to be honest there is currently not much PVE because the zombies are so low in numbers...When they realise this it might be to late.

it used to be fun to do the weird Sonic the hedgehog run where you bend over, now they disabled that, me and my mates have fun by... randomly punching each other in the head punching windows, trees etc to sound like gun fire Shooting gas stations Shooting zombies in the head talking to bambi's going to berezino on full pop server -
[Day Z: Standalone] Controller Default Layout

wanted to bump this again as vechicles are coming soon and controller support is still broken. I much prefer driving or piloting with G13 joystick/ Xbox controller. Please can the dev's look at controller support when possible -
when is the wipe? can we get some more info? Is it when 0.49 is out?

There needs to be a lot more recoil Added!!! I thought this was supposed to be a realistic game until the last couple weeks I have realised how over powered and sh*t the shooting currently is in alpha! For example- AK Or SKS- You Get LESS RECOIL if you walk slowly while in the scope...the sway without walking is HIGHER than when you walk scoped..you can get amazing accuracy by walking not standing still...So glitched.... Also, the blind fire (hip fire) Is way too accurate..especially with the dot which should be removed months ago! It needs to have at least 50% more recoil and more random deviation not always on the dot like it is now! There needs to more encouragement to stop, take a knee, and aim, rather than charging around hip fire spraying. Aiming summary for me- Remove the walking bug with Ak/ Sks (makes them more accurate than standing still) Less Sway when scoped in holding breath... even after sitting for ages, far too much sway... Remove the dot Add 50% more recoil and a much larger deviation spread for hip fire across all guns

if it's really supposed to be against the rules the server providers should not be given the option to password their server. Allowing the servers providers to do this makes more money but bohemia should make people play by their own rules -

me to i've been hoping for seperate hives for a while so people can have their fun on their own server, including me, where as currently it makes them very OP on public hive.. Just look down the list arrange by less players first and the top 100 servers all have password, or will kick you when you join, not exaggerating guys -

their better than the mod because they can hit while running, a key feature, so your not safe just by keeping on the move , also, they can move quickly inside, so again, your not safe by running inside. these two methods made zombies easy in mod, arent in standalone -
DAYZ Standalone VS. ARMA 2 MOD version

Mod has been out what 2 years and their zombies are still the same...Glitchy, horrible, worse than Standalone zombie...Standalone has been out 6 months and we've seen multiple tweaks on Zombies with pathfinding soon to come... Average mod zombie: Sprints faster than the character Hits you from 3.2 metres away Hits you randomly without doing hit animation Can't hit while moving Can't run inside Moves and looks like soldier (dodges bullets/cars) Standalone Zombie: Sprint speed currently balanced nicely Can run inside can hit while moving can only hit from a logical distance (1metre or something) Does a nice animation Graphics way better Looks like a zombie -
yeah its really quick i think the guy who said it's fine has been playing nothing but standalone for a while, i play a lot of shooters as well as DayZ mod, when i come back to standalone its really noticable how quick you sprint. Its like giant strides. they are going to need to reduce the top speed slightly as well as stamina system.

still not in yet yes needs to be added. Hydration is a complete non-worry in Standalone, rivers, pumps in every town, and soda's . No need to ever worry about drink. Please give a chance of infection to all water unless it is boiled, to enhance the survival challenge of Day Z

we are simply asking for a very basic function, which should be standard function in an online game. Lan / Private / Passworded server... None of these are available... the system is in place as it is in the mod...Server have password, and come off the main hive..the player data stores in the server database, just like in the mod, this is the same engine, all the background is going to be the same, Same server hosts so similar set up... Edit: Pm'ing you. had enough of this bs

not hard, works fine in the hundreds of day z mod servers.

i feel like zombies population should be configured to spawn inside the buildings which would scale them accurately to the town population..if every building contained 2-4 zombies it would give a good zombie numbers and realistic feel to each town rather than them spawning on the road..Places like military bases should be ram filled with soldier zombies...simple changes like this would make looting challenging and people would be less likely to just kill everything they see..anything to reduce KOS will improve the game and I think most people agree with that even the bandit players

If pass word = on Public Hive = Off So they wont be able to gather loot to use on public PVP servers.. Do you miss the point? They paid £20 to pay a game yet we are supposed to 'rent' a server that is nothing personal and has no rights...Why Don't BI just provide the server if we can't do anything with the server? Until they give private password hives the whole server system is a complete rip off.

Good to hear, I have seen flashmob videos too which looked good, but i have tried twice with a large group, and the servers crashed. There was no dupers. There were probably a few idiots with like a vest inside a backpack, but apart from that, everything legit..I think we need more testing in this field.

If you play a lot of the mod you will see our current SA sprint speed is about 25km or the same as a mountain bike going slow..I think its needs reducing by like 30% or something..it is a bit crazy fast..

their gonna do it anyway its pretty much been stated by the Devs privates will happen it's just a question of when, should have been there from the start. They probably want to get out of beta and main release beforehand, maybe testing their whole hive loot system bollocks. Anyway,,,just give server hosts the option to put a password. They are paying ridiculous amounts to host servers for a game they already paid to play (!)

well just a shed and some wooden walls around it so far i am not sure how to make everything like the locked doors and so on, it was a while ago i last played epoch where I made a locked door with the cinderblock or something like this -
Obviously, private hive means its not on the same as public hive, so people wouldn't hop between the two, I assumed everyone takes that as a given
