Xpadder is free you dont pay for it. Just set WSAD to your joystick and mouse to right stick. takes some configuring but works a treat. I use g13 To control and that also stopped. Had to set it all to WSAD. Anyway, i have added this problem to feedback tracker. http://feedback.dayzgame.com/view.php?id=12762 Lots of people enjoy to play more comfortably, especially in mod, controllers and flight sticks are often used for vehicle control. Here is the link please comment or bump it that you have the same issue i think that helps> I am not sure how the tracker works. It says assigned to Accolyte, hopefully he is a developer coding the controls. If someone more qualified can advise us. But i can see here that some kind of moderator is adding other peoples duplicates back to it. Hopefully they have seen this problem and are working it. It seems like such a small thing to fix, it worked pre 0.45 update, so something changed needs to be put back, as far as controller input concerned.

they'll always be undead zombies to me when I play. i dont care about some lore someone made up. Some poeple say 'rocket' made this lore where the zombies arent even zombies their infected, and my character is immune, and all this bullshit. i called them out saying show me the link then where it was said, No one has come forward with any evidence or links, just a load of opinionated hear say. to me, their zombies, and Z in Day Z stands for zombies. I dont care anymore what someone might have said. Show me the link and I'll believe you.

i dont think it matters much, we are nit picking, no-one i know does this and pretty much all the spawns are on the East Coast now, why would you even bother? You can run either way from East coast to anywhere on the coast such as berezino, NE, Solninchy, max time 15 minutes..If your going south or west it wouldnt really matter unless u spawned at say Svet..I dont see why people would do this or why its such a big deal,especially with the current spawns all in the same east area, there is not much benefit or loss from people doing this. performance should Not be an issue, we have 40 people on the server which can apparantly hold 100, even if they are constantly dying and respawning, the server should handle this perfectly, and if it is not handling it, that is a server/game problem, not the players problem. What if 40 players meet up in one area to trade or deathmatch? The server won't handle it? We have had server crashes from just 10 people making a trade. there is a problem with server reliability and it is not to be blamed on the players just for dying, that is part of the game. Using performance for a reason is not a valid argument in my opinion. The server should handle CONSTANT dying/respawning for over 40 players. That is a problem with your engine not your player.

I have definetly played on servers that had it on, one of them im pretty sure had it at max levels, it would go through a full cycle in about 90minutes, or an hour plus a half...it is on my favourites list, a french stable one, but some definetly have it working. Edit- i saw you say its been disabled in .45 . I must have played this some weeks ago before the problems were realised. Hope to play again soon on speeded up time -
does suppressor work on it? Also have you tried fit it into backpack?

I thought about this some more last night and I think they will have to consider actually patching both systems into the game. Because they do plan to have private hives, and servers with passwords. they are going to need a system for those (which i seem to prefer, even though I haven't tried the new concept) and a system for the connected hive. I think this would potentially work with weapons and rare vehicle repair items (for chopper not for car parts) As for full vehicles spawns, i hope they aren't limited this way. In my view each server should have an average number of vehicles to start with and not like only 100 jeeps across the whole hive!.,something like 20 bicycles/motorbikes, 10 cars/ trucks, 2 or 3 urals, and 1 or 2 helicopters . Per every server. I would think one little bird and one big heli would be fine for this map to begin with...Similar to the way breaking point do it. They have a good vehicle spawning system which keeps the same amount per server. -

Not on chernarus for me i think that would make it too populated and not seem 'apocalypse' / but eventually they might allow user ported maps like in the mod, there are some very large maps in epoch, also arma 3 altis is my favourite map, could probably handle 150. -

I think its a horrible concept and flawed design personally. I would rather that each server was a self contained 'Chernarus' and could have a small chance of spawning everything in the game item list. Things like NV and Military snipers might have under a 1% Spawn rate, but you would know the chance is there. In the 'self contained' solution you could really make home on a server, knowing you won't have to hop onto others. I think the global hopping concept presented by Hall here is a bad concept which will force multiple server hopping and really detriorate the gaming experience overall. Imagine having to hop servers just to get a vechicle part, and then the server its on gets full or crashes. We need the servers to be stable , reliable, and not hopping around chasing a piece of un-obtainable gear. I get where he's coming from, but Im coming from a gamers perspective, where parts are already rare and never spawn when you need them. this just sounds like a nightmare- 123 replies

all i can see related to it is they are changing the zombie hit range from 3.6 to 3.2... I don't see any mention of like making a running hit animation, so i hope your right anyway

