bla bla... just to make things work... or you'rethe lone wolf who just would work as long as it suits him or herself. 2-because of the 3 faction dividing, you can distinct people more easily, like that the guys with good fame at the corporation would be attacked on sight by the military expeditions. ( yea those who join sides cant expect to walk into the others base like nothing) 3- it gives some in depth story for the game 4- you can even take missions from those parties like " recapture the north west airfield for the military/corporation until the resupply plane comes in and brings supplies for all survivors" 5-that would bring the opportunity that players have some purpose in the game rather than roaming aimlessly around and shooting people on sight... and that goes so on... you just need to think what such a factor would bring into the game... The corporation might even give some orders to gangs to raid the military base from time to time for example.. just to weaken the foothold of the base. Well all this would actually explain too how NATO issued weapons get into a region of warshaw pact and so on. that leads to my second suggestion... Well as you might know.. in the current state of character generation. you just open one character who is able to do almost everything like mending broken bones, to heal injured people from weapon wounds or infections and bla bla, while having the accuracy of a trained soldier and have by the same time the mechanical skills of a master mechanic. Well that just sounded pretty nonsense to me.. So I thought that the developers could implement the following thing into the game so the game becomes more interesting and which would force people more to interact with another rather than bashing their skulls. The developers should implement the classes system, where for example 3 classes exist, like, Soldier, Doctor and Mechanic. The Doctor and the Mechanic should be civil ones so that we keep their accuracy low but they can perform their skills which would make them invaluable for any party. Well the Soldier is obvious.. the tank of the group but he is also the jar head who could not be able to administer a saline bag to a friend without strangling him/her out. What brings all this into the game? 1- well it would add in depth into game 2-more reality factor 3- classes would be invaluable and therefore people had to interact with each other rather than KoS aimlessly 4-classes would bring the factor of survival into the game that is needed. Because the game is about survival :D 5- right now every single character is like a genius which would be able to do any kinda shit without any problem which is totally bullshit in my opinion. You cant know how much medicine to give without the knowledge... yea you can administer some aspirine but how do you know the person does have some infection or just fever? You got what I mean ;) Well all things like that... it would bring hell of a game play and some purpose into the game. Which would lack if it continues to be like this.
  7. That's what I meant and you totally pointed out... It can be done like in S.T.A.L.K.E.R too... just that there are bases which is neutral to all, and would dealings with anybody but you're on your own in the wilderness again (the example of the ship in call of pripyat is a good example) The way as it is now is really dull and after a while the game does not give any purpose anymore... I'm already bored to death although there is shooting like hell. But the thing is it doesn't feel like a survival game anymore, more it feels like a bastardization of a survival game into mindless massacre and pointless killing. At least if there would be some factions, then all this PVP would have some understandable background and logic.

    [Suggestion] New Animation Ideas

    I had some similar ideas like yours... For example I had the idea that you actually couldnt use "slots" on clothing to put for example a 300 bullet box into it, or first aid kit, or the big cans like beans or spaghetti. In my opinion that totally derives the reality of the situation... so people go stockpiling items all around. I had the idea that people would be able to put stuff according to the "real life capacity" a clothing has... For example; The side pockets of a camouflage trouser can hold up, up to the size of bean cans, but not bigger. So anything that would be like handcuffs, medicament,small tuna cans,fruit and so on would fit into it. When the trouser is full then the pockets should look like its full, but if the pockets are empty or half empty it should show according like... Same goes for the shirt/upper camo/hoodie/tactical shirt ect.... you have 2 pockets at your breast, 2 waist pockets (differs on other camo's not every camo has waist pockets) and you have 2 small pockets at your shoulders... so that should give you the possibility to put " small items" into that pockets like handcuffs, or medicament's or like that... the assault Wests should be separated socket wise (2 sockets each for example but not combined), not every assault west can hold double magazines for example... there should be special assault Wests for it. The Wests should have different kind of uses, for example the Tactical West http://dayz.gamepedia.com/File:Tactical_Vest_DayZee.png should give you a piece of protection while it gives you choices of 2 big pouches for big magazines (60 ammo mags or equivalent size of item) , 2 medium size magazines (30 or 40 round or equivalent size of item) , 2 pistol magazine pouch, and a pouch where you can put some shotgun ammo... This kind of West would be more suitable for people with a range for medium to close quarters The Blue Press West http://dayz.gamepedia.com/Blue_Press_Vest would be a temporary protection and would provide you 3 pouches for small sized mags like 20 round or 10 round mags or equivalent size of item. İt would give you some fair protection and some place to put things in just to your choice.you might put shotgun shells instead mags too if you want... up to you. The UK Assault west http://dayzintel.com/dayz-item-crafting/assault-vest would give you 4 big slots for big magazines (60 round or equivalent size). and 2 small slots (20,10 rounds mags or equivalent size of item) it would not give the protection like the Tactical west but it would give you the variety to choose what to do. They should implement leg holsters which are bonded to leg too, but then for you shouldn't be able to use the pocket on that leg for example because you just binded the holster to that leg. well things like that would make the game experience more realistic and people would be forced to think more than just stuffing items in every slot. And if possible the game developers should implement of carrying weight into the game... so bigger backpacks would mean more items to stuff but the character would move more slower and would be more encumbered when doing action while proning (in fact some backpacks should totally hinder you to go prone and hinder you to aim at that position and so on... ) and as last I think it really is totally unrealistic when you have your ammo magazine in your backpack and you can reload seamlessly... that is physically impossible in the first case. So they should implement the fact that you should be able to switch the magazines which are in your reach in first case and for that the assault west is the best option first case... the further the magazine is the longer it should take to reload the weapon... if the magazine is in the backpack the person should first take the backpack off and then try to take the magazine... Its just totally unrealistic that you can reach your backpack without even taking it off and opening it.

