Thanks, this is what i am trying to say, i just don't get some of the people on this forum, you will not learn the game by running into the wilderness and they all know it.

I find that 'FREEEEEZE, FREEEZE, FREEEZE' tends to work quite well. Dont do it if you dont have a gun to back your threat up though.

Increasing the post count. Also i will say i avoid all ladders that i know are bugged which is literally half the ladders in the game especially the ones in the towers. Rocket sort the ladders out.

If you want spaggheti and beans head north, if you want guns and fun head west along the coast. When the loot is sorted north might be a viable option but if you dont know where you are going you will find nothing up north and everyone on here know it. As was said before try and find someone to team up with to increase you chances at surviving.

Yes but that is where he will learn, not running through a forest for two hours no t knowing where to go and thiinking like i did, well this is shit, while all the vets are having fun west. You all know west is where its at so why when new players ask does everyone say run north into the middle of nowhere, its as if you try and put new players off.

I would ignore this advise that people like to give new players. If you dont know where you are going when you head north you will end up finding nothing certainly not weapons, what you need to do is follow the coast all the way west until you come to a military base, there you can get your first weapon and a real feel for the game. The most i have had is three zombies chasing me at any one time and iove been around the map so if your looking for a challenge you will be sorely dissapointed, on the other hand the spawns are always around the south west coast go there if you want to 'help' people

To the ninja with the wrench in the fire station. Why did you keep attacking me even after i shot you twice and warned you god knows how many times that i had a gun why did you chase me for five minutes down the road with a wrench bleeding profusely and refusing all my offers of bandages forcing me to shoot you. Honestly the people on This game.

Same unless im with my friends and even though were all friendly people will run at the first sight of three people together no matter what, cant blame them really.

So far to travel though, but you are right also theres a ship there where i got some really cool loot.

To be fair i have met some nice people, generally fresh spawns seem to be nicer then longer lived players for obvious reasons but i know how you feel. I once had a spare pistol and some ammo, this man gained my trust so i gave it to him and when i turned my back he unloaded the entire clip into me, that was a lesson well learned.-

I dropped u a message, the people on this forum are not helpful at all even though they all know you need to know where to go to get a gun they wont tell you and the moderaters dont care.

So my first taste of being a bandit happened the other day when i was the best equipped i had ever been with an axe and a mosin rifle so here is the story. I was raiding some houses in the largest city when i heard a noise behind me. I turned around to see a person standing behind me, surprised i readied my axe for the swing but i heard a man shouting friendly down the microphone so i approached him carefully. To my amazement i heard the man asking me for some spare stuff, i replied as a friendly person would 'so what kind of stuff are you looking for, weapons'. I could tell his face lit up and he says 'Yes please'. It was at this moment i proceeded to bury my axe in his face, with one blow the man lay dying before me. Staring at his lifeless dead body i started feeling extremely guilty because i could tell the player was brand new, i imagined myself in his shoes and started regretting my murderous decision but i remembered the forum and the one cardinal rule, trust no one, his fault not mine. Anyway the question i wanted to ask is where are the military bases on this game and what is the best way to find them?????. Also is it me or is the loot not random enough meaning that new players will never find the good stuff where as old players from the mod will know exactly where to go to get all the good stuff straight away and then proceed to murder all the noobs for fun, that seems a little bit unfair to me so why keep the spawns in the same place ???

My post was not a simple question of fully armed vet and noob killing fresh spawn which you have tried to turn it into to defend your pathetic attempt at arguing. my OP was talking about the issue of finding the good equipment, new players not knowing where it is and veterans using the equipment that they know how to find to kill newly spawned players. Two massive differences so give up your arguments. They are becoming ridiculous and as your last post has just proved you don't understand the context of the original post and that is why you can not make any sort of reply that actually addresses the issue i brought up instead it is just garbage responses and pure douchebaggery. I wont reply to you again.

A new player killing a new player with a common axe and a veteran fully geared up with combat vest, helmet, fully loaded guns and probably several people spawn killing on the south coast is hardly the same thing and you know it. I made that clear in the post which you obviously have lots of trouble understanding otherwise you would not have written such a stupid little reply,

The first thing you should do when you spawn is get your bearings and start to learn where the major cities and villages are. 90% of the time you will spawn on the south coast so use your dayz map to find out where this is and also try and note some locations down. I understand some people feel this ruins the game but in my personal opinion the thing that was ruining the game for me was not knowing the layout of the map and where the important locations are because so many people do know where to go that it puts you at a MASSIVE disadvantage to people who have played the mod. Try to find a couple of tins of food and a melee weapon and something to drink. Drinking is not too important as you can drink from ponds and wells on the way just make sure you over drink this way you can avoid getting that annoying message about being thirsty If you see a house with a door open this means it has been looted most of the time so it is probably best to avoid these houses. Once you think you know where you are on the map and you are comfortable with what direction you can travel in you need to start heading toward the airport at balota. This is where the majority of the best gear and weapons are on the south coast and also is not far from a military base, also full of all that fancy gear that everyone has but you can not seem to find. If you can master this route that almost all dayz veterans take you will find yourself really starting to enjoy the game after a couple of deaths and you will understand why people like it so much. Good luck my fellow noobs and remember TRUST NO ONE (unless you pre arrange a meeting) And remember the most important thing is to learn the map and find out where the best items are, only then can you truly become competative at dayz.

Your probably correct there, but i can say since i have found out these little things it has made my experience so much more exciting. I could now make a long list of the amount of hold your breath moments i have had around these locations and i just want other new players to know about them. :D