he meants its you reminding him of how downright ridiculous Day Z can be when an un-armed Noob can charge up to a sniper hot spot, use their magic finger death punch and steal a fully armed man's gear. Its not balanced, and due to Desync on the snipers end they probably couldnt hit the guy, and the punch is OP. i think the point was hope H1z1 isn't as ridiculously glitchy as to an unarmed noob can just magic-punch a load of snipers and take whatever he wants. and I agree with the guy, i hope it is a good game, just because you like Day Z doesn't mean you can't like other suvival games- just look at some of the great games Day Z has inspired planet zomboid, the Forest, and State of decay. Pro Zomboid is an excellent game, and H1z1 is looking like it could be pretty good.

Agreed- Suicide button is needed. Forget about people respawning all the time, there is sometimes a bigger picture that needs to be addressed, rather than every single change moaning about ways people will abuse it. This is a computer game, people will use every advantage they can. Fact is sometimes you do need to die in these games. -

Havent entered the ship in a few months, last time i went in super carefully walking everywhere and died still. all it takes is a split second of desync when your on one of those glitchy ass stairways and your character will warp into mid air and die. I have fallen and died in there 2 or 3 times and vow to never go in there again.

I wouldn't mind if like Day Z standalone, they did lunge attacks or I could see the animation. However playing this version you can literally be 10m in front of a zombie, both parties running, and suddenly my health is dropping with no bleeding and no visible attack lunge from the Z. If the Z could flap his arms while he runned, or do a diving slash at me, then fine, i would also be loving it. Its the fact that he does literally no animation or visible indication of an attack, that is breaking it for me. Edit, have some beans, because i know what you mean, i think its hard to find the correct balance.

I thought it was the default anti hack as i was supposed to be playing on a completely vanilla day z mod server, however now you've said that seems they have added that anti hack themselves on that server. To restrict anyone from pressing F12, Or Enter seems ridiculous, but whatever, I'll moan to them about that

No, because if you hopped back to the same one you would incur a wait, also if it was a risky area you would be dangerous to hop in and out of it. To be honest the whole system is a bit dodgy in my opinion, i am kind of looking forward to when private hives allow people to be locked to one server, then they won't act like pricks all the time, and they will have to stay to one server. that has other problems of course but just discussing the whole hive thing kind of makes me not like it at all. -
It already does this for obvious reasons if the wall is behind you and you back up into it. However if the wall is in front of you, and your peeking over it, as OP assumed, its the other way round. there is room behind you for the camera to pan back. This happens in every third person game when something is behind you and u back up, the camera squashes closer. How exactly you would have this automatically work when looking forwards is a different matter. I feel the camera could be zoomed in anyway! It is very far back. The classic camera view from Resident Evil 4 / gears of war is much closer and less usable for abuse

since trying 8.1 on vanilla day z compared to epoch i notice this: Zombies hit me while I am sprinting even with double tap W, they run slightly faster than me and can hit and make me loose blood while I sprint If I press default screenshot key or Enter key server restricted and kicks if press it again

I prefer respawning loot and a game where each individual server can have a chance of spawning everything. However it was very crappy in the mod waiting an area or driving 200m then coming back. They need to make it something like 20minutes wait and no players in that area perhaps. As for restarts, yeah they need to start been stricter with servers for instance have a set number of official servers partly funded by the sales of the game...i feel having no official servers is detrimental as many server admins kick people out, restart it too regulary, or abuse their power..We should always be able to join an official, vanilla, not f**cked with server in my opinion., and B.I. should provide one slot for every copy sold..servers average 1 euro a month per player so 20 euros for the game = 20 months play time by those calculations.. -

not completely un-intended. its one of the reasons that we have a hive system, so if you needed to change server you could carry on, for examples: a server restarting, ending, or going to join your friends on their server. Also intended is limiting parts by Hive, not server, eg. Rare helicopter parts that might only spawn 1 in 10 servers, so i would go as far as to say B.I. are deliberately designing Day Z standalone with server hopping as a meta game, not that I agree with it, just stating the fact -

i know how you feel i just wish there could be a middle speed as I feel the walking speed is correct for when they are 'idle' or just wandering, but when they aggro i wish they could jog or wiggle a bit faster, kind of how like Breaking Point has it, i feel thats a good speed, but yes i like having moire numbers and stronger zombies and the vanilla day z zombies are far too fast for my liking.
