After exploring a lot fo the map I have to say I am kinda board with it to. Right now its just fun to team up with a few friends and terrorize balota. Most people tend to play along and doing silly shit like taking their blood till they die or handcuffing them and force feeding them stuff is quite hilarious still. The hostages tend to role play too which is the best part, they sometimes are quite hilarious. After my literal trip around the whole border of the map last weekend I don't see myself going outside balota until new content is added and there is a reason for me to go elsewhere.

One of the biggest reasons is time, or lack of it. Sure if i had 4-6 hrs to sit down at one time then yeah meeting up wouldn't be hard at all. However not every one wants to run a character that is all the way up north just to play with a fresh spawn friend. Another one is like what is currently happening. I just went on like a 2 hour trip up north to the north west airfield with 3 friends. We got there, looted it and then took a break. I am eating food, the other guy is doing whatever and 1 of us still wants to play. It would be great for him to have the ability to login to another character and solo it up a bit rather then risking the fully geared one and run around solo with it. It has nothing to do with being unable to coordinate meet ups. Once you get over the Russian words it's very easy to look at maps online and see where you need to go to find each other. Heck even after 10-20 hrs you start to remember spawn locations and routes you take to get places.

I'm brand new dayz and I have to say the play style is really fun. We were doing a airport run from the coast up the far west side of the map. Nearing our destination we had to stop due to a friend saying he hears tornado sirens at his house. So chilling along the road eating my food we hear shots from the city where we just were and decide to set up a ambush. http://www.twitch.tv/current1y/c/3429942 The action stops after I reload so no real need to watch the rest. You can see after my last shot he just disappears while running =/

Lets face it, In general games are more fun when not played solo. I have numerous friends who play but obviously not 247 so I find myself going on epic journeys across the map with 1 person only to find myself wanting to play again when they aren't online but another buddy is. They maybe happen to have a fresh spawn and it would take a few hours to meet up some where potentially. I often find myself wanting to change characters so I can either meet up with them. I understand there could be ramifications to this. One large one would be to using 1 character as a loot mule and storing all the good shit A solution would be to make it so items dropped from character A could not be picked up by character B. Or items dropped from character A aren't visible to character B. Is this a good or bad idea?

Yeah had finally found a daylight server for the first time late last night. Spawned in a fresh character and started looting. Shortly after finding a dead person with tons of loot I got teleported to a random field, all my stuff gone, my character model was changed to a black women and I was surrounded by other black women in their underwear.. I admit after the initial wtf moment even I had to laugh. A friend who was not near me but on the same server said the same thing happened to him at the same time except he said he had his gear. Hopefully they fix that as I wouldn't mind getting more then 20 min on a daylight server tonight.
