Good evening gentlemen! Just finished having a wonderful evening with a terrible ending and I figure if I can prevent one other person from having the same issue going forward, my night will have been a success. Was enjoying this server with my buddy when we ran into two players. I got killed but my buddy finished them both off. We didn't think anything of it until the server suffered from a "unscheduled reset" 10 seconds later. This raised an eyebrow. Obviously spawning back in, all bodys and gear had despawned both of their gear and mine. Shit happens no biggy. However as my buddy is guarding the location, he shoots a new spawn who arrives at the location with uncanny timing. Immediately after we both get banned for "homophobic slurs". Server name: Level 10 Spring Deer Isle - Extreme Survival - 1PP Address: 192.154.248.90:2302 Server version: 0.-.- Required game version: 1.21.0

AI that detects all cheating in FPS games

Does it detect admin abuse?! hahahaha >: / -
Did I mention that the vehicles are still trash? We want them fixed or at the very least publicly say something about it.
-
Hey devs we all love your game and all but can you come here for a second? Closer. Little closer… FIX THE VEHICLES glad I could get that off my chest 😃
-
Server performance is still shit a lot of the time when operating at 60/60. Can we address?
-
Needing to peel potatoes before eating them is retarded. Most of the nutrition from a potato comes from the skin. Other then that, happy to see an update being tested so soon. I love the fact you guys fixed the whole car battery going dead from starting the vehicle but not recharging while in a running vehicle. Also love how the vehicle attachments can now be locked on by using the proper tool. Seems like Gews already chewed your asses out for fucking with the ballistics so I'll hold my tongue. However I did go for quite the wild flight test in one of the trucks in this 1.11 patch and it would be nice if you guys could get them to stop flying around, it's funny but it's not that funny. Cheers.

Please fix your game. "-Fixed an exploit to look/glitch through walls"

Confirm me and my buddy are having those exact issues. Server performance has simply shit the bed. I'm really favoring that term today.
-
Server performance has tanked in this update. Everyone knows it. Fix that ASAP. On a good note it is nice to see the game slowly regain some of the features you guys ripped out during the transition to 1.0. Honestly I love this game and it’s not like anyone else is doing anything close to it that’s any better... BUT fuck literally why even have an experimental branch if you are still going to shit the bed on stable launch? Sorry for being rude but it gets old and I haven’t had coffee yet.

Wondering if anyone else is noticing server crashes happening more often since this patch? Server Dayz US - NY 6053 31.214.136:2502 seems to be having some issues staying up. Wasn't sure if it was patch related.

Hackers on official servers are rampant (proof included)
Jonoats replied to Anticonn's topic in General Discussion
The hacking situation is definitely spiking again, feels like the mod days all over. I'm happy to hear that you guys are actively working on removing players that are hacking however I have some concerns. All the talk about moving away from fps architecture towards a mmo architecture and the server having sanity checks to specifically combat this type of activity and yet we see it all the same 🤨. I noticed the first official answer to this was to make a private message or to slap it up on the feedback tracker instead of posting publicly and I can understand this as obviously hackers love the salt but when I take the actual time out of my life to go to the feedback tracker and chime in I notice that the developers respond saying "issue resolved" and that bans and anticheat are under exclusive control of the battleeye team? Anticheat isn't that difficult, quit saying its a never-ending battle, when developers lack the ability and or the conviction to place severe punishments onto known hackers or at the very least make it extremely inconvenient for them to get back on the game I start to believe that perhaps they are all on the same side. Hacking is a HUGE money business I can definitely see why that could be the case. Anyways ran into two "speedhackers" on server "DayZ US 3664224 HC" talked with the one guy for quite awhile he wasn't KOS, it's a lot more then just speed hacking. He could literally see all players within the network bubble, and all loot, all dirt piles, all tents etc, within his area. At the end of the day, all he wanted was some friends though.. Me and my buddy said no 😘. -
This has made things a lot more interesting to say the least. Been playing on private hives. Survival takes some thought now, you cannot play the game the way you did before and expect to survive for long. Loving the persistence, have had a few tent/camp wars already. In order to survive you can't sprint everywhere, you will die. Gotta be slow and thorough and not miss any looting opportunities. Overall I like the direction that the devs are taking it but it's not all roses. Anyone find it ironic that? (list) - You can't cut seeds out of any veggies. - You can't get fish fillets from fish (either caught by line or trap). - Cooking pots/pans appear to be extremely rare? - Garden plots are not persistent. Yet even with all those survival mechanics bunked we are still able to survive off the minimal loot, some apples, and farmed veggies. That's pretty decent I'd say. I'd also say it's not just by chance all those mechanics are broken. If it is just chance then it makes this all the funnier lol.

