yeah i know that but 10 minutes slows them down drastically and they would take an hour to search 5 servers. Its a temp fix to stop this server raping. -

10 minute break if you join a different server than the one you've just been on, unless you've had a break from the game for over an hour. Its gamebreaking. Again i reference Breaking Point which Already does this. 10 minutes is fine. and stop them doing this -
Same issue. I've had the game since launch night and have only played about 1 hour. UK Servers are CONSTANTLY all at 40/40 Cannot join, server full Last night waiting for host. Really need servers adding at least double!

Learn some manners Deranger i wrote a long post with several issues , i feel the mouse aiming is gamebreaking right now. Its constructive feedback and that is what participating in an alpha / beta is all about, I've played in several and developers want to know our feelings and how the game is playing. So I will complain, and I feel aiming is broken, But other elements are hopeful. Of course i want to be part of the development, if you can't handle hearing how the game plays out + thoughts of things that should change, you need to take your own rude advice. We waited two years for a standalone only to be told its going to take another year to add basic functions. After been told repeatedly zombies are fixed and completely redone. their actually in a worse state than the mod. I saw a zombie last night, it was just stood stationary until i walked near it, then it glitch attacked me with no animation as I stood swinging a crowbar for 2 minutes until it connected. they made other mods remove this melee because its somehow copyright to have a broken melee that is actually a gun shooting the floor. ...Yeah, good job. -

in the UK the servers are all stuck at 40/40 its pretty hard to join a server let alone find anything Needs more servers in the Uk still. Cannot play the game because there isn't any room.

Hi I have tried to keep constantly up to date with this games progress and watched all of the videos. In the last video (not where rocket got killed, one before) where the guy ran around with the compass in the day time outside, he saw several zombies and they functioned better than in the standalone we have. He spoke about how the pathfinding had improved and the zombie looked a bit better. In the standalone it seems we came backwards since rockets last 'promo' video. Its good the loot is hard core but no protection against server hopping hoarders is probably part of that issue and its unbelievable as a simple 5 min delay on hopping would have solved that As for optimisation I was replying to the guy who claimed it runs smoothly and all that. The aiming is awful can we agree on that? Mouse mechanics are for want of a better word, broken. I look forward to updates and further debate -

i know I will try to be less rude with my words and more descriptive. Overall it is Ok but disapointing in some ways. Remember everyone is passionate and expressive of their critisms and thoughts because we are passionate and love Day z. thanks :) -

I agree. Using Arma 3's nighttime mechanic, and Aiming/Mouse mechanic is Essential to make this a serious game. With the current aiming mechanics it is a joke to control the aim.

Exactly its an Alpha and Im giving feedback as a massive Day Z fan I can see major flaws already and i am happy to provide my feedback to Help the great developers free of charge. I work hard for my money and my time is valuable. -

My opinion is the game wasn 't ready for Alpha and B.I. and Steam forced it out quick to make a shed load of money at christmas. I am entitled to my opinion, I think all the money that has been raised should be put towards more staff, if indeed there is only 6 people working on this, then it will take them ages to make it into the game they want. How many years are you prepared to wait and go back to playing on an outdated engine? Should have been in Arma 3 engine and further along by now (my opinion., you are entitled to yours but no need to be rude and say things i did not even say.) -

Mouse control is awful-worse than Arma 2 Acceleration and flickery aim - this is the prime problem in my opinion how can it feel good when the mouse is like aiming on Sticky ice? Push in Arma 3's aiming mechanics should have been the first thing they did in the last year, i just dont get it. Its Sh*t aiming. Worse than Arma 2. The frame rate is jumpy- the same map in Arma 3 's engine is more stable on my system There are literally no zombies, i've seen 3 in several hours and many miles covered The loot system needs work The text based system of health/ drink is cr*p. Worse than icons in my opinion. Breaking point mod had a far more realistic and beautiful way- eg. hungry belly rumbles, head pumps for a drink, Day Z mod just writes a bit of text?! Which seems lazier and just not fit for the purpose. That bottom left area is for chat and seeing whos connecting not constant Spam messages saying Im hungry. Icons where better, Breaking Point Arma 3 did the whole no icons things way better. Seriously the whole health text thing Sucks very hard from where I am sitting. Same problems as mod: Combat logging, and new problem full servers no loot Summary: Negative: Aiming feels clunky as hell Acceleration problems persit even though Arma 3 fixed all that, you have used old sh*t engine not 2.5 as some people claim Movement system is worse (in Arma 2 you can use a single button to toggle crouch, in DAY Z:SA you have to have a stand up button) He also moves in big obvious footsteps now and movement seems more digital less analog Badly optimised server and map Bad system for health Servers are all 40/40 in UK and impossible to play in prime time (5pm onwards) Servers are stuck on night time even in day Hardly any zombies or loot] Combat logging, Server hopping, NO Security against this cr*p -Even breaking point (hate to keep bringing it up, but) has a system that makes you wait 10 minute s if you change server, and 30 seconds before logging out. Simple, but would work effectively in SA People are using gamma cheat to have bright at night -should have used Arma 3 's way of not enhancing shadows - see other threads. Simple fix . Positive: Character creation system (but none are as cool as the simple camo face from Arma 2) Clothing and inventory is slightly improved Sun rays Nice to play official mod So overall, I think its a bad job and im dissapointed but continuin to play. Before everyone flames, I KNOW ITS AN ALPHA The point of an alpha for me, is to be critical and constructive critism, as I have highlighted ways and solutions , and let the developer know my thoughts so far. I am happy it was released in time for christmas and will encourage many new players. Currently I feel Breaking Point is in a better state than this mod. -

Surely after the million dollars they have just made of steam they can employ more than 6 people. After all the money just pulled in they should employ a squad of new Day Z workers and get the sh*t finished ASAP. Taking another year is taking the piss in my opinion! NE0 -
No we haven't . I have not, and I will not cheat and ruin immersion . I can handle a bit of dark if the timing worked. Somethign is glitched. I still want night time, you really are a bunch of whining cheating pussys.

I disagree, I like a pitch black night. It just shows the player cannot handle not seeing and needs hand-holding by the game, that was designed to be pitch black. If you want to 'cheat' ruin immersion and crank up settings, Thats on you, not the game. I downloaded a mod for skyrim called Darker nights, which makes the nights properly black, because at night without light guess how it is? -
Consider they haven't added wildlife yet, which will be killable with your knife though i agree, a can is easy to open, with a knife you can make some small incisions and then grind it on concrete, lid lifts off easily, no strength required.

Please don't take this as the general players view. This is a noob view. I played Epoch for several months under the team UN. a Helpful team for survivors who killed bandits and helped friendlies Me and my team always prefer a real time server (even though i work a 9-5) I find it so much more immersive real time, time, is server time, and nights last 10hrs or whatever., days 14 hrs, keep it realistic. dont start servers with 24 .7. day. And to stop the gamma problem use the Arma 3 style stencil lighting which stops people gamma cheats. One love, good luck survivors, Agent Neo, veteran day z player
