yes really looking forward to this patching through!!! More experimental servers would be good so all our friends can try the new items. I mean we have waited months for things like hunting, fire crafting. 2 million people own Day Z . I bet most of them want to try the new items. Theres only about 40 experimental servers so most people got to wait. also, the new designs for the fireplace, animals, AK gun, and other new items all have a very nice art style and look realistic while keeping a slightly stylised appearance, so well done to the creative team and artists for all their hard work!

i don;t mind that its actually realistic- rival groups could use their native language or communicate with signals/whispering/muttering in real situation, that isn;t really possible in day z, so i actually believe TS or whatever is just like muttering under your breath, or whispering. I honestly dont see why people have a problem with that.

please headshot only, an infected human wouldnt die from a shot to the foot either, Make all guns work almost like the sporter 22 (headshot only!!!) Zombies are gonna be too f easy.! On experimental even though they run through walls they are re balanced and die off one whack from melee again. Its so easy. I hope they make them much more violent and also give them more varied and random attack animations. -

back on experimental they are too easy...Every gun should be like the .22 gun.. Head shot kill only. Currently the FNX pistol can kill a zombie one shot to the foot. We need a balance between stable/ experimental zombies -

I naturally wouldnt build a campfire in the rain. I built mine inside or in shelter. Apparantly if you build in the rain its harder to light with matches. -
gone back to stable after teleporting back down green mountain last night. its well worth a try, to craft the cooking fire and cook a deer or cow is fun.. I cannot wait for this update to hit stable..it has breathed new life into day z

my logitech g13 analog stick that I use for char movement / vechicle steering in all arma's is no longer registering either. Switching to stable build it works , its in devices, Switching to experimental build , it doesn't work, it doesnt show up in devices (but controls are still mapped to it) the keys work but the analog joystick is not working Also I tested with xbox controller, works in Stable, does not work in Experimental None of the xbox buttons/ joysticks are working Also doesn't show in devices for experimental but does in stable Same PC / hardwear / device set up in stable /experimental (gtx 660, i5 4670K, win 7 64) I think its something to do with recognising the devices.? Thanks -
Logitech G13 Keyboard/ Joystick no longer working in Experimental.

I have an issue with Logitech G13 Keyboard/ Joystick no longer working in Experimental. This joystick usually works for my character movement/ vechicle steering alongside the keys on every Arma and works fine on Stable branch Day Z SA. The screenshot here shows me in options in experimental branch and you can see the Logitech stick (logitech g13 Stick Y-) selected for char. movement here. However it no longer registers in game; and if I move it to assign/unassign it no-longer registers. To test if this is an issue with other controllers, I plugged in my xbox controller, which I had configured previously for testing purpose. Anyway- it no longer registered either (neither shows up in devices) and the cues for pressing X/ A were not there as they normally are if I launch with it plugged in. Edit. Too add, I have been on experimental branch about 3 weeks ago and not had this issue. -
A bit of progression would be good, 7days to die and project zomboid both have excellent progression tree systems that will reset upon death...

I tested the thing with the spray paint and it does not work anymore. One bullet stayed in the clip after spraying. So hopefully it's all fixed, unless there is some other way i don't know about. Ok

We dont have access to any real fire-arms such as shotguns or assault rifles., and there aren't gun shops in my town. But i have fired off small calibre 22 rifles set up with scopes and gas bb guns on farm land a couple of times. I see the point above saying we are empty vessels but I dont agree with random dispersion at all..Maybe if firing from the hip there should be small dispersion, but not ADS.

Public Day Z is already turning into a non Stop PVP deathmatch, so you probably won;'t need a private server for that... but yes it is about giving people options to play in slightly their own style while still keeping an overall 'day z ' feel to it, quite a challenge for the admin'/developer options .. Forcing everyone to play the same blanket set of rules can frustrate your playerbase as is currently the case with some people tired of been KOS many times.. already have had to do hard core servers as some people prefer not to have third person view as they feel it is an exploit. Another big point is Day / Night cycle... seems most of the community like day time only,, however i am also looking for full day /night cycles as part of the fun.. So the community gets split around certain things like this which can easily be togglable on a server basis but don't effect the overall game too much. Also the servers are very, very expensive. Paying £70 a month i think they are and so they should get some options to set it up the way they prefer. Otherwise why bother renting one? The game needs money and servers need paying for so also consider that. -

Ive read it many times but the dates aren't in there bud On topic i think stuff should of course persist when you die- thats kind of the whole point of it... yeah unrealistic but so is 49 people running around the East Coast shooting at each other instead of the zombies. -
does anyone know if they have fixed the dust clouds so you can see the bullet impacts again?? I dont actually find the weapons as bad as shown in these diagrams..my m4 and Mosin shots always seem right on the top even at 200/300m...haven;t really noticed this massive dispersion range or i would be missing zombies often,, i pretty much always hit the zombies first shot and i've shot a lot of them... Also i dont like all this we are untrained noob civilians and not military talk. from just playing games for many years, paintballing, BB guns and rifles, and other basic team games we can handle and shoot a gun fairly accurately.. And thats coming from someone in the UK with no access to fire arms...

I agree with Caboose, I want to play a hardcore vision of Day Z.. I feel the playerbase is so obssessed with KOS and deathmatching that it is hard to get a 'serious' roleplay type game going in Day Z. So that's what Im looking forward to it Edit. the options may need limiting to stop the variety of servers getting out of control. For example recently brought 7 days to die and its impossible to know which server is which and what the 'official ' game was supposed to be because every server is using different rules. -
I'll watch your video later. I know it is hard when you meet a group of randoms in game and trying to get people to be positive. however i have managed that before and I'm not an official leader either. Maybe you need to make better friends :)

I'm looking forward to the private hives for the opposite reason to the majority of players. I want to play on a mostly PVE encouraged server with extra zombies spawning and less military loot. This will be more fun for a large group of friendly type survivors than the more deathmatch, military vechicle type servers that are popular on the mod. On a second note it will also be nice to have a seperate character for public and for private. It means people won't be hopping into the private server with a fully geared ammo muels. -
wait why are you all laughing and playing a long then? When that one guy started been a prick and whacking with his weapons you should have told them to step the f down. Same when they handcuffed him and started circling around him. You all acted like a bunch of bandits. You need to control your team better.

its no where near as bad as you say it. You have to remember this is DayZ community and where nearly everyone is a thief, murderer or bandit. Most people's tents will get burned down or ran over quickly. Other players will steal the loot or destroy them.

I think thats part of the same problem but I havent had that issue i can often sneak past a zombie in current build with a wall between us.. -
they don't need to do all that cigarettes is just quite common and would likely be a small resource for trading along with matches and other small commodities

just a joke as i am really looking forward to the pathfinding fix. There is a potential crisis with poisonous ground water from fracking in many countries as well as diminishing organic food supplies, bees almost extinct and geo engineering.. -
So what do you think is the optimum distance to use for Standalone? 2000? I just checked for Day z S.A my settings say sceneComplexity=500000; shadowZDistance=250; viewDistance=3000; preferredObjectViewDistance=1800; . And I have better frames in Arma 3 with a 1500 view I think.
