kukri and melee weapons mechanics

Sadly that isn't an actual gurkha kukri... it's just some knockoff that coldsteel made. Real ones have a blood grove and blood drip on them. As for putting in the game... maybe, I really don't want to see it in the game unless it is done well, and considering there aren't that many people trained with them, I would rather just see a knife. -

Headlamp or pistol/torch dual wield?

the head lamp is a pretty good idea, but I would say it'd be super rare. dual weld... sorry can't support this. If you'd shot a gun you'd know it's hard enough, shooting two while actually trying to hit something... not so much. -
issues with both blood trail and used shells... it takes memory to store all that stuff. It may slow down the game. Given the other options, I prefer something else. But good idea. :)

"Then you go and totally unbalance the game buy making zombies more tough lol" Infected were actually too easy before, people would literally run past them. Once you learned how the game was over. "People are allready loosing interest because of these changes." I just wanted to address this - make sure you say 'I' am losing interest. You are not speaking for me or many others.

Let's not and say we did. :) I'm not grilling you the design decisions had a lot to do with the rampant pvp that was occurring, which killed the original nature of the mod. -
With the new LOS infected... I wonder if it is possible to get's smookie's animations to jump over walls? For those don't know.

Roshi, it was just Smookie's pvp animations... didn't really have a name. And Yeah, I think they hired Smook as his BIS tag has BI dev on it.

I think the intent is that you are motivated to go to a town and learn how to sneak around zombies, learn to throw cans/bottles as this will help you through the rest of the game.

To address the realism argument, to make any game more difficult you just have to make it more like life and therefore realistic. This is always true as life is the most difficult thing you know. As for realism in games, this is impossible. You want to make it feel authentic, as rocket stated. The reason is you can feel authentic emotions in a game that is not realistic. Since we, as humans, can't make a game that currently addresses realism, we shoot for authentic. -
Issues with this: - death beaches occurring again - player respawn counts being out of control (until they got with they want) don't get me wrong, it's a cool idea, but with the level of crazy that could happen, it's probably not worth it.

So, mechanics wise, zombies are not all that threatening unless they are in huge packs. Huge packs = more CPU and more CPU equals slow game. Also, without the threat of infected, the death matching complaints come back in full and we have to invent a new solution for that.