This is difficult to just not reply to. I lack imagination because I agree with you that people hear things all on their own without a sound ever being made? You want the developers to keep "fake" sounds in the game so you don't have to imagine them yourself? Now that is lack of imagination. -

I would think I am hearing bugged audio, which would be correct. Allegedly you are going to "hear" things anyways with or without "fake" audio; so why try and simulate hearing things if that's something us humans already do. It's hysterical, and really breaks the immersion. In the mod, when you thought you heard something it was a big deal, because you knew if you really did hear something it was another player, not some audio glitch. This added a hell of a lot more stress to that question of "did I hear something?". -

Don't really wanna post on this subject... but. If us as people allegedly do hear things all the time, then why not let us hear things and not actually put the audio in the game. If the audio for a pop cracking open plays, I don't think I hear it, I do hear it. You guys would have us playing some weird inception style simulation game, where we are simulating a simulation of our character. -
Just getting bored of the servers resetting without warning on 90% of the servers, or conveniently resetting right after killing people. Servers not displaying when they will be resetting is just completely needless. This along with the recent memory bug has pretty much killed dayz for me.
-
Everyone I know, if they play long enough (more then an hour in some cases) will fail on that random memory error or just crash to desktop. All start-up parameters clear, just posting to say I'd be very surprised to find these crashes are isolated occurrences.

I've had a wonderful day with this patch so far. However just got out of the Lootin and Shootin! server. IP: 162.255.136:2502 and can confirm that certain hacks still definitely work. Me and a friend were messing around when 2 shots were fired from right behind us killing my friend. Looking over my shoulder I was quickly able to see the enemy player laying down behind her... less then 5 feet away from me. Then he disappeared instantly. I searched the area thinking lag was the culprit over the next 5 mins. My friend respawned and I decided since the server just reset perhaps I'll drag all her gear to the ground and maybe she can recover it. Her body was now 50' away having slid down the hill a bit. In third person I tabbed into her body. Upon tabbing out I saw the same enemy player (red knapsack for a backpack) appear in the prone position directly behind my player. He then shot me and I died. Thought I'd share my experience, going to go see if there is a ticket made for teleportation/esp yet in the tracker.

Update Rev. 0.36.115535 (Experimental branch)

Upon server restart in experimental every zombie around was invisible, causing 2 major issues. They make annoying as fuck noises that never stop, and you can't hit them but they can hit you. -
Update Rev. 0.36.115535 (Experimental branch)
Jonoats replied to Hicks_206 (DayZ)'s topic in News & Announcements
Alright, just posting up that the experimental branch as it is right now has more desync problems then I've seen yet throughout the alpha. Character will often rubber-band like 10 feet back, as well as other players as well. Perhaps it's just everyone trying to join into the experimental or something, but I hope it's fixed by the time we hit stable. I hope their working on it. In a nutshell I would describe the current version of the game as clunky as hell. I know guys alpha alpha alpha, I'm just saying it's been smoother then the experimental is now. -
Hotfix changelog: Stable Branch: 0.35.115188
Jonoats replied to mattlightfoot's topic in News & Announcements
Well experimental has been smooth as butter. Except for the last 15 mins. Server seemingly got unstable, upon respawning I had a dupe of myself sitting in front of me. I shot the dupe, there was a good 10 second lag between my shot and the impact. My friends and I then decided that we should change servers because this one isn't cutting the mustard. Just as I hit the confirmation of exit button I hear the pitter patter of zombie feet... bam! spawned fresh on the beach  . Anyone else experiencing odd things like this? Not so much the zombie running up right as I'm logging, that's just my butthurt talking, but more so the fucky server connection every now and again. (no desync). -
Server hopping has gotten worse. (actuall analysis, not a whine thread)
Jonoats replied to crazykage's topic in General Discussion
I find that by playing on servers that remain near or at full capacity the amount of people logging in looking for loot is greatly diminished due to the fact that nobody goes to a full server for loot. However, a lot of players tend to use "glitches" near high loot area's to ambush players. Sucks seeing a guy glitch out from a rock after shooting at your friend. I suggest learning of these spots and acting accordingly. As far as actual loot goes, the full servers always have butt-loads of gear piles with legs running around (players) all in very predictable positions. Use your head and anticipate what the majority of people are doing, (looting, and moving to vantage points and then spawning in on high pops). A large part of this problem is in my opinion the spawn system only spawning players on the eastern parts of the map. All those towns get looted incredibly fast and people not knowing how to navigate end up going along predictable paths where they often have unfortunate encounters with people looking to fire off their new fancy weapons. If you only play on nearly empty servers though your militarized zones are going to be plagued by loot cyclers. They'll do it for the safety. Loot respawns will help keep them out of towns I guess though.