    [Suggestion] New Animation Ideas

    just tell me how you manage to bandage yourself while lying down on the floor? I really wanna do see you doing this. The reason is it is not possible... you cannot bandage your leg while you're lying, or you cannot bandage your shoulder or torso wound while laying down... actually you shouldn't be able to do this at all while in such condition. Ever catched a bullet into your torso? no offense but I really would be more than surprised if you got the possibility to bandage yourself in such a shock status, or worse. you just wanna get such feat because you get shot while being prone and you don't wanna get shot again but the bleeding forces you to at least crouch to bandage yourself (which I think is totally unrealistic itself but I cant interfere to this fact, the developers have to figure it themselves)

The idea is solid, and actually could be implemented by the factor of the status " infected " if you get infected somehow and then die your character gets up as zombie again... your loot? well if you can kill your old body you can have it back :D would be quite a nice feat in my opinion... and unique too
  11. Well there are many ways to implement this into game... Like you become an ID Tag from the Military faction when you join them, or that you become a bar-code behind your neck when you join the corporation or so, and that it becomes unremovable or like that (or it could be hided in some way but you need to do it somehow) the important thing here is that, people get the idea that not everything is gone and forsaken and about to get extinct... that you can have some purpose in the game. Because otherwise this game will just become mindless wandering around and kill people you see and so on. This way people will not to tend KoS (rather in contrary, it will drop the KoS drastically I think) because they can at least see on which side you are or, what your allegiance is. So you can expect what comes or not...but you also can expect that someone from the opposite faction might wait in ambush somewhere to get to you. it has multiple possibilities for you, which will open itself gradually if implemented. From convoy raids to base raids, to take over bases as to retake bases and so on. And you try to survive between all that... not to mention that there is a pure good or pure evil, it is all a matter of point of sight... Some people don't like the strict and self righteous military way, some don't like the way of the criminals at all, some just wont even join any of both but is willing to cooperate with them to some degree... this will open huge possibilities I think
  12. I have suggested that the classes, Doctor, Mechanic and soldier should be implemented... I think this way it would be much more better than the way it is now. This would help you people being professional medics in game as well I think. there should be differencies in professions which has been choosen

    Hello too :D you got some point but that just makes the grass option in the game obsolete... it has no use at all so why implementing them at all then? just make a texture to the ground and leave at it... it always has ways to affect your way of rendering... for example... if you look without any Google's,binoculars and so on, the grass texture might not be seen in order to keep the rendering quality... but when you use the binocular, Google then the game motor shows you the grassland as it would show you the grass in normal when you would look around... so that would not try to keep your rendering motor in constant heavy work... this way the grass is only a hindrance for those who go prone, but can be seen by anyone else, who is afar and in ambush... most people don't even realize this until it is too late.

You people go in and decide yourself after reading the suggestion.
  15. Like I said to the other friend above... the idea of "players" doing such things is on the long road physically impossible. Because the need of protection is always there and you cant expect from people to stay on the pc for 24/7. So a base which actually implies such services would be welcome from pro players and newbie players alike. having trade is a good feat, that would encourage hardcore players to go out and risk into places where normal people would not to or would not be able to due to the lack of personal. So there always could be scavenging teams which can offer services and which would in the end give the game more in depth rather than the dullnes it is now.

