I hope so. I don't object to the occasional wipe but I've tried three servers, not one seems to have any loot at all.

Oh good, it's not just me. I thought I was going crazy for a while there, I kept following the compass north and winding up on the East coast. It's happened so often I no longer bother carrying a compass, more trouble than they're worth at the moment.

Oh yeah, You just want to get close and have me let my guard down... because I just said how much awesome loot I'm Lugging..... I know your game buddy, I'm not new to Cherno ;) Good idea tho, Think maybe it's worth trying to gather a 'gang' of people who mainly want to test?. If we have say 6..8 people then we can just take over somewhere like Zelenogorsk (one of my favourite place on the map), 2..3 people on security while the others can just run around like lunatics doing their thing. I really don't have the first clue how people organise these types of thing tho, so if anyone else thinks thats a good idea: suggestions? BTW, 0 found on steam for 'Woodland Warrior'?. Oh, and I'm MortOOPz on steam. I guess connecting there is as good'a way to get started as any, right? (I honestly don't know, I only put steam on for ArmA3, and have never used it for anything other than starting games, has it got chat/VoIP/stuff?) Yes, we can all be patronising, it's not tricky. I've got something like 75hours of gameplay racked up, I'm still getting 2..3 hours/death even tho most of the time I just run around (carelessly) looking for things to test out.... during which periods I make sure to never carry a gun, in the deluded hope that not being in the least bit threatening; will slightly reduce the likely hood that I'll be shot by the first douche I see..... It does not. Other times, when I actually want good gear. well, I get good gear... all of it, I've currently got just about everything except a rail forgrip for my M4 (so I can stick a light on), backpack full of supplies and a belly so full I don't want to eat any more in case I start puking... I even found a walkie talkie... not sure how to use it yet, but I've got one. It is indeed not hard if you constantly play like its a death match, but... ya know... I just don't want to do that ALL the time. And yes, they want gameplay feedback, but trust me, there's over half a million players now, right?... and it seems that just about every damn one kills everyone they see.... I think they've got enough data on the combat for now. There might be all kinds of weird bugs associated with fires or cooking or something, but how would we ever know when everyone is playing deathmatch?.

Two things. 1: I was asking not telling, I'm just so bored of running round collecting basics only to be shot for the... umm?, probably about 30th time. (there's really no need to gun someone down if they only got a melee weapon (unless he's charging at you) I mean, you've got a gun, what's a new spawn going to have that you need?). and: 2: You know this is an Alpha right?... The whole point being that it's for testing (not for playing)... It's kinda hard to test anything when people kill you long before you manage to gather the parts required to do that testing. I'm still wondering if a camp fire or camping stove, a cooking pot, a bottle of water and some raw rice can be combined to make cooked rice.... Never managed to collect up all the necessary bits and pieces to test it.... thank you KoSsers. Thanks for all the beans guys, Guess I eat well tonight :)

Play on the same server as much as possible, until you figure out its reboot schedule. Once you do and a reboot is due, position yourself somewhere overlooking military supplies and wait for the reboot. Rejoin ASAP then make a game of slaughtering server hoppers, you get a flood of em for the first few minutes, so even the fairly poor loot spots quite often get one. But please, Leave anyone who legitimately walks in alone, don't be a KoS douche bag when you're under no threat yourself.... anyone who just appears in a building is fair game tho. Trust me, it's a lot more satisfying killing people for a good reason. One tip, pretty much everyone starts at the front of a barracks and works back room by room, then when they leave they go from the back room out the front door..... in a straight, predictable line... which can be somewhat helpful for aiming ;).

Added. but it does kinda throw off the statistics adding something after the voting has started.

Eeeh, not so hard if you look in the right place, searching just one area took my damaged and worn (as i found it) M4 to fully kitted out: acog, flash light, silencer etc, 100% pristine. (now I'm scared to leave the woods because I just know someone will try to kill me for my gun ;))

So. every time I've died and immediately quit the game (not 'rage quitting', it just seems a natural stopping point.... time to do something else for an hour or two). I robbed the KoSing bastards of all my gear?. Awesome, Couldn't be happier.

Me?, Just one guy who snuck up on me, I saw movement, panicked and hit him with my axe, I then backed off and apologised... but he wouldnt take the hint and just kept coming at me.... so I had to finish him off.

There are M4s everywhere.... if you look in the places they are. I've not seen a Mosin in ages tho, first gun I found was a Mosin but I never found ammo for it and died. not seen another one since. Where do they spawn?

You don't really need to imagine, just run around like a lunatic in some big towns after a server reboot, you can get 5..6 of em chasing you no problem. I had about 8 once; just to see how hard it was to fight them off. a splitter axe made light work of em, they turn real slow so just run in circles and you'll be fine.

Well, It finally happened, I ran into someone unexpectedly while searching around in Polana, I waved; he lowered his weapon and carried on searching without feeling the need to kill me first. So, thats one other player who's not an arse out of 8..10 now.... that or he just didnt have any ammo.