The fact of infection should allways be implemented. otherwise the zombies are no threat other than some horde which would just nab on you if you get too close.. and I can handle a whole city with just an axe with the proper approach. it is totally unrealistic that in such a world, where there is by no means any power who would try to contaminate the region in some way... if the whole world is down like this, then it is already totally pointless to try to stay alive.. what do you wanna do? build up a new civilization with just 40 people from scratch? (assuming they are all friendly which are not as we all know) I guess you believe in Adam and Eva sleep stories too? as we see right now, in the current way the game it is, the people will by no means try to build up any place where people can be safe... another physically impossible thing just because people have to watch over the town 24/7 which is totally nonsense because it is a game after all and people cant stay at the pc forever... they have to do business in real life too you know ;) So basically a base which is protected by NPC and who gives you then and when some job offer where you actually can "serve a purpose" is much better than aimlessly roaming around and then killing people just because you cant risk to trust them.

    they better should add that you see the grassland at far distances too.. this way no grassland has any use in the game because after 75 meters any kind of grassland magically disappears... so the player might actually "think" that he/she is hidden but actually is not at all

    How Health Regen Works

    Ok here is my experience and the experience with the folks Im tagging along. The health regeneration does not work as we see... or it is server sided... I am saying this because no server in which we have played so far made me or our mates regenerate health after health loss... To the question to administer saline... Well you need a friend to do that for you... and so far the saline bag is the only solution to get some health back as I see... or you take some blood from your friend and give him back... dunno it works to a degree as I see (its a bug I think coz someone should not get better after taken blood and given the same blood back, you actually don't gain anything at all)

    if the 1st person is not realistic in their opinion then they should sit on the PC and write a code which makes it look like realistic... its quite fine now as it is... and like I posted before, a human does not have 180 degree seamless sight... you actually have about 60 degree clear sight and the rest falls under peripheral sight and gets blurr the more it stays on the edge... so you actually just can catch up movement or things likte that but you cannot see a focused clear view for 180 degree... and to the fact that some people say "yea you have eye reflexes and so on..." it still takes some seconds that you adjust your eyers and you still need to focus on the thing you think you have seen. So your sight is still 60 degree but the course has changed nothing else.. For my opinion the 1st person camera is quite ok as it is now. The thing is that those people just want the easy way around and that they do not want any challenges or use their brains at all... For the people with motion sickness... well the explanations has been given... and by the way... if you get motion sickness just from watching to the monitor while the character moves and so on.. the 3rd person camera should not give you any better relief coz there the motion still continues on.

    your comment is obsolete and baseless... it IS an exploit to the FACT that you can see an area (while crouching behind a wall, or if you are on the corner of a building and you just watch from the corner if the area is free or not, which you NEVER would be able normally) which you actually shouldn't when you don't stick your head out...What does that mean? it means, that you actually do something which is physically not possible at all normally. And this game, is normally BASED to reality factors like, hunger, thirst, real world conditions and all that... You say you accept all those facts but you don't accept the fact that 3rd person camera is unrealistic huh?... it just suits you that you have something now you can exploit and you wouldn't know what to do if it were taken (coz simply given, you just are scared to pop your head around the corner coz you think you might get the bullet.Because this is exactly what you do aren't ya? you ambush people from places where you stay safe and you exploit this feat in order to get people) just tell me how you do that in real life?... can you? no... so it IS an exploit actually... the game gives you the freedom to use this, I even don't understand the developers why they do so, but I leave it to them.

    Do you agree with modding in SA?

    In my opinion, any mods or add ons which is thought to be implemented should be "cosmetical" dunno how thats goin to work. BUT if the add on or mod is going to help you by shooting, or gives you a crosshair in veteran mode or such kinda things. I am totally against it.
  25. The factor Pristine, Worn, Damaged, Badly Damaged, Ruined does not work at the moment my friend. I use a m4 with badly damaged parts and it has the same accuracy with a pristine one. A damaged butt stock does not affect the damage of the gun at all, in fact it only should affect the aiming and the trajectory of the shot nothing else. To the topic of ruined ammo... well you might nor realized it, but if you put the ruined ammo into the clip and then empty the clip then you will realize that the ruined ammo turns into pristine ammo back... so the game engine still is not able to distinct between the damage factors... in fact, if you use the long range scope for the mosin, you will realise that the picture does not change at all even if the scope is badly damaged or pristine... you get the same view trough that scope... but its not the same with m4 scopes for example. So being in alpha release I think there are tons of things to work on... and therefore dont bother it all for the moment.
